I was satisfied at the flavor of the ice cream, the presentation of the nachos but I think we could use better spoons for sure ! There are so many toppings to pick from but I wanted to keep it simple , I've always been told that if you can nail the basics , you don't need 1000 other flavors or toppings to make it taste right and I absolutely agree . I went for vanilla ice cream and it was amazing ! So full of flavor and the portion was perfect. The place is very clean and well kept., wish they would offer water but it's okay! Parking is ample and very safe . The young gal that helped us was very informational and professional and we would probably come back., just with our own spoon . It's nice to be able to get Fossilman's ice cream near where I live without having to travel to Alhambra. However, the price is definitely higher due to they are just a distributor not owned by Fossilman. I was also very disappointed that they only allow two samples. I dont think I have ever experienced limiting on samples especially when they have so much flavors! So easy to be indecisive! And they didn't have anywhere to put the used sample spoons conveniently. Very unusual compared to other Ice cream shops. I wanted to see if they can pack a pint for me to go but they only have the pre-packed one. The young lady working behind the counter was very pleasant and friendly and when asked if this shop was associated with the Fossleman's Ice Shop in the city of Alhambra (there were numerous Fossleman's Pics hanging on the wall), the young g employee shared that this shop is owned by one of the grandson's of the Fossleman family. I can no longer support this place. It's not because of the service which has been excellent almost every single time nor is the quality of the ice cream itself which has been great most of the time but it's due to the prices that I have watched go up more and more to the point that it's no longer worth it. For my wife and I, to get two scoops each with my wife getting a cone and myself just a cup cost us almost $20. At Handels, you can get an equivalent size (actually a bit more ice cream) for $5 less for us two which is a huge difference and personally, not a downgrade in quality. So the very first time I went to the ice cream shop in Glendora I was just going to get sherbet ice cream, but then they had lavender honey ice cream, and I have never tried that before so I tried a little spoonful and I was hooked. I take everyone there from my family to friends and they absolutely love it. The staff are wonderful and professional. You don't wait long. They're quick you get your ice cream. There are not many choices in downtown Glendora but as we walked up and down the downtown area after dinner, we ended up choosing The Ice Cream Shop. It's a cute little shop. Not much seating inside but lots of outside seating. We usually go for ice cream after dinner and I really wanted to love it. I liked that they had different flavors like Ube, Taro, Honey Lavender... I requested 2 flavors. I wish she could have put both scoops next to each other in the cup (better for photos). I wish the flavor of the Taro was stronger. I did like the Pistachio better. But, I've had ones with a stronger pistachio flavor. They were creamy but not as rich in flavor as others I have tried. The scoops could have been bigger for the price. Ice cream and service were great :) We usually go to the Fosselmans location in Alhambra but it's always crowded and is cash only. This location offers the same yummy ice cream + more options and takes credit card. Also did not have an issue with getting parking or waiting in a crazy line. The nearby community space with the fire pit, chairs, and kid's mini golf was a great spot for us to enjoy our ice cream. read more

Definitely way earlier than their regular store hours and don't tell me something happened to their ice cream machine because there was a man standing out side the store eating an ice cream cone like he's the one who just closed it. Been on the hunt for the best soft serve around town. Ordered a small swirl but they only had chocolate available. The small cost almost $5 after tax. Flavor was great. Often soft serve is simply sweet. This was chocolatey and not too sweet. It was thick in texture. Loved everything about that. The volume served is not visually impressive. I don't know why they serve it so squat and low. It would LOOK better piled up tall like soft serve normally is served. For years I had gone to Fosselman's in Alhambra, and to see that they had opened a shop in Glendora was the best of news because not only is is close to me, but: 1. Delicious ice cream 2. You can try samples galore! 3. So many flavors. Classic, unique, you name it! 4. Parking is a breeze and free. Plenty of lots to park in. 5. Friendly service. 6. Clean establishment. I went when it was near closing and I watched as they cleaned the tables, chairs, the counter, the shelves holding the taffy (lifting each taffy bag, and wiping the shelf down). 7. I would give this place 4 stars for the lychee flavor alone honestly. It's not a sorbet - it's milk based and so delicious. Not too sweet, not too strong, but just the right amount of juicy lychee flavor with small pieces of lychee studded throughout. The texture is delightful; ultra smooth and creamy and overall a very high quality ice cream. I get this flavor for one of the scoops every time I come, and try a new one as the second scoop to accompany it. This time, I got the mango sorbet, which was fine. Not amazing, as it was lacking a bit in mango flavor and not the smoothest sorbet I've had but not terrible. Another favorite that I've had is the lavender and honey flavor, which is floral and sweet without being overpowering and accompanies the lychee beautifully. The scoop sizes are generous. This little shop has a few truly good options, it just depends on what you get. I look forward to coming here every once in a while to enjoy a refreshing evening treat. Seems like the new fad is craft icecream with stores like Afters opening in various cities in socal. I guess it's the right time for Fossellman to open in the heart of downtown Glendora. The Alhambra location, as everyone know, is highly renowned with over 2000 four star Yelp reviews. The question is will people flock over to Glendora like they do for Donut man to try this historical icecream parlor? Location: Located in the middle of downtown Glendora; situated at the corner. You can see the icecream store from their large windows from the outside. Parking: There is ample street parking, side streets parking, free public parking lot at the back and across the street. Building: Since it's new, everything looks bright and clean. The icecream can be easily seen through the glass and their products are organized in a neat manner. Napkins are located by the cashier so be sure to use them conservatively. Icecream: They will graciously allow you to sample as many flavors. The icecream is surprisingly fluffy, airy and creamy. The taste is of the upmost quality. I recommend the Nuttela which is actually not that sweet. I also recommend the Lavender and Honey which has a flowery sweet taste. Lastly, my other favorite is the matcha green tea for those who enjoy Asian flavors. Customer service: Its ok but I was not impressed. I asked for a double scoop and the lady said she can split the scoop for me into 2 cups. When it was time to pay they charged me for 2 singles which I objected. The owner seemed like he didn't care, didn't smile and told the cashier to still charge me. I then asked to return it and give me my double. The cost of a double is basically half of 2 singles. I wonder why others get the "nice " treatment while my family didn't get the same. Credit Card: There is no sign telling you they will charge you a "processing fee" for using your credit card. Came here for dessert with a group of friends. We've been to a lot of dessert spots, mainly ice cream, over the last 15 years of celebrating birthdays and holidays together, but this one was pretty mediocre. I got a scoop of toffee ice cream and it was weirdly mild in flavor. It wasn't bad, but when you compare it to places like McConnell's or Salt & Straw or Handel's, it pales in comparison. The sign also indicated that they serve fosselman's ice cream. so that makes me wonder how this is different than just going to fosselman's? I rarely see that on an ice cream parlor menu. Guess what? The Ice Cream Shop has banana splits! I called my dad and asked if he wanted one.
