First time visitor. This ice cream shop is located in old town Glendora which has a cool, old-time, family feel vibe. The shop itself was very clean, well-organized and fully stocked. The ice cream related choices were plentiful as there are numerous flavors available for cones, ice cream cups, ice cream nachos, banana splits etc.. The young lady working behind the counter was very pleasant and friendly and when asked if this shop was associated with the Fossleman's Ice Shop in the city of Alhambra (there were numerous Fossleman's Pics hanging on the wall), the young g employee shared that this shop is owned by one of the grandson's of the Fossleman family. I ordered two scoops of ice cream in a cup. pineapple/ coconut and pistachio. I can honestly say that both flavors were DELICIOUS! Both flavors were rich and well-made and left me craving more.

Over-priced single scoop and double scoop in waffle cone.

This review is for a single scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone and a 2 scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone. The dining area is clean with a few tables for indoor dining. Our total was a whopping 18.60 for 2 people. I thought it was a bit over price. We are regular Fosselman's customer in Alhambra and it's much more reasonable at that location. Minus 3 stars. Our typical price is 12.50 at Fosselman's in Alhambra. I'm only a visitor in the Glendora area.. so, no, we won't be coming back.

I'm glad I don't have to travel to Fossilmann's in Alhambra when this is much closer to me! A must get is coconut pineapple! The creamy coconut base is rich and smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness that makes every bite feel indulgent. Good amount of pineapples pieces in there. My next flavor is mint chocolate chip. The mint chip is grinded well so there's no chunk in them which I like.

So many good flavors but settled for the taro ice cream. Service was prompt. We also got the chocolate covered frozen banana ice cream. Gray way to add to our evening dinner. Clean store inside, with tables inside as well.

Rocky road and espresso

The ice cream here is incredibly creamy and delicious! I tried the Rocky Road and Espresso flavors, and they were amazing. This place has definitely become one of my favorite spots for ice cream!

Great ice cream unique flavors. Cons you can try any flavor before you buy. They were also out of all waffle cones. I tried the Ube flavor it was good in a cake cone. They also do banana splits, floats and shakes/malts.

There are not many choices in downtown Glendora but as we walked up and down the downtown area after dinner, we ended up choosing The Ice Cream Shop. It's a cute little shop. Not much seating inside but lots of outside seating. We usually go for ice cream after dinner and I really wanted to love it. I liked that they had different flavors like Ube, Taro, Honey Lavender... I requested 2 flavors. I wish she could have put both scoops next to each other in the cup (better for photos). I wish the flavor of the Taro was stronger. I did like the Pistachio better. But, I've had ones with a stronger pistachio flavor. They were creamy but not as rich in flavor as others I have tried. The scoops could have been bigger for the price. I felt like the girls serving could have been friendlier. Yes, it was a little busy but customer service goes a long way with having a great experience.

Second the owner Ice cream crafter is award winning and the friendliest guy explaining alll his custom yummy creations. Third there is also a craft beer counter serving craft beer and wine along with beer and wine floats using the homemade ice cream. What is better than two of the best things in the world beer on tap and homemade crafted gourmet ice cream!!!! I scream for both! This ice cream artist has taken it up on flavors and has come up with some super delish unique items some that include a little beer in them to make them extra creamy and some non dairy made with coconut milk. You can taste your heart out as every flavor is temping and made of fresh natural ingredients. Definitely one of the best ice cream shops that i have come across and probably I think the best in SoCal. This place makes Handels look like baskin Robbin's and makes others like after and salt & straw look commercialized. Because this guy is crafting the ice cream that he knows the people want and takes ultra pride in his product. A must visit place - located at the end of old town Covina that is also worth a visit to dine at and walk around. I'm coming back for a beer float on their patio and to pick up one of their cool tshirts. They also sell by the pint. This is ice cream heaven at its best!

The restaurant is clean, modern, and has vibrant colors when you enter. The customer service was friendly, professional, and efficient. I ordered the Pumpkin Pie Crepe and the Turkish Coffee to go along with it. There was a little bit of a wait, but I didn't mind since there was only one person working. The Pumpkin Pie Crepe tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie, as expected. However, it wasn't too sweet and had more of a real pumpkin flavor that pair very nicely with the pecans and caramel drizzle. The crepe was cooked perfectly and held together nicely with all the other ingredients. The portion size was large and could be shared between two people. It didn't exactly blow me away, but I appreciated the fact that it tasted like I was eating a pumpkin pie without the over sweetness. The Turkish Coffee was okay in my opinion, but it could be because I'm not used to it. Creamer and sugar packets are provided. The coffee alone was very bold and almost had a burnt taste, but not in a bad way; bringing out the flavor of the coffee beans more. I think if flavors of the coffee were offered then it would definitely be a favorite. My partner tried the frozen yogurt and she enjoyed it very much. The serving size was large as well, enough for two-three people. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. To my knowledge, no military nor first responder discount offered.

The gelato is velvety & soft with prominent flavor profiles. It's tasty. (Important Note: Bring cash. Card has a small additional fee, about 3.5% extra. Also, there's no flavor sampling.) I arrived at Il Gusto (West Covina) on Monday (around 7:29pm). This location shares the busy parking plaza by 85 Degrees (West Covina). Fortunately, it was easy to find parking this evening. Staff is professional and helpful. Staff worked quickly, and staff answered all my questions. Line went very fast despite a group being ahead of me. As mentioned, I ordered the Medium Cup (2 Scoops - $8). I selected a milk chocolate scoop and a cookies-flavored scoop. Portion sizes are fair and adequate for its quality. The flavors are delicious. The milk chocolate scoop reminded me of rich, dark chocolate milk. Its consistency felt very velvety, and its strong chocolate flavor almost teetered towards chocolate brownie territory. The cookie-flavored scoop was very tasty as well. This scoop flowed smoothly, and I happily enjoyed the soft cookie chunks within. This had a milder taste, but it felt very satisfying. This gelato was not icy; rather, it had delightful flavors while flowing like chilled silk. Concerning ambiance, Il Gusto (West Covina) shows genuine effort. The location is very clean and well-ventilated (refreshingly chill). I also enjoyed the Elvis Presley music. However, the music was occasionally drowned out from the loud electronic buzzing/humming sounds from the kitchen's containers. Also, some portions of the walls and floors looked scuffed with black marks. Il Gusto (West Covina) is also fairly small. It has three reflective tables inside; customer-only restroom; and three nearby shaded tables outside. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Il Gusto (West Covina). Its prices are adequate, the gelato is a good quality, and the staff is hardworking & helpful. If nearby, I recommend. 4.6 out of 5
