Interior - 5 stars Nothing was missed and every detail was perfect. Exterior - 4 stars All glass and metal was perfect, however black plastic trim and/or part (i.e. mirror backs/arms, lower front air dam, rear bumper step and upper wheel wells) were not at the same cleaned/dressed level as the rest of the vehicle, and the truck bed had not been touched at all. My wife took her car in to get an interior and exterior detail along with them applying sealant after filling our rock chips. When we got the car back, they did nothing to the interior besides wipe a little gloss on the steering wheel and the exterior was dirty and rushed. Not only that, they were supposed to use the touch up paint we gave them to fill the rock chips and they ended up filling putting touch up paint on the bugs that they didn't wash off in the first place. When we took a closer look at our car at home, we had bugs sealed into our car and there were many small scratches all over the car. At first, the owner seemed really nice, professional, and embarrassed of the poor job they did. Attempting to take the high road, we settled for a $225 refund (total was $325) because he offered to do the job correctly and not rushed on a different scheduled day. When we told him about the scratches, we asked for a full refund. He started changing his tone, lying about first offering us a full refund for a poor job, and told us the scratches were already there. The car is brand new and we baby that thing like no other, to the point where we knew how many rock chips needed to be filled when we brought it in. I would avoid this place at all costs. It was really easy for him to act professional until he had to stand up for his work (or lack thereof). He is just a coward and a crook that doesn't believe in upholding the integrity of his business. We eventually took our car to Lithia Toyota, where they told us it was the worst detailing job they've ever seen and that it didn't even feel like they applied any sealant to begin. If you don't like being scammed and lied to, don't take your car to Mike's Hands on Detailing. This is my first time ever writing a review on a place so I just want to inform whoever reads this NOT to take their car here. read more

I'm new to the area. Had my 1997 BMW black Z3 trailered up here from Santa Barbara. By the time the poor thing got here it was in the worst shape it's ever been in, loaded with dead bugs and tree sap. Ask my neighbors on Next Door and they all recommended Hands on Detailing. My car has never been handled by anyone but myself and two guys who would come to my house. But I have to say after all these years my car now looks like new. This is the best detail job I've ever gotten on a vehicle! Even when I bought my car, it didn't look as good as it does now after taking it to Hands On Detail! It feels and looks like a new car! I know Mike & Denise personally, so I knew for one I would get trusted, honest service, as well as the wonderful reviews they have gotten for their shop. Mike didn't miss a beat! He got every nook and cranny, inside and out. My husband is rather picky, especially when it comes to our vehicles, so when I took pictures of the finished product, he was amazed and impressed! Michael and his family did a great job. My only issue was that an air freshener was used (usually the car washes ask first and I always tell them no air freshener). I would go again if I knew that no air fresheners would be used (and would love to be asked first), so many of us now are sensitive to synthetic smells that cause allergic reactions. read more

Literally felt like I was driving someone else's car when I picked it up this afternoon. We've brought our cars (large SUVs and trucks) to Mike and team several times but never have I appreciated the work they do as much as I do now that I tote around two kids and two harry labs. They are very friendly, always accommodating, and better yet, they get the job done. When we pick our cars up, they look better than they ever did picking them up from the dealer when we bought them. I should have written this sooner! Mike is great! Took my "new to me" car in to him and he truly made it look like new! Laboriously tackled the white dog hair all over the black interior. Not a hair was left and I know that took some doing!!! Every nook and cranny was clean when I picked the car up. Terrific job!!! As a bonus, a couple of weeks later I had purchased by mail some seat covers. Tried to install them myself.... it wasn't going well. I called Mike, he was happy to help!!!! A great guy with very reasonable prices. I will be back this Spring for him to do an inside/outside detail job. read more
