This will be my first time coming out to this location, which is a little harder to get to than the Linebaugh location, but with a little luck and patience in the S. Dale Mabry traffic, I managed to get in. The outside of the building is quite unique and welcoming amongst the other surrounding buildings, triangle-shaped with a few cute cafe chairs outside. I got my order to go, but I did marvel at the adorable inside of the shop with more cafe tables that look homey and inviting. The lady behind the counter was nice and greeted with upon arrival, and was patient as I perused my selection. My favorite cupcake of theirs, the mocha cupcake, wasn't there, so I had to stop and REALLY look at the other choices in front of me, WHICH WERE A LOT and it was hard to really zero in on what I'd like. I noticed the poundcakes behind the case and immediately thought, maybe I'd try those instead of the cupcakes. They're a decent size, and I've never had them before, and the flavors intrigued me. I selected a coconut rum poundcake since it is coconut cake versus plain butter like the others and was feeling like coconut. I added the packaged cookies behind the case as well. I remember how great the cookies were, and though the selection wasn't what I remembered from the last shop, I still found what I'd like. I was not disappointed with either selection. The cookies were mildly sweet and I could really appreciate the almond flavoring in it, soft, buttery, and kinda crisp around the edges but dense in the middle like a very delicious shortbread. The sprinkles added a nice whimsical touch. And man, am I glad I went with something different. The poundcake was quite heavy and big, and for a moment, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to finish it (imagine that!), but NO. The heaviness is from the rum it's soaked in. The cake itself is very soft and buttery, with a delicate taste of rum and coconut. I enjoyed the coconut icing with flaked coconuts on top for an additional touch of sweetness. They do allow my Muffin there in her carriage, so I would definitely have to come back for a cupcake and latte (or of course, the poundcake).

While I'm sure they do walk-ins, it's a guarantee you'll get what you want ordering online). My selection: Salted Caramel White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie: White chocolate macadamia is MY FAVORITE cookie, so this was a must try for me! While I'm more than happy with a plain white chocolate macadamia, I was very intrigued that this one was on another level with the salted caramel and white chocolate drizzle on top. I heated it for 45 seconds in the microwave and had this for breakfast. Wow! White Macadamia like I've never had before! The brown sugar base with the warm toasty taste of macadamia and sweet white chocolate is exactly what I want in this cookie, but the salty sweetness of caramel and added white chocolate drizzle really brings this over the top! The best white macadamia cookie I've ever had! Soft, chewy, and went great with my morning coffee! Strawberry Crunch Cupcake: The owner said this is a best-seller, and I can see why! The frosting is like strawberry velvet, and not too sweet at all like strawberry icing can be sometimes. The cake itself is more of a strawberry marble cake, and makes me think of strawberry shortcake. It's topped with streusel and muddled strawberries, then crowned with a fresh strawberry. A true strawberry lover's dream! Strawberry Cheesecake: I was super torn between getting this and the guava (which will be my next conquest). I noticed they also had red velvet cookie butter, which REALLY caught my eye, but I was in a mood for more simplicity, and strawberry cheesecake is a classic. This was given to me as the plain cheesecake with the separate strawberry compote to pour on top. Smart, to give you a good idea of what the cheesecake itself is like without the topping, and my boyfriend initially wanted his plain, but I digress. It looks and smells delicious, so I knew I was in for a treat! The cheesecake was incredibly creamy and fresh with a slight twang, a mark for authentic New York Style cheesecake and is as good as you can get to going to New York for a slice (disclaimer: never been to New York to really verify, but it's coming!). She slices the cake in half lengthwise and spreads real custard over the bottom half and puts the top on! It's like a donut custard sandwich!! The glazed donut was good too. Fresh fried, not greasy. I asked what flavor the black and white cupcakes were. She said a marble cake with custard - which sounded interesting. Like real moist or something. I was shocked when I cut it in half! Think about the process she did to make these! You aren't finding cupcakes like these at a grocery store! They tasted even better than they looked!
