I've had work done by some plumbers in the past and the last thing they were was professional. These guys were a breath of fresh air. They were polite, respectful and presented themselves well. They do it all. I got a repair done by then but they also do replacements. They even do service work in case you want to get your boiler tuned up. It's nice to be in hands with a company that can do it all. Just means they are knowledgeable on all aspects of their work. Two words for them. Fast availability. They made me a priority and got me in a lot sooner than I thought they would be able to. There's no way I could've gone a whole weekend without hot water. They had great communication with me. Always kept me in the loop, always called me or left a voicemail and even texted me a few times. I appreciated this cause you can tell they really value people and their time. Prices are great. (I also called the company that originally installed the boiler, however; they did not return my phone calls nor did they appear to want my business.) At 911 Boiler, I spoke to John - who's an expert in hydronic and radiant heating. I was rather nervous about purchasing a house with such an elaborate heating system. Yet, John was extremely helpful and courteous and assisted me in learning that this type of boiler system can be very efficient. After several conversations, I scheduled an appointment for John to do an inspection of the system. He worked with my tight schedule and was able to schedule this appointment to coincide with the general home inspection. How's that for going above and beyond? John was professional and thorough. I was overwhelmed by how knowledgeable John proved to be. I ended up purchasing the house and have continued to contact them with questions. Both John and another 911 Boiler employee named Tommy have answered countless questions regarding the radiant heating and boiler repairs. I have already scheduled an annual "tune up" with them and was able to request John be the technician. Over the past 15 months I have enlisted the work of multiple contractors and service providers. I also thought he would complete the job in 1 day. Wrong. Day 1, he "installed" 1 unit after arriving at about 9am and then at 11 or 12 said he had another job to go to and left. Uh, what could I say. I wanted the job done. I had to take another day off of work the next day. After "installing" the second unit he then came down at noon and said he was done and had to leave for a "meeting" He was also leaving us to finish going up into the attic and attaching a 4 inch vent hose from each unit to the holes in the roof. He said it would be so easy. I though ok, I'll give it a try. Wrong again. I should have said STOP and finish the job, but I thought I could do as he suggested. Before leaving he upped his price too. The task was extremely difficult with the limited space to attach the hose and bend it upward to the roof which is probably why he didn't want to do it. I never dreamed I would end up doing what I did when employing an electrician. I did feel like a fool and was obviously being taken advantage of. I guess being female and over 50 put a target on my back. Well, my only satisfaction will be if you heed my warning about using Roger (Home Owner's Electric). Consumer beware. The only thing that remained was installing the bath vent fan which I needed to get a slimmer-fit model. I even generously offered to pay him for the days work ($350 out of $500), which he accepted. We agreed on him coming Friday 8/14 to finish. However that morning, he DID NOT RESPOND to any of my calls or text messages. I did not get a response until the next day (8/15) during which he did not apologize and did not set another day/time in which he would come over. Moreover, one of the light switches he installed kept flickering incessantly, and needs to be fixed. Because there have been so many challenges in getting ahold of this guy, I am giving him 1 star. I dont understand how someone who regularly ghosts customers has 5-star reviews.
