Oh boy- kind respectful service men But potentially really not a good situation putting home and block at risk ... The men whom came over were kind, respectful. But- we had continued issue of GAS LEAKING!! We were replacing a 4 yr old water heater leaking CO the first time. Atlas twice came to fix the new leaking water heater but unfortunately continued to leak gas! Or installed defective model potentially endangering lives. They addressed immediately after i smelled gas in the next morning . . PG&E was on 2nd plumber's heels after he finished yet pg&e still found gas and pilot issues- it was shut down again! Then the panel was replaced.. Two days later i smell strong gas as i am leaving and assume perhaps its just new heater smell.. open windows , inform home owner- turn off washer. Then Yet again two days after that i smell gas again PG&E shows up immediately and shuts down AGAIN! I am grateful the service people were kind but i don't believe these are licensed plumbers but perhaps trained personnel? The person answering phones was helpful first call then decided to hang up abruptly! Ermm lady is this reckless endangerment?? They use a DIY w spray to assess bubble gas leaks but seemed the leaks did continue... on the 3rd pg&e visit it was the connection lines on top of water heater.. I did ask pg&e on all three visits- could this be a systemic or issue w line running to property - each said no. They checked all units in house. The last one said it could be defective heater. But deadly risk to me , my pets all neighbors with attached houses isn't something I can excuse .. read more

I had a service done from Atlas and anticipated a certain time frame that it would be working. It stopped working so I called and the gentleman said he would send someone straight away. When the technician arrived he wasn't sure of the problem and said he needed to call manufacturer. He told me he would text me when he knew something. When I went back he said he had been on hold and he did something to improve the problem and it would be $375. What?! I never approved that work. I thought he was going to tell me what is wrong. I never received an estimate or opportunity to approve work. He left, I called the office, the woman (Audra) was yelling at me calling me a liar, he always gives quotes and I should pay for his time on the phone. I've never dealt with a more unprofessional service person in my life! I said this is easy to solve, show me a copy of the estimate which of course she couldn't do! We had a pipe burst unexpectedly in our front yard this morning and needed an immediate response to help fix this. Using Yelp's AI, we were plugged into 5 different service options and Atlas responded in minutes. After a couple of messages, they were able to make it out to our place within the half hour. Nelson was able assess the problem, give a great price, and immediately start working on it. It looked like a tougher job than most since the previous owners of our house had stucco'd over the fixture. Within a couple hours the job was done and water was flowing back through our house. He cut a clean opening to install a whole house water auto shutoff valve now required by insurance companies. Despite having a device that's lesser known (by YoSmart) Kevin had no issues installing it. He cleaned up afterward and was considerate with the dust. And because I prepared ahead of time and got the devices set up and figured out where all the parts would go, he gave me a little discount since the prep helped cut his time down. Nelson from Atlas Plumbing and Rooter was able to successfully snake and unclog our kitchen sink after another plumber couldn't unclog it using 3 different sized snakes. Nelson then replaced 1-1/2 inches of the sink pipe that was broken and leaking after the other plumber had taken it off to snake the kitchen sink pipe. He was honest and upfront about our options and was willing to work with us to try out the cheaper option first, and wouldn't charge us if we needed to switch to the more expensive option, whereas another plumber we called wanted to do the most expensive option first without trying the cheaper option (this option was also less damaging to our house, which is why we wanted to do it first). Nelson deserves more than 5 stars for his expertise and willingness to do a great job! We'll definitely request Nelson for our future plumbing and rooter work. read more

I posted on Yelp my requirement for repairing a toilet that did not flush (with two photos showing the problem) and was immediately approached by many plumbing companies. I selected Atlas Plumbing and it seemed to be a good choice as they proved to be serious and professional. They sent a plumber the next day; he knew what to do and had the replacement pieces with him. We agreed on the price including the replacement pieces, however during the process he advised to replace a $20 piece that was damaged. I agreed for this supplement although my understanding was that all these broken pieces have to be replaced in the agreed price. Anyway... the guy was fast and efficient and the work was done. This review is a couple of months overdue: we discovered that we needed to have a couple of washing machine faucets replaced 2 days before our new washing machine was to be installed. A neighbor referred us to Atlas. I explained what we needed to a service rep by the name of Jason who was very helpful & professional. He set up an appointment for someone to come the next day sometime between 11:00-12:00. The next morning he called again to confirm that Nelson the plumber could come earlier if that would work for us. I said"yes" & Nelson & his apprentice arrived at 10:00. Since they didn't have the exact faucets that were needed they drove to the nearest plumbing supply place to pick up the correct ones & were back about 10:20. By 11:15 our job was completed for a very fair price. read more

I noticed markings on sidewalk a week before to mark where not to dig since underneath had PG&E pipes. Smart planning. Night before, put up signs for no parking. Day of project, two trucks show up to park at those spots. 1st day, figure out where to open up flooring and sidewalk. 4 workers. Heard the saw that tripped the smoke detectors. Dig. One worker was up to his chin inside. 5 feet deep? 2nd day, replace pipes. 3 workers? Like a jugsaw puzzle, with connectors. Cut to the right length. Prepare for inspector the next day. 3rd day, minor adjustment and more testing for leakage. Inspector came and went. Passed. Filling the holes with the sand they dug up. There's mounds of sand going back to the ground. Truck with cement. 2 person job. Fill and level it. Very professional. Safety first. Beautiful work. Very responsible. Next day, clean up. Like magic. All done. Workers were terrific. Thank you Benny, Danny, and Jerrold for all your hard work! Didn't ask the 4th guys name. They were on time. Clean up afterwards. Very professional. Great guys! They replaced a broken garbage disposal switch for me, but they ordered a satin finish instead of a chrome finish; so, it doesn't match other fixtures. Had a malfunctioned garbage disposal thanks to glass falling down the drain. Posted project in Yelp and Atlas responded immediately. Unfortunately, they did not offer weekend service so I scheduled for first thing Monday morning between 8-10am. Recieved a call Monday morning from Atlas stating "something went wrong with my appointment" and they needed to offer me a new appointment for the 11am time slot. No problem as I appreciated the call. Tech arrived at 11am, I explained the issue, and he was in and out in less than 5 minutes. It took him longer to take my credit card payment than it did for him to fix my issue. He was friendly and professional and assured me my issue happens all the time and that it would not take long for him to fix it. All in all, a great experience, excellent customer service, and pricing is reasonable. This would be a 5 star review had they offered weekend service. read more
