Dan did an awesome job installing my new storm door with doggie door in it. I found it so refreshing that he works on weekends; so he was able to come out on Sunday with me calling late on a Friday and it took almost exactly how long he had initially quoted. I called him to come back out to caulk around the new door frame; but that was only because the old frame was wider and it left a rim mark around the outside; but now it looks great. We were going to paint over the edges since I just recently had the outside of the house freshly painted; but decided to wait on that since I definitely know I will be calling Dan for some additional house projects in the very near future. Sometimes it is the little extra things that leave such a good impression and Dan was so nice to remove the new stickers on the window of the new storm door for me and as an added surprise he purchased a handle for the inside of my side gate to close it and installed it for free; which was the icing on the cake. We were fortunate enough to find Dan three years ago when my 80-year-old mother needed help assembling her new bookcases. Since then, he has been an angel to our family, and my mother absolutely loves him. No task is too mundane for him when she calls him for help. He installed her new printer, resolved other computer issues, added a bar to her bed, fixed her breaker, dealt with ants, trimmed her cat's nails, helped make her bed, drove her to doctor appointments, and even goes shopping for her. He is courteous, kind, thoughtful, patient, considerate, generous and compassionate. My mother is not easy to please, and she does nothing but sing his praises. Awesome job!!! My two year old dead bolt locked me out of the house when we were out in the garage. After awhile of coaxing she couldn't undo the lock and got hysterical. I tried literally everything but I then had to call the fire department. Turns out all our windows were locked too, so that was a no go. After the police got to the house, they had to break in the garage entry door, which then broke my door frame and my trim was toast. This was a Saturday evening. I needed someone to fix it fast! After 50 unanswered calls to other handymen, Dan was the only one to respond and was out within two hours (on a Sunday) and had the door fixed super fast! I was really impressed. I called Dan on a Sunday...I was in a bind as I took on a job that I could not complete on my own and I was heading out of town the next day. Dan showed up within hours. Let me say that many other handymen I contacted before Dan claimed fast service...not one of the others could respond within 2 days (disclaimer: I am not implying that Dan would respond this fast on a weekend in every situation). I know this might mean something to some, maybe nothing to others but Dan was dressed well and was very polite and respectful. I was more than pleased with his work! Is Dan the cheapest? NO. I had a broken pocket cabinet door that was deemed "impossible to fix" by every friend and family member who looked at it for me. Dan came over and we had it fixed in 15 minutes-good as new and he didn't even charge me! I had also asked him to fix rotted wood on my garage door trim, which his Craigslist ad promoted him as being able to repair. After close inspection, Dan told me he was not going to be able to do the job.
