We didn't do any research on the clinic because we trusted our doctors referral When we called to schedule the appointment we were told Dr. Williams only sees men with zero sperm and that we would need to see Dr. Grimaldo. We agreed and booked the appointment. Upon arrival we completed some docs and we were taken to a room where the receptionist asked more questions and gave us lab referrals (which had the name spelled incorrectly). We told the receptionist the name was wrong and after several attempts, the receptionist still couldn't get the name correct. He told us to write it down and he'd change it later. After the receptionist left we waited for 45 minutes before we stepped out to ask if we had been forgotten about. Then the nurse finally came in. He asked for our previous labs, which we had already given to the receptionist. The nurse left for another 20 minutes trying to find them before coming back to our room. He asked a few questions and then performed a genital exam. Then he sent us to the lab for a work up with my husbands incorrect name on the slips. The lab lady said, if insurance doesn't pay we will be responsible for bill and recommended we get name fixed with receptionist. At check-out we asked the receptionist who it was that saw us. He said Dr Grimaldo. I said no it wasn't. The guy we saw wasn't the same as guy in photo in lobby. Then he said, oh then it must have been Tim, the new doctor. However, it wasn't Tim either because we could see Tims photo in lobby too. He apparently had no idea who came in and performed my husbands genital exam and neither do we. We felt violated and so confused. We basically drove 2 hours to see some nurse who for all we know doesn't really work there. He was not wearing any identification, his name is not on our paperwork and nobody knows who he is. To be honest the whole experience was very disturbing. Needless to say we won't go back. There's no way on earth we would trust these guys with our health and our fertility. **UPDATE Dr. Grimaldo called us and explained what happened and apologized for the mix-up. He also reassured us that the person we saw is a board certified practitioner who works for the clinic. He also gave us the results of our lab work and gave us information we were seeking to know on our visit. He also offered telemedicine for future so we don't have to drive so far. It was a nice gesture and we feel much better, however after our conversation I couldn't help but feel the Doctor was sort of patronizing me, saying he will have the nurse have his name written on back of uniform. To be honest, just because someone wears scrubs or a name badge doesn't make them credible. I was more disturbed that nobody knew who he was in the day of our visit. It's key to know who you are scheduling appointment with and on day of appointment that person sees you or the office tells you in advance that you will be seeing someone else. The office was so disorganized I felt concerned that anyone could have just walked in to play doctor. Anyhow, with that being said, it was our first visit and everyone and every office is entitled to an off day and we really appreciated the doctor calling us to clear things up.

If they know how long it takes for a patient, why not give appointments accordingly rather than just bulking it all up just to increase the intake. For example, a single appointment setting would give us a 10.30 am for fetal scan and than a doctor's appointment at 11 am. But than we would never see the technician till 11.30 making us late for the doctor's appointment. Same issue would persist art doctor's than because you will be late and wait there for God knows how long. Seriously problematic. E.g., for our last appointment (wife was 40+ weeks pregnant), making a pregnant women so far along just sit in the waiting area is not "good care" Not sure if this is because the staff is ordered to increase the intake and take as many patients in as "possible" or just carelessness or disregard to such obvious and easy fix issues.

At 50 minutes I asked the nurses station if I had been forgotten and was told with apologies that Dr. Hester would be in shortly. At 60 minutes and no doctor, I'd had enough. When they received the yearly referral from my GP, (the office had refused refills of my prescriptions pending a new referral from my GP), HMU called me to set up an appointment and told me that 3pm was available the next day which sounded great at the time. When I arrived the front desk while courteous, seemed to be having a party in the back and got quite loud. Maybe I'm old fashioned.

I also want to recognize the two staff members I regularly interacted w/ on the physical therapy side as I have always had a great experience with them. They were kind, helpful, welcoming, and made my visits much more comfortable. Unfortunately, only one of the two remains, but I truly appreciate the care & positive interactions I have had with both of them. That being said, Unfortunately, my experiences with the new doctor in the office have been the complete opposite. This is not based on one isolated appointment, it has happened repeatedly, in more ways than one as I have had multiple interactions with her. I have truly struggled with whether to write this review because I am genuinely concerned about how my review may be received or whether there could be backlash from speaking honestly. However, I feel that patients have the right to respectfully share their experiences, especially when the same concerns happen more than once. During my interactions with her, I have increasingly been left feeling uncomfortable and unheard. In particular, when I attempted to explain what I am personally experiencing or attempted to provide information of what I had previously been told about my care with my doctor before she joined the clinic, I felt that my concerns were not given meaningful consideration and that the communication was often more argumentative rather than collaborative, and I have left appointments questioning whether I was actually being heard as the patient. I understand that she is the doctor and has her own medical knowledge and opinions, but I also believe that a patient should be given the opportunity to speak, explain their symptoms, and share relevant information about their own care without feeling talked over or dismissed. There have also been moments where I felt that information was presented to me in a way that was misleading or inconsistent with what I had previously been told or of what was followed through with, which made it difficult for me to feel confident in the direction of my care. I was also uncomfortable with negative comments made about other individuals within the work place. Regardless of anyone's personal or professional differences, I as a patient should not have been placed in the middle of the workplace tensions. I am not questioning anyone's credentials or attempting to speak for anyone else's encounters. I am only sharing my personal firsthand experience because I believe that in healthcare the clear communication, listening, mutual respect, professionalism, and collaboration with the patient are all extremely important when someone is trusting a healthcare professional with their care. Unfortunately, I have left more than 1 appointment with this new provider feeling uneasy&with what I can only describe as an "ick" feeling that has stayed with me afterward. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken in the spirit in which it is intended&used constructively. My intent is not to create conflict, but to address clear concerns&to encourage better communication, attentiveness, professionalism, and patient-centered care moving forward. These are essential to ensuring patients feel heard, respected, and properly cared for. She'll go over every pro and con of every contraceptive to find what works best for you, and then load you up with samples to try them all out. Making appointments online is a breeze and that's always a huge plus with a busy schedule! They are always so accommodating seeing as how I have to plan a half day off of work to make the drive. Her bedside manner during a woman's most awkward yearly moment is perfect. She's quick, precise, and keeps your distracted with jokes and banter. I've sent several of my non-child having friends to her over the years, and they all agree she's the best. I hope she never retires because I have no idea what I'll do after 17 years. I made the mistake one time of going to someone else closer to home, and almost immediately regretted it. I'll happily drive 45 minutes from town for this as long as she's in practice.
