Incompetent and careless. They did work repairing our kitchen a few years ago after mold. What they…read moresaid would be a 2 week job turned into probably 5 months. Writing this now because I just saw an outlet underneath the sink that's not at all mounted to the wall and was reminded of how ridiculous this whole ordeal was. They'd come maybe 2 times a week, maybe less, sit in the driveway and wait for each other for a while, and they'd always forget what they were supposed to do. Then they'd say "ah ya we remember now, gotta go to Home Depot" and take another 1-2 hours. The pace of work was incredibly slow. When they were redoing our kitchen, we came home and saw that the main handyman had bought cabinets for the sink that opened straight into the fridge and stove, so you could barely open them. It was on a corner, so clearly a corner / lazy Susan cabinet was needed. Delayed the job by however many days. They cracked the sink they put in, and there's carvings in the countertops from where they messed up with sloppy cutting. When they installed the AC window units, they stained the window panes, sink, and the outside of the house with the insulation foam and didn't attempt to clean it until I asked. They didn't get much up; still stained. They didn't put calking around the countertop they put in behind the sink. There were a bunch of other times where similar things happened that I had to ask them to redo it or do a part of the job they'd missed.

When he texted me, I let him know that I'd chosen someone else. He apologized for being slow to respond and being abrupt in his texts (they were testy) and asked if we could start over. I told him it wasn't an issue, but I'd truly booked someone else. Then he started complaining that he was getting attacked by AI and it was a crime, and it was hard to know if potential clients were real. I said I was real, and he must not have have put my voicemail and my email together. Then he asked me again for my name and city so that he could put it together. At this point, it was getting ridiculous, but I complied, I was trying to help the guy out, and get off his list. Then he starts cussing at me. I blocked him. What a jerk. I'm telling you, I was never anything but kind and helpful to him, the only thing I did "wrong" was ask him for a custom quote (which he never gave me, because he clearly still had no idea what work I'd asked him to do - he only gave me his 3 hour minimum shtick) and later had the courtesy to tell him that I'd hired someone else. Instead of blowing him off. I was nice, and he is throwing four letter words at me. I would find someone else who is more trustworthy, reliable, knows the difference between a computer and a real person, and knows how to treat potential clients. How will he treat you inside your own home??

Mistakes CAN happen, that's why insurance exists... why should someone trust a person who merely says "We do this every day and nothing is a problem" but can't provide the dollar amount that their insurance policy covers? Do not recommend under any circumstances especially if you're seeking installation of high-value works.
