I requested an antique hutch to be restored. I didn't love that they initially tried to charge me…read morejust to come and evaluate the scope of work for the piece, especially when I knew the pricing was probably going to be costly (and it was). Thankfully they waived the fee. I trusted that they would do a good job based on their portfolio. They were accurate in their timeline for the completion of the project and the resulting hutch looks fantastic, I have no complaints there. The main reason I am giving this business two stars is because their communication leaves A LOT to be desired. I asked for progress photos as they were working on the piece in their shop. They never sent pictures until I had to follow up and ask for them. They knew ahead of time that they were going to need to deliver my piece urgently because they were going to need all the space in their shop for their next project. Yet, they did not communicate this with me until the very last minute, what were they going to do with my piece if I was unavailable for delivery when they needed it gone? That seemed like poor planning to me. Upon the initial quoting of the piece, I specifically asked them to not only have the main mirror replaced by their third party, but also have the antique locks repaired. I provided them with a key that fit the lock to aid in this process. They returned my piece to me with not only the lock issue not addressed, but also with one of the cabinet doors not fully functional (which is not how it was when they took the piece at the beginning). I had to report this issue after they had already left. It was only then that he recommended I contact his third party locksmith to resolve the issue. His recommended locksmith (Sav-Mor Lock & Key) has been completely unresponsive, and I can't find other locksmiths who specialize in antique locks. I then asked Haer where is the key that I gave them when they picked up the hutch, and it was only THEN that they told me they tried to test the key in one of the locks and a piece of the key broke off and is STILL currently stuck in one of the locks (they also didn't specify which lock they tested either). I am extremely disappointed and frustrated because I clearly specified all my needs before they accepted the project, and now I received an incomplete service. They have also stopped responding to my communications completely, which I find outrageous and irresponsible. I also got the impression that working on my project was a chore for them, as if I didn't pay top dollar for them to give me their best work. Again, in terms of their actual craftsmanship, Jose (who I believe did most of the work) did a great job. However, communication is a huge factor in determining who I award my business to, and based on my experience I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting them with another one of my projects.

Project 1: replace the wood front of a one-car garage door. Perfect job and Sergey cleaned up so…read morewell I couldn't tell he was ever there. Project 2: not a door installation. Removed carpet and installed vinyl flooring in a bedroom. Also painted throughout including the door and the hallway bathroom door. Minor misunderstanding about where to hang the curtain rod, but it was quickly resolved. End result was a perfect, quality job. Project 3: two outside utility doors with custom sizes and no vendor to provide a louvered, fiberglass door for the water heater. OC Home Fix made a lot of calls, as did I. John finally found the winning door manufacturer. And OC Home Fix convinced me to let them re-frame one of the doors to a standard 24" wide so I'd never have that problem again. They honored their original price (we went from installing a door slab to re-framing to hang a pre-hung door). The final job was again, perfect! We agreed that after my exterior paint job is complete (different vendor), OC Home Fix will come back to custom fit the door trims for Project 3. It will be a separate cost, but all costs have been reasonable for all projects so far. I highly recommend OC Home Fix. They are honest, reliable, and show pride of ownership in their work.

We had Abel and his team mount a 75" TV in our living room yesterday, and the combination of quality service, efficiency, professionalism and courtesy was off the charts. The guys showed up on time, came with a library of tools to ensure a job well-done and quickly, and were extremely considerate of how we wanted the unit positioned. Requested TV mounting for a 75" + soundbar and 55". These guys were the only ones to respond with a quote out of 5 businesses I requested from (apparently 75" TVs carry a lot of liability). They were available the next morning, arrived promptly, and were professional and courteous. Evgenii and his uncle helped us with a window waterproofing project that involved removing old caulking, replacing deteriorated trim boards, resealing the window areas, and applying new exterior-grade sealant. After the job was completed, I had a concern about the color of the sealant used. I reached out to Evgenii, and he responded quickly, worked through the issue with me, and came back after the sealant had cured to complete the necessary paint touch-up. Everything now looks great, is properly sealed, and we're feeling much better heading into the rainy season later this year. If you're debating whether to hire them, I would absolutely recommend giving them a call. Good communication, fair pricing, quality workmanship, and most importantly, they follow through when something needs additional attention.

The completed cabinet door repair is solid, clean, and professional. He communicated clearly, diagnosed the problem correctly, and handled the pantry cabinet repair without pushing an unnecessary replacement at a good value. Removed carpet and installed vinyl flooring in a bedroom. Also painted throughout including the door and the hallway bathroom door. Minor misunderstanding about where to hang the curtain rod, but it was quickly resolved. End result was a perfect, quality job. Project 3: two outside utility doors with custom sizes and no vendor to provide a louvered, fiberglass door for the water heater. OC Home Fix made a lot of calls, as did I. John finally found the winning door manufacturer. And OC Home Fix convinced me to let them re-frame one of the doors to a standard 24" wide so I'd never have that problem again. They honored their original price (we went from installing a door slab to re-framing to hang a pre-hung door). The final job was again, perfect! We agreed that after my exterior paint job is complete (different vendor), OC Home Fix will come back to custom fit the door trims for Project 3. It will be a separate cost, but all costs have been reasonable for all projects so far. I highly recommend OC Home Fix. They are honest, reliable, and show pride of ownership in their work.
