Even though you order at the register and the wait staff delivers to your table, the service is outstanding (even to your doggies!). Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful and attentive. The garden atmosphere is lovely. You dine under a trellis of fairy lights and bougainvillea. And on certain evenings and lunch times, they have wonderful musicians provide soft background music. They also have an interior space which is nice as well (and air conditioned), but the real charm is the garden, where my maltipoo, Bella, is always spoiled (she especially loves the fries). Parking can be challenging, so, I recommend going just before or just after the breakfast, lunch or dinner rush. I live in the neighborhood, but I have friends who drive from DTLA, Hollywood , West L.A. and even farther away to meet me there just for coffee (try the Vanilla Latte - yum), a lavender lemonade or a glass of wine and a plate of chicken wings (cooled in different styles). Their prices are high. Head to the Valley's Japanese grocery store like Mitsuwa in Northridge for sushi or a Korean grocery store like Greenland Market in Van Nuys for prepared food made the same day at lower prices.
