Check this chicken place out. Tried this place for the first time and it did not disappoint. Opted for a late lunch as I was hungry and in need of grocery store run. Easily ordered our combo meals and they were ready for pickup within 5 minutes of arrival. On this occasion, ordered two Combo 1 which included regular size chicken Sando, Waffle Fries and Beverage. Since I was picking up, I requested my slaw, sauce and pickles on the side. I prefer that so my bread doesn't get soggy in the transport. I thought the chicken sandwich was good. My breast was a good size and was flavorful. I got the medium heat which packed a slight punch. The slaw was crispy but wanted more pickles. So order the extra pickles if you want more than two pickles. Sauce was flavorful. Waffle fries decent but would want them crispier. All in all, food was good. Restaurant itself was clean. There is small free parking lot for patrons. The worker was friendly and kept me apprised of his establishment. read more

My first eating spot on my first trip to Chicago. The restaurant was incredible to say the least! It was wonderful to meet Imad Ahmed the owner/operator. One of the nicest men I have met!! We visited Hangry Joe's on Monday for lunch. There were two other customers but they were both waiting for to-go orders. We ordered the chicken salad, 18 pieces of chicken wings and a kid's meal. The salad was pretty good without sauce. The chicken pieces in the salad were crispy. For the 18-piece, we got the medium hot sauce and soy garlic sauce. We were surprised how big the wings were! They were almost double the size of the wings we got from Epic Wings in California. So 18-piece were a little too much for the two of us. Soy garlic sauce was tasty but the chicken also got a little soggy from the sauce. I don't mind it. The medium hot sauce was pretty spicy. And the spicy flavor was enhanced by how hot (temperature wise) the wings were. You definitely want to order a drink with these spicy wings. read more

We ordered for pickup from here. Husband wanted wings with Buffalo sauce, but they came naked with some kind of aioli on the side, def not Buffalo. I got buy one get one free 2-piece fried chicken. All the chicken was pretty most and fried well, even though the wings weren't sauced. Also got a side of fries, the side was huge and tasted aight. I also wanted a bubble tea, so I ordered a mango peach bubble tea w tapioca, it was so super intensely sweet that I couldn't take more than 2 sips before I had to throw it in the bin, sad considering it was $10. This is a great korean-style alternative to Wingstop! Their mild wings still had a bit of a kick. The wings vary in size, some of the drumsticks are massive. The spicy smoke BBQ wings were a delicious Korean style bbq (not American style) and were my favorite of the two. The mild dry rub was also good. The Cole slaw was tasty, it's all cabbage with a mildly tart vinaigrette. There was plenty of seating inside. I got some extra trays so it was easier to eat. The hangry joes sauce was good and went well with the waffle fries, it was like a spicy mayo. I was a little confused by the online ordering website, when you select a time to order it will be in military time in 10-minute intervals. Went on opening day and had a solid meal. Potions are massive. Clean cool atmosphere with friendly fast service. I had the loaded Mac and Cheese which was my favorite and an original chicken Sando. Both I got medium not knowing what to expect. I will go up one heat level next visit. read more

I've been here a few times now so had to review. The chicken Sando and the chicken wrap are both great. I really like the wrap. It almost has a Vietnamese banh mi style... sweet pickle and with hot spice it's great! I tend to go for mild in terms of hot sauce but tried the medium today and it was better. Little extra kick is necessary! New places are starting to open up on North Avenue in Wicker Park and I like it! Let's keep it going. Support your local eateries. They do bubble tea here as well and I had the taro. It was good but I want to try the coffee boba next. Staff is nice and the place is clean. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Their customer service is awful! The restaurant refused to remake our order after our original driver didn't pick up the order so they just sent the old order, which had been sitting for over an hour. By the time we got it, it was ice cold, stale and nasty! read more

I thought from the way they advertised the hottest level, that the second level ("hot") would have a decent amount of heat. It was at best "medium" at any other restaurant serving spicy chicken. Tried the chicken wings and mac. The mac was bland and didn't have any cheese or flavor on it. They tasted like buttered noodles. The wings were too soggy and the sauces were too oily. We ordered hot, lemon,buffalo chicken. I ordered chicken from here for delivery and paid 42 dollars for chicken tenders that resembled leather. the chicken was so dry and hard, (not crispy, very hard and chewy), and the flavor just was not good. It might be better if you go in store, but I will not be coming here again and do not recommend. read more

this place was RIDICULOUSLY GOOD!!! we were having a rough night and this place made us feel so much better. walking in i was instantly impressed with the restaurant atmosphere--the place was spotless and clean, and had very cool graphics on the wall that made the place more fun. staff was very friendly and also let us know what the wait time would since it is a cook-to-order restaurant. the wait time was accurate which was appreciated for sure! i ordered the #3 combo (korean nuggets) and a matcha tea, and my boyfriend ordered the #1 (chicken sandwich) and mac n cheese. the chicken nuggets was insanely crispy and stayed that way!!! the fries were also amazing and were especially good with the sauce included with the combos. we stayed for like 45 minutes and none of the food got soggy! :D the sandwich was also amazing, had good heat to it, and the toppings added lots of flavor and texture that made it even better! good slaw and pickles on it. the mac and cheese was pretty tasty. and the matcha drink was very refreshing alongside the chicken and the boba added a nice touch. overall i'd rate this place a solid 11/10, so so soooo good. i would drive an hour to wicker park just to get more food from here, it's honestly so worth it. i can't wait to come back here when i visit chicago again!!! :) read more
