Definitely a smaller more limited farmer's style market with maybe eat to ten tables with tons of fresh fruit, vegetables, buts and even hot eats from Me Gusta Gourmet Tamales including traditional assortments as well as veggie (lard and gluten-free). A lot of the same longstanding vendors who definitely keep a great sense of community #SupportLocalAndSmall If I do manage to grab something it's typically blackberries (super fresh), but honestly the quality won't disappoint at all. Not many places to park unless you're local, shopping close by (such as Ralph's Ross, Petco or Marshall's) but very accessible via Metro services. All vendors except various forms of payment so cash isn't required and it's free to walk around or through. Be great if they had more room for a few more SoCal vendors or even an activity or two like music and games, but hard to execute without more space and avoid any kind of safety issue. On Mondays the Atkins Nursery that sells great citrus fruit such as loquats and grapefruit also has some thriving plants for purchase as well. This farmers' market is extremely convenient for the Metro riders as it's located right on top of the Hollywood/Western Red Line Station. It runs from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Thursday. Third, we asked if he could slice a piece of an apple for us to try and he replied "no sampling". Again, a farmer would not do that. This guy just resells supermarket produce at a "farmers market". That is, in my opinion, misleading and unethical. I rather give my money to a supermarket, at least they have better service. The selection is good for the size of the shop but again just be aware that it's the same produce you can buy at your local supermarket.

We also tried the Pupusas at Delmy's Pupusas, most varieties selling for $5 each. We always make sure we stop by Sour Suzie for Sourdough bread, which is situated about a block outside the Farmer's Market. After getting my travel items, I saw the La Cienega farmers market, which is not far from a Target and a Renal care center. This small farmers market every Saturday is nestled in the corner on La Cienega Blvd. near 18th St. and the Beverlywood/La Cienega area. The minute I entered this happy zone I saw a tamale stand. The name of the stand is no longer visible or I would put a review of outstanding on whoever made these tamales. They had various kinds, and so I had a great deal, ordering the pork, chicken, and first time ever, pineapple tamales. The three tamales were large, with a sweet corn surrounding its inside of stuffed pork, or chicken or pineapple. The pineapple tamale filled with fresh pineapple is a revelation. A+ A little further down they had the mandatory kettle corn, in the corner a barbecue place where the owner was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, but I was already packed with goodies to go, so I made a mental note to come back on another Saturday. I saw a pupusa stand, which is El Salvadoran and I would've ordered some pupusa's but I had the three tamales. I did order a large watermelon juice to go.
