    Amazing fruit
    Valerie L.

This place is bomb! Drove up from San Diego to check it out and it's like Disney for fruit nerds. So many great options including juices, nuts, teas and amazing fruit! The woman in front was very helpful explaining all of the exotic fruit options, as some were new to me. I got a ton of things, including a huge watermelon w seeds.

    Ice cream bean
    Leonard K.

I saw someone talking about this place on instagram and how they had a bunch of exotic fruit. I really wanted to try the ice cream bean for years but never knew where to get it, then after I saw this video, I realized that it's a few miles up the street from me. They have a huge selection of exotic fruits, the prices are reasonable, and the service is kind. It's worth checking out this quaint little place with all of these exotic fruits. Oh and the ice cream bean was pretty good too!

    "Tropical fruit box" for $70
    N G.

I have ordered the tropical fruit box from Sasoun for the last two years and always had great produce; however the last 3 boxes have been very disappointing for $70. The boxes are under the guaranteed weight and it seems like they just throw in leftover fruit now. I had a cherimoya that had clearly been frozen and was mush inside but life cold and hard on the outside. I've also been receiving lots of non-tropical fruit (e.g. apples and a donut peach). I hope they go back to the better days!

I found this place from an influencer on IG. He said this is the best place in LA to get exotic fruit and he was so right I ended up getting a few items. The owner really knew her fruit. She was very friendly and also good at giving suggestions on what to try I liked everything I got it was an experience. I will go back for just to be able to try fruits from tropical areas that we are not known in our region for to have but like I say, give it a try and you decide.

Great customer service. They have a lot of variety of different fruits and vegetables. It is pricy. I would definitely go back.

To be fair, I tried to check out B Hills but it was chaotic af, I was doing a test drive and didn't want anything to happen to the car trying to find parking so I said screw it. This may be as close as I get and that's fine. I know it's a photo op for many, but this is my market of choice. I truly am a fan. Thankfully parking was easier here, I got a spot by the door and went in. Given that it was a Sunday, I appreciated it. I know it's the OG so it's nice to finally pay my respects. Understandably the layouts a bit different and I'm here for it. I'm not used to seeing the soup right by the door. I got some broccoli at the hot bar I'd never seen before, yum! I wish I saw it more. They had my beef chili, eggs I've never seen. Though I'm over the hold my beer on egg prices. I tap out with my $15 Erewhon dozen. Store was clean as always, staff was kind, loads of people as always, but I didn't need priority checkout bc the line was nonexistent when I checked out. It was probably harder to get out than in, but nothing I don't deal w at the Pasadena store. I still want to go back to WeHo, but I'm happy I finally made it here. Is this place part of my personality, ya. Do I care, nope! I'll come back, especially if I get confused about which store I'm going to lol.

Now that they've been around for a number of years, it's a well known fact that Erewhon is as…read morefamous for their celebrity endorsed smoothies as they are notorious for their astronomical prices. If a trip to Whole Foods earns them the nickname "Whole Paycheck", Erewhon will probably cost you your monthly rent. And yet, like a moth to a flame, I couldn't help but make a trip here to check out their wildly popular (and expensive) smoothies! Wandering through the aisles, Erewhon has all of the basics you would expect to find at a market, but a lot of the brands they carry aren't the typical mainstream ones you'll find at most other supermarkets. In a sense, they're like the Whole Foods of Whole Foods, as they almost exclusively feature premium/luxury brands that position themselves as being more "health focused". While that sort of claim can be relative (e.g. lower calories, but higher sodium), there's no question that the quality of their fresh produce, meats, and seafood definitely looked pretty legit, with a lot of products that are organic, free-range, cage-free, hormone-free, etc. As for the aforementioned smoothies that so many folks both praise and complain about, they're made fresh to order from their tonic bar that sits in the middle store - easy to find, but inconvenient to navigate past. With over a dozen different pre-set flavors/combinations to choose from, along with the option to customize and/or create your own, the menu has so much to offer. What's more, if you aren't in the mood for one of their smoothies, they also have freshly pressed juices, coffees, and teas. Even though their Strawberry Glaze Smoothie is easily their most popular smoothie (and best, according to Hailey Bieber), we opted to try their MALIBU MANGO SMOOTHIE ($21) instead. Based purely on taste, this actually wasn't too shabby - It had a nice punch of mango flavor and the consistency was smooth with just the right thickness to it. Plus, I liked how creamy both the texture and taste was and how it wasn't overly sweet. That being said, after tax/tip, did it taste $28 good? No. Although there wasn't anything inherently "bad" with this, it didn't taste all that different from the one I can get by my place in SF that costs me less than half as much. Despite how expensive the smoothie was, which at least I was already prepared for, the thing that really took us by surprise was how long it took for it to be made. Granted, this location might be an outlier, as its proximity to The Grove probably contributes to the number of people that were here, but I never would've guessed we'd have to wait almost half an hour for our order. Since I don't live anywhere near an Erewhon, I can't say if/when I would come back, but I certainly wouldn't entirely rule it out, as I liked the smoothie we got and I'm genuinely curious about the Strawberry Glaze one as well as some of their prepared foods. However, for how much it would set me back, it'll probably have to come after the next time I get a bonus or a raise so I can feel a little better about the splurge. Four stars for taste and the quality of what Erewhon has, but two stars, at best, for value, so three it is.

It consists of chaga mushroom powder, cacao, and cinnamon. I got it with coconut milk to give it creaminess, which it did, but overall, I felt the drink to be a bit too sweet for my liking. 2. Jalapeño Cheese Scone (4/5) I like the flavor of the Jalapeño, but the scone was a bit too dry and crumbly. The cheese was also lacking, but it could be because it was served cold. My product was close to the bottom shelf, which I counted, dusted, and then typed up a report on my phone for my business. They kindly reported me to my company for texting on my phone and sitting in the aisle. What, they expected me to kneel or lay on the floor? There were almost no customers, so you would think they had their own restocking to do instead of monitoring what I was doing. Plus it was super-dusty. I guess those bishes didn't dust? What absolute bishes. Maybe it was because smartphones were newish in 2011? I had just been at Erewhons and they were all supernice to me there. The contrast was glaring. While this was in 2011, it left a very bad taste in my mouth, so I can't support their business when they treat visitors so poorly. I probably should have immediately complained to management. So here I am complaining to Yelp 15 years later. But seriously, anywhere I go as a demonstrator, I am also a potential customer for lunch, groceries, or whatnot. A young man asked me how he could help. I explained who the person was, the key issues they're using CBD products. I then asked for their best product and he recommended the product featured in 4 of the posted photos on this review. A review of the manufacturer's website and you'll find they seem to use the highest possible quality products and it offers more than just CBD...CBA & other acronyms I don't recall. It is the most expensive one they had and lucky for me they. 30% sale going on. I bought three packages for my family member and they should be good for 3-6 months. Pure CBD has a frequent buyer program, a website and will ship across the US. I'm so glad I stopped.
