The best matcha ever ! Everyone was so kind and for how long the line was, the service was relatively quick!

Incredible Matcha in all of USA. Heard a lot of hype about community goods on social media, but honestly wasn't expecting much. However, for once the rumors were true. This place makes the best Matcha latte! Tried the regular Matcha with almond milk, which was spectacular. The Matcha Einspanner with sweet cream was also phenomenal. The sweet cream has a slight corn flavor to it, which is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend both for all matcha lovers. Depending on how much sweetness you prefer. Also,m for light bites, the pistachio toast was absolutely splendid. Also tried their famous breakfast sliders were just mediocre in my opinion. Personally, I do not like the Hawaiian rolls due to a slight sweetness in their bun which may have been reason for my lower rating when it comes to this order. Finally got to try this place and it is indeed worth the hype!! Came by late Saturday afternoon and luckily found street parking in the residential area a block away. I can imagine it's probably always hard to find parking here. Surprisingly the line wasn't as long as I expected since I have seen some pictures where the line wraps around to the main street. Waited around 30-40 min and ordered the matcha and coffee einspanner. I liked the coffee more after the cream got mixed in because the matcha with cream tasted a bit too sweet for me. I don't get the hype with this place. I've seen it on YouTube vlogs and TikTok several times so when I was in the area on a Thursday morning I drove by and there was no line. I got the sliders with bacon and an iced matcha with maple syrup. The matcha was really good but the sliders were very mid. They were ready 30 seconds after I ordered, the egg was a weird texture, the bacon was fatty and I thought they had too much cheese. The best part of the sliders was the two sauces it came with. After finding out the Pacific Design Center kiosk didn't serve food, we made our way to the original Community Goods. We got there early on a Saturday morning, so street parking wasn't too difficult, but there was already a pretty long line. Thankfully, it moved steadily--we waited about 45 minutes. Best unemployment activity in LA!! The lines are unreal, but I understand the hype. I only come here exactly at opening time and the wait is about 15-20 minutes. Personally, Community Goods isn't worth more than a 40 minute wait, so I'll never come mid-day. Love the Matcha Einspanner since it's already sweetened, but if you get a different matcha latte it doesn't default with sweetener. You can choose for your drink to be sweetened with maple syrup, vanilla, or honey. I like the vanilla syrup. Community Goods is unfortunately/fortunately worth the wait for their matcha einspanners. The matcha is slightly earthy, but the pleasantly salty cream foam is the real standout and what keeps me coming back. It seems like the salted foam is delivered to the store. There always seems to be a line, but their staff works very efficiently. The texture felt very one-note...soft, untoasted Hawaiian buns, thick fluffy egg, and even more so with the avocado we added. Flavor-wise, they were plain and unimpressive. Let's be real, this is the most LA place to line up for. Came on a weekday morning and the line was about 25 minutes. Food: The egg sliders were tasty and a bit sweet. Nothing complex about it. The line was full of restless people and It was overwhelming. It was hot outside. It's pricey also. But my food was delicious. I recommend but beware you need to make it an event instead of a stop. Came here on a Friday afternoon and there was a line out the door. We waited about 45 minutes to get in. The cafe is really small inside but they do have some seats outside along the side and back of the building. The menu is also pretty small. The most popular item seems to be their matcha einspanner. Since the line was so long I decided to try both the matcha and hojicha einspanner. The hojicha einspanner has a really strong hojicha flavor that can be a bit overwhelming. My friend and bf didn't like it but I thought it was okay. As for the matcha einspanner, we all enjoyed it. It had a good amount of sweetness and creaminess. My bf got the matcha latte which wasn't sweet at all even though he added honey so he wasn't a fan of that drink. My friend and I arrived at 8:45am on a Saturday and there line wrapped around the block. Street parking was easy enough across thw street with a paid meter. We waited in line for almost 2 hours. The interior of the store is very cramped. Interestingly enough, they have random goods for sale like pimple patches and chili. Its hard to browse though while lining. When we got to the front, I got distracted with their pastry display. We ordered a ham and cheese danish, breakfast sliders, a matcha latte, a vanilla bean latte, and an einspanner latte. Then we shuffled to the side to wait. The wait wasn't too long but it was awkward to wait and be blocking the pick up counter lol. The sliders are pretty tasty but definitely not worth the price at all. The sauce it comes with is pretty good, sweet and spicy. The ham and cheese danish was pretty standard. I heard a girl say their matcha changed her life but sadly it did not change mine. It was very milky. The vanilla bean latte and einspanner were also just okay. Would I come back? Nah. If you've ever heard of this place, then you also know that there's always a very long line for getting matcha here. I, personally, am not really a big matcha person so I was skeptical on how good it could really be BUT yes, it is THAT good. I first had Community Goods and their matcha at Eeeeeatscon as a vendor, and thought it was good there so I wanted to see how the brick & mortar location stacked up to it. I arrived at around 2:30pm-3pm on a Saturday and sure enough, there was a long queue out the door the stretched to the intersection on Melrose. I didn't think the wait was too bad; it was about 30-40 mins. to order. But also, it only took about 3-5 mins. after ordering to receive my drink, a Matcha Einspanner, which is essentially a matcha latte with an added thick, whipped cream. As I mentioned earlier, I am not an aficionado of matcha (I'm not a big fan of earthy, grassy flavors) so I prefer a sweeter, milkier version of any matcha drink I have and Community Goods really hit the mark with this one. Pleasant and not overwhelming matcha taste with the sweet, luscious cream and a pinch of salt for a bit of extra delight. Definitely my favorite matcha drink I would get over and over again in my rotation! It's a small, cozy interior with no seating for consumption of your drinks and food, but outside the building, you can find a few tables and benches to enjoy your drinks! No seating inside, but they have outdoor seating on the side! More of a grab and go place though. They use Rocky's Matcha and that's what most come here for! We're usually able to find a spot in some of the side streets later into the day on weekends, but sometimes I also park further and walk up and down the shops, stopping by here for drinks. The maldon salt really takes it to the next level so much so that I have started adding salt to my matcha as well. The matcha isn't necessarily really strong but still really balanced (again the salt brings it out so much).
