This is the best piano store in Los Angeles. I researched used pianos for months (Facebook marketplace, other buy/sell/trade outlets, thrift shops, etc). You will not find another business that sells such high quality products for a reasonable price. Not kidding--I am on a budget, and every thrift store I visited was selling pianos in terrible condition for 1,000+. Every piano in Hanmi is high quality, and they are extremely transparent with any wear and tear. I was helped by Sunny, who is lovely. I came in on a Friday to scope it out, returned on a Saturday to purchase, and received the most seemless delivery service on Sunday. If I could give this even more stars, I would. I wanted a new digital Yamaha, because my previous one (which I bought from Amazon some years ago) had no dynamics and wasn't a full sized keyboard. I looked up closest Yamaha shops nearby, and Hanmi Piano was the one I decided on. And looking back, I'm so thankful I chose Hanmi. I had the best experience there, from the pianos offered and the kindness and helpfulness of the manager. I went there and the manager welcomed me inside, and asked me what I was looking for. I told her how I wanted to get a better digital piano than the one I owned previously, and what price range I was looking for, and she showed me all the pianos there in that price range and told me their specs and turned them on for me to play. She was very patient and kind, and eventually I chose the Yamaha P125. She asked me how I plan to get it to my place, and after I mentioned I didn't have a car, she offered to drive it and deliver it to my place personally, because it was sort of on the way back to her home from her store. It was raining that night too, and she still found my place and helped me carry the piano box up the stairs and into my room. She is incredibly kind and sweet, and the pianos she has there are amazing. I am in love with my P125. And the piano is new and has a year warranty with Yamaha as well. My husband and I recently bought an upright piano from Hanmi. We were interested in a used Yamaha upright with a mahogany finish for our living room. The moment we walked into Hanmi we saw it. It sounded great. Not pristine like a new piano but had a ton of character. My husband plays a lot of rock, blues and country music and the piano sounds PERFECT for that. Sunny was really sweet and easy to work with. We love her! We felt really happy with the price we paid and she even included a free tuning with the piano. When our piano came home we noticed some buzzing, but the technician that Sunny sent to tune our piano was able to solve the issue. Not sure how. Magic maybe. The piano makes us so happy. In addition to being beautiful it brings my husband so much joy. He's even starting to play Beethoven! I would definitely recommend Hanmi if you're looking for a preowned Yamaha. Worse than a cliché used car sales person. I called to sell a Yamaha baby grand piano. After texting a few pictures to a woman there, she called me the next day. She asked how much I wanted, I told her I am not in the industry, and asked what would be a fair price. She said she didn't know how much she could offer, that she would have to consult her team. Why bother calling me then. She was truly unprofessional. This isn't some street vendor transaction, I'm not trying to haggle over a trinket. It was a ridiculous waste of time. TLDR; the pianos are terribly maintained and covered in dust. The staff is rude and, from their interactions with other people, seem to be incredibly prejudiced and racist. IF YOU ARE GOING TO SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS HERE, DO SO AT YOUR OWN PERIL. The disrespect to the instruments in this store is horrible. The pianos are all left open, they are dusty, and they look like they are being neglected. The workers are rude, and they are giving the Yamaha brand a bad name. If I walk in there ready to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a fine instrument, the least they could do is treat me with respect, and treat the instruments with respect. I have never encountered a more pathetic representation of Yamaha in any other city. If the owners read this, understand that you are besmirching the good name of a respected brand, and I will be writing to their corporate headquarters about your misuse of their company name in the commission of substandard service. We probably visited a half dozen piano stores before we finally found Hanmi. Their pianos are well maintained and Sunny worked with us to find one that worked best for our family. We've now owned our used Yamaha for over a year and it gets played several times a day; people can hardly believe its age! Hanmi worked with us on adding a silencer feature, and very kindly allowed us to switch out the bench when it became clear the one we had taken was inhibiting the playing for our young kids. Everyone I met at Hanmi was pleasant to work with. I purchased a P-255 and they had competitive pricing compared to Guitar Center! I initially bought a NU1 piano that was delivered with a busted speaker, so my faith in that product was tested. This wasn't Hanmi's fault, but rather Yamaha's. Ultimately, I decided to return it and get a different model. Hanmi understood the problem and was very apologetic for the inconvenience. Hanmi piano worked with me to get the NU1 piano returned, they helped me get out of the financing agreement and helped me in getting the P-255. Even when I returned the NU1 I had a lot of store credit (because it was a more expensive instrument), but they still worked with me to get me a competitive deal that would have been comparable at Guitar Center. Everyone was really nice, especially Alice who really helped to make sure I was satisfied once I returned the NU1 resolved the transaction. Just be sure you are aware of their return policy before you purchase. read more

We just donated my husband's piano from his childhood that my girl used to play and came to Hanmi Piano to get a new digital baby grand piano for her, specifically Yamaha. Jade was the employee who helped us and showed us every digital piano option they could offer. She started with the very cheapest. Inside, I was surprised. Many salesman usually show the high price range first, She went through every option explained the difference. Not pushy at all but very thorough. They had the newest model grand digital piano we've been researching on. When we decided to purchase one, Jade and the assistant director both were offered a great price (way better than any online sites we've seen), then upgraded the bench (the digital ones come with a small one without any storage. When we asked for a bench with storage to place books, they nicely upgraded the bench), and no delivery/shipping charge, and complimentary assemble upon delivery! She even reminded me to double check the model number to make sure it's the latest model. So professional yet sweet. We walked away felt so good about the purchase. If you're trying to buy an acoustic grand piano, forget it. They're dressed up on the outside, and beat up on the inside, here. The salesmen have no patience, and, like the other negative reviews, here, I suspect, this one will be hidden/erased. The 'salesman', blocked the pianos, at first. Then, when I asked to play one, he was reluctant. Then, unbeknowndst, to me, he led me to a used Yamaha grand. The keys stuck, and tones did not play on every key. It's clear that this guy collects pianos that 'musicians' beat up and banged on, then he paints them over, makes them look good, and then has the audacity to try and sell them. I don't know if the majority of customers, coming here to purchase an acoustic piano are musicians or just people that want a piece of furniture, that happens to be a piano, but I guess he's been getting away with much. read more
