EXCELLENT PRICE! Wow! I went in did not expect such a good price and going home with a piano. The store itself was inside of Westminster mall. It was beautifully decorated with bright lights. All the pianos there were all reasonably priced with shining looks, different colors and types of woods. I was wow! Since Westminster Mall is so dead so I assumed they get really affordable price. Therefore, the owner was able to offer me such a great price for a Kawaii fully made in Japan. But after a while, I definitely couldn't leave a piano with that good of the price. It was a high quality piano that I ever dreamt of to own since I was a little girl. The owner was really nice and able to show and explain everything I needed. Just got our beautiful Yamaha C5 (E) in this morning and I'm over the moon with it! I did my diligence in searching dozens of stores for months, played hundreds of pianos, and read The Piano Book front to cover several times. I am an intermediate player but probably a bit more technical than the average piano buyer; I regularly tuned our last piano and did some other minor work on a few other pianos after ~100 hours of piano tech self study. Most pianos look beautiful, but not all of them are musically up to par. Many of the stores we visited have either non-standard parts, no voicing, terrible regulation, are very dirty, or are out of tune, which makes them hard to judge and means extra hundreds or thousands of dollars of routine work to make them playable or presentable. Piano Empire takes very good care of their pianos. The action conditioning work done by the store tech was particularly praiseworthy as our piano is coming in totally ready condition. The seasonal humidity change caused it to come out of tune in the store during the purchase and they even tuned it perfectly just before shipping without telling us, that was very appreciated! The other pianos here were similarly well maintained, and the selection is large, with some lower and higher end (they had a Steinway Concert Grand and an antique art-piece piano ($$$$), alongside beginner uprights ($)) so if you aren't sure what you're looking but want to go for used, you'll probably find something you like here. Chris (the owner) was great to work with. I am a pretty neurotic person when it comes to big purchases, and this was the largest purchase I've ever made. He answered our questions and was patient as I called probably a dozen times and did 4 visits, one with our technician to do an inspection before purchasing. At one point we even pulled the action out to look at the pin block and he patiently explained some innocuous divots; he's way, way more technical than most other sales staff/owners we met in the process. I did feel a bit of sales pressure but actually a lot less than at most of the other places we visited, I think that's just the business. If anything it was helpful because I didn't really want to drag the purchase out for any longer and we were pretty sure about this piano even from our first visit. Chris was very quick to respond and helped us move everything forward efficiently so overall excellent service. The move went smooth as well, their moving company (JPX) was great and effortlessly navigated an extremely tight turn with the piano, which really barely fits our space and is oversized (the advice is to get the largest piano that fits your budget and space, and we took that very literally!!!). Then they helped us move the piano and carpet a few times. No scratches, they wrapped the piano carefully and it came pristine. I'd have to stretch to think about anything that didn't go smoothly through Piano Empire. We thought a lot about going through an authorized dealer for Yamaha, as they tend to have better warranties. I would say the warranty here was a lot shorter/simpler than other stores. However I also believe most warranties are not useful or enforceable. The Piano Book also mentions this. Note Steinway gives a 5 year warranty on new pianos, which are supposed to last for over a hundred years. Too much can happen. Do your diligence and this won't be an issue. Overall I liked Chris's business model a lot, the pianos are also priced a lot more reasonably than other stores. Their store catalog online is not up to date (no other stores are either) so give them a call/visit in your piano search, you definitely won't regret it! read more

We are so glad we come here for the second time. They really live up to their name the " Piano Empire Megastore". so many choices to chose from. The owner Chris is so knowledgeable about each pianos. He is also very honest about their makers and prices. We were shopping for a grand piano for my daughter. We didn't want to invest too much to it first because of lacking piano knowledge so we start with asking for a good quality second hand one since the look is something we can sacrifice on . After explained what we are looking for. Chris patiently educated us from the makers to the sounds differences on each potential choice pianos. Along the way he also showed us what other choices we do have that don't need to be a second hand one. Not one moment of feeling pressure from him. He spend hours to helps us. In the end we feel so confident and happy to make our own choice and bought a new piano on the same day. Now we are looking forward to welcome our piano this Friday. We were shopping for a used baby grand piano but honestly did not have much knowledge about them. After visiting another piano store in the area and leaving that store due to low inventory and high sales pressure tactics, my husband and I decided to go to Piano Empire. What a difference! Chris Vance and his team at Piano Empire were wonderful! Piano Empire has numerous showrooms in the mall and a huge selection of both new and used pianos to choose from. Chris spent hours with my husband and I taking us to the different showrooms while patiently educating us and never pressuring us with sales tactics. My husband, a novice player, was able to play the pianos while we were there. After finally narrowing down our choices to a couple pianos we were trying to choose between, we asked a very accomplished pianist who worked there if she would play a couple songs for us so we could really listen to the sound. She played amazing and that really solidified which piano we wanted based on our budget, sound, and quality of the piano. We went in looking for a used baby grand but Piano Empire's pricing was so competitive that we decided on purchasing a brand new grand piano. It got late so we told them we would be back the next day to purchase the piano. That evening, I happened to be online and came across the exact same piano we had decided on being sold by a private party. The private party had owned it for a little over a year but were moving and had no room for the piano in their new home. I called Piano Empire and spoke to Chris Vance and told him we decided to purchase the piano from the private party as it would save us some money since it was 'used' but it was in excellent condition. Chris never tried to talk us out of that and continued being as supportive as he was while we were in the store. We called Chris a couple times after purchasing from the private party to ask him some questions about the piano and he has continued to be very supportive and helpful even though we did not end up purchasing from him. Everyone at piano empire is just wonderful, and their service is excellent. I had been in the store several times looking at pianos for my son starting a couple years ago. The owner Chris was always on the floor to assist and answer questions. We purchased a brand new Kingsburg model a couple months ago, and learned so much about the build and dynamics of a piano. My father and I went in the store just to see what was in stock. (We are piano fanatics) We came across a lot of BEAUTIFUL pianos that were in all shapes and sizes. I was eager to play a song on one of the pianos but instead I ran into the store clerk. The store clerk was nice and all and we had a nice chat with him, but then I stopped the conservation when he was kinda getting on my nerves. I sat down on a nice piano and started playing until the store clerk came to me and asked, "What kind of piano do you have?" I said back, "A Yamaha keyboard." I was disgusted not only by the question he asked me, but the look on his face when I said I had a keyboard. Then he told me not to get this piano since It was a weight key piano and not a light key. Although I really didn't want to get rid of my baby grand for an upright, I knew I needed to. Chris showed me many options available and I chose a beautiful Yamaha tall console upright. The transaction went smoothly and delivery date and time was set. Delivery guys were very professional and took great care of my baby grand in transport. They delivered my Yamaha upright to my new home. A few days passed, and I got a follow up call from Chris. He wanted to make sure that everything went well with the delivery of my Yamaha and that we got settled into our new home. I live nearly 1,000 miles from Piano Megastore, so why did I purchase my beautiful grand piano from Chris Vance, the owner, and his wonderful staff? For a hundred and one positive reasons and not a single negative among them. I contacted Piano Megastore because it was one of only two stores in the United States that carried the exact grand piano I wanted. I had no idea what to expect, but I certainly didn't expect the kind of honesty, decency, and kindness, nor the outstanding customer service and helpfulness that I experienced. The owner, Chris Vance, and his employees Greg and Leon share a thoughtful and intuitive approach to customers that is delightful and puts you at ease. All of them made me feel like family--a feeling that remains with me today. There was no pressure or coercion. Chris listened respectfully, asked thoughtful questions, and gave me plenty of breathing room. From the outset, the three men established an atmosphere of trust and honesty; and as a result, I had no doubts or second thoughts about my choices. I would like to tell you all the wonderful things that Chris and his staff did on my behalf--and that for simply one potential customer--but there isn't enough room on this page. Besides, he'd have to hire more staff to manage future customers' expectations! The man who is working there today (2:00pm) and answering the phone, is one of the most patient and nicest people who has ever dealt with my son on the phone. My son has autism, and also has perfect pitch, and he is basically obsessed with pianos. My son even tried to argue with this man regarding ratings on different pianos and who actually manufactures them, etc. and the salesman could not have been nicer, more informative, or more patient. I just bought the Bohemia Grand piano here, and it was the best experience ever. Nova and Chris has been super helpful, they are the best people. They were extremely patient while I was picking my piano, and Chris spent almost 3 hours patiently explained each piano and gave me the freedom to try any piano I like. Until I found this piano, is like the sound of my dream. The moving process however was a bit difficult since I'm putting the piano on the second floor of the house, every company refused taking the job but only one company willing to try but requested a double charge however Piano Empire still pays for me anyway. The mover was extremely professional they wrap everything and they set up for me. If you ever want a piano, you have to go to the piano empire, their service is just amazing, they are the most professional people you can find. After reading some of these ignorant posts, I just wonder if I went to the same store as the father and daughter that gave the bad reviews. First off, I went there with no knowledge of pianos, prices, or even what I really wanted. Then I met Chris, who said, "I will teach you about pianos." He spent about 3 hours with me and answered all my questions. What more could anyone ask for? Then, after I came back with my wife, he spent another 2 hours teaching my wife and demonstrating various pianos. Keep in mind, the first time I met Chris, I just wanted a black piano for furniture. After spending all that time with my teacher and later my friend, we settled on a digital baby grand piano in mahogany! We couldn't be happier. Greg the salesman, who is a wizard with all the controls, has been just as patient with us as Chris. He is trying to teach us how to play, but we enjoy listening to him play even more! This piano does it all, much like Chris and Greg. I would recommend that anyone who is even remotely interested in buying a piano, go to Piano Empire first. We recently went shopping for a piano and after checking out five large piano retailers in three counties we ended up purchasing a piano from Piano Empire. They offered a relatively larger selection of pianos compared to the other retailers. The wide selection is what enabled us to find a piano that met our budget yet was larger and had a sound superior to other similarly priced pianos at other stores. I really liked that there was never any pressure involved in the sale even though we spent several hours in the store over three different visits. In contrast, at other stores it was awkward when salespeople would stop us as we were leaving to give us a slightly better limited time offer on a piano we weren't really settled on. All of the piano stores we checked consistently told us that the price of piano player systems like QRS and Pianodisc are fixed from other vendors. But the actual price that another store quoted us for those systems was significantly higher which leads me to believe that Piano Empire either has a more favorable deal with the vendors who provide these systems, or that some of the other retailers are simply less honest. Although our piano played very well in the store, we were warned that it is expected for issues to arise due to the moving process. Shortly after the move our piano developed some sticky keys and we notified the store just as an FYI in anticipation of the future free piano tuning. Instead of waiting for the piano tuning which was already set for a subsequent week, the store sent someone within a day to start working on the sticky keys. I was impressed that they were able to accommodate our schedule and work on this during the evening. All of their staff from the people in the store to the technicians that worked on our sticky keys and performed tuning were highly professional and knowledgeable. We were very satisfied with the whole process and are very happy with our piano. read more

I was very pleased with the service we had on 4/15/14. Everyone was very knowledgable and set us on our way to buying the absolute perfect piano. I had an idea of what kind of piano I was looking for by going to other stores. This store was by far the most knowledgable in ALL of their product. Aside from that being a major plus, they then were extremely patient with our decision showing us every possible piano that would be in our taste. That being said, they educated us on the various types of pianos and what features they have. Finally, after going through many pianos they showed us one from the beginning of the search and after all of the prior instruction, this piano was ours! The perfect match was a Perzina 122 upright. The bass notes on this piano were nicer than any other grand piano I have ever played! And this is an upright!!!!!!!!! Please go give them a visit and buy a Piano! I was disappointed, however, the sales that I could not re-call his name did make us felt better. I am happy with the price, it is a good price for a baby grant. In my comments, I did not complain about the price at all. And the cover, I contacted the salesperson, he is nice and explain to me about the cover. I was satisfied. All I am complaining about are the tuning and delivery. It did bother me a lot. it came to the point, the pianist tuner kept calling me ask about having piano lessons, asking the series number on the piano. I am satisfied with the salesperson part and the piano itself. but the delivery and tuning is really bad. For the piano store and salesperson, I would like to give 5 stars. Follow up - i received a letter from the salesman who sold me the piano. With the letter was a $432 refund check. Here is the response letter i sent: Though I would have preferred to have been able to cancel the sell, what most bothered me was that when asked, I was led to believe that it would not have been a problem. I was aware of the store policy and was expecting a rejection of my request. If that had been the initial response, I would not have been nearly as upset. Thank you for the discount in the price. This gesture does show me that Piano Empire is interested in maintaining good relations with all of its customers and the move is greatly appreciated. We recently bought a Young Chang bar piano from Aimee at Piano Empire. The product, service and price were great. The icing on the cake was when we counted too few steps in our home (piano was put on second floor), the delivery company charged more than originally quoted and Piano Empire absorbed the costs.
