It's fine :) The bakery department I could SING about, I love everything I've purchased from them. The cheese bread is a family favorite! My aunt will drive all the way from Millinocket for their fresh picked crab meat. Two things I WISH they had? Poppi soda and Chester Fried Chicken. I love checking out and seeing the friendly young faces that work up front. One of my very first jobs was in a grocery store like this one, it brings back happy memories. I remember the older folks that were kind and friendly to me, so I strive to BE that adult for these kids.

Their fruit selection also looked very fresh. One of the associates was especially helpful when I asked where to find an item. she even used the store app to track it down for me. Overall, Hannaford isn't a budget supermarket, but the quality is excellent, and they offer a nice variety. For me, their prepared foods are the real standout.

The sauce was decent but the cheese was what you would expect from a slice being kept warm for three days on end. This is even worse than I expected. Again, I'm giving the store a good review for their ability to provide all the other things a grocery store should. Just don't expect good pizza.

The staff are friendly and quick to help and their front end boasts a handful of registers ensuring you are in and out with what you need in a timely manner. The parking lot is also large and can accommodate compact cars and RVs. The last time I got it the cheese wasn't cooked through, but there was enough grease to drown an army. Why not "see you soon" or nothing at all? Have a good night...maybe that's why when I actually go in to get it, they look at me like I have 5 heads and struggle to reciprocate basic pleasantries. Aside from that I was charged 2 separate times on my card because their "machine was broken"...then don't have people use their cards guys - come on. And on the same occasion a woman was having an issue with the pumps and the associate behind the desk was so indifferent and rude, I thought it was a joke, I thought hear people must know each other, but no. I'd steer clear unless you live right up the road or are a regular, they seem to be the only people who get treated properly. The groceries were on the pricier side so we ended up not getting anything else, but I respect that they're paying their people a living wage.

You can use it in-store as well for fresh produce only. The store itself has everything you could possibly need. Mostly locally produced faire or Maine-produced. They have a great bakery with fresh bread, pizza and donuts. One of my favorites is the grind-your-own peanut butter machine. Nothing beats fresh peanut butter!

This general store is adorable with Pinterest worthy touches (canoe on the ceiling with twinkle…read morelights, fresh sunflowers, etc.) and everyone there was super friendly/ helpful. It has a limited range of grocery items, but with that in mind, don't pass this place. They have baked-goods, hot and iced coffees with flavor pumps, grab and go breakfast sandwiches/ pizza, chips/ candy, selection of beverages both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. We also ordered food to eat in-store at a handful of tables. My son got a breakfast burrito, my daughter got a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. Later in the day, they stopped back in for meatball subs and a garden salad. Everything was delicious. There are also locally-produced items like soaps, local meat, etc., Definitely will be back next summer!
