Cute booth inside with the right sauces

My boyfriend and I discovered Hanoi kitchen when it was in its former location. What an idea this owner had, to create a club like restaurant with crazy lights, loud music and really awesome art deco art everywhere. The experience eating there is an exclusive sort of party vibe and it's always popping especially late at night. Tables are clean, staff is kind and service is relatively fast. The food portions are perfect, and you get a lot of food for the amount you spend. The vegan vermicelli noodles is my absolute favorite with tofu. They use these lemon balm leaves and I can't get enough of them! I wrap it around the noodles and chow down. One of my favorite restaurants.

Was craving for some Vietnamese foods. Found this restaurant. The place has some cool decors. Never thought to find Mario from the Super Mario game to be here. We came in for an early dinner. Got seated right away. Menu looks nice. We ordered the followings: - A7. Hanoi Spring Rolls (2) (Bánh Tráng Cuốn) - G4. Grilled Beef Sandwiches (Bánh Mì Bò Nướng) - A16. Steam Rice Rolls (Bánh Cuốn) I normally get Phở, but the Steam Rice Rolls caught my eyes, so I got that. It was very good. One of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. The Grilled Beef Sandwiches was also good. The beef was well seasoned. As for the Hanoi Spring Rolls, that was an interesting item. This is the first time I tried this. It is not your typical spring rolls. This must be a specialty from the Hanoi region? It was an interesting taste. It has a crunch to it. Not too bad. While dining there, I saw a sign that they play loud music after 8 or 9 pm. Also saw some lighting equipment hanging from the ceiling. They open till midnight. I'm guessing this place double as a restaurant during the day and turns into a night club at night? This is a unique setup. I will definitely be back to try other items and experience how the restaurant is after 9pm.

C8. Sizzling beef and egg Bò né

I got the C8. Sizzling beef and egg Bò né. Ended up paying $27 with tax. It was very good and it came with a large warm toasty bread. The egg was very good as well and the meat was very tender, it would dissolve in mouth. The only thing that I noticed is different, that the sausage in the menu photo is larger than the one that came in the plate. I was a little disappointed with that. But the taste was great and the person behind the register was very nice and helpful helping me order.

Mmm! This restaurant used to located at the King Supermarket. Ordered E5. Stir- Fried Lemongrass Beef With Vermicelli (Bun Bo Xao Sa) Lemonade - Nuoc Chanh My vermicelli dish was flavorful and delicious. The beef was tender and soft. Jalapeños slices spiced it up. My dish was so huge and took half home. Drink was refreshing Beautiful ambiance with a nice decor. Staff friendly and helpful.

The very first time I came to Hanoi Kitchen I came later in the night for a Bahn mi and by far one of the best Bahn mi I've had! Everything I've had each time I've came is always fresh, quick to the table, and presented to be very appetizing! The service could be a bit quicker but the customer service is always personable. But if you are looking for this kind of cuisine I love that they're open till midnight, they have strobe lights and loud music. So not only good food but great vibes!

I came here for the A16. Steamed rice rolls but unfortunately I was too late. This dish is so popular that they often run out midday. So instead I ordered yellow pancake dish which came out extra crispy like tostada chips. It was tasty, made with shrimp and pork and bean sprouts. I absolutely love the tower of lettuce & herb that came with the dish. The pancake was a bit too crispy which made it hard to wrapped with the lettuce, but I enjoyed the meal. I also ordered the egg rolls, and to my surprise, they made the filling with a whole large shrimp in each roll. Their menu has changed so I recommend calling first before traveling from a different city. They do not offer pressed sugarcane juice anymore which was one of the reasons I came. The price was reasonable. This place is located in a well lit area with a lot of parking. There's only 1 way to enter and exit. And one way Street coming in and and out. It's a bit confusing but that's upland.

    Bun Cha Hanoi

WOW!! WOW!! Ever since I went to Vietnam 2 years ago and tried Bun Cha in Hanoi, I've been searching for a place that makes the same delicious Bun Cha. I've tried one in Santa Ana but this place just knocks it out of the park!! The meat is perfectly grilled and cooked and the flavor is just the perfect balance of the fish sauce and sweetness that every bite is pure umami flavor!! It's the same as what I've had in Hanoi!! It's SO DELICIOUS and an order can be good for 2 people. And because I was curious of how their Pho tastes, I asked for a small bowl of broth and it was amazing! They've been only open for 3 weeks in the new location in Ontario. Lots of parking but make sure if you're coming in as a group, to make a reservation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. This will definitely be one of my fave Vietnamese place esp to get Bun Cha Hanoi!!

It was a little slow given it was after the lunch crowd, but the server was attentive and took care of the guests at the restaurant. Was craving the "Bánh Xeo" or Vietnamese crepes, so decided to order one along with an ice tea. The food was good, with a good amount of fresh herbs to wrap the crepes. Overall, the ambiance at this location was good compare to their previous spot by Claremont / Pomona. Would go back especially since it's conveniently right off the 10 Freeway.

I've been looking for a spot that is open late, AND I JUST DID! One of the workers let me sample the pho while I was waiting for my banh mi, very kind of her! Pho is a 9/10! I would totally come again! I think the only thing they need to add is the chili garlic paste. I would totally recommend!

There are a lot of pho places but Hanoi Kitchen does theirs a little different which separates them from the rest. Their more central style of Vietnamese food and diverse menu really make the drive here worth it vs eating somewhere closer to me. Today I ordered the pho dac biet (combination). I thoroughly enjoyed the thicker noodle and the rich broth. My girlfriend ordered the banh xeo which came out massive! I go through banh xeo at home like hotcakes but the one here were filling. They don't slack on mean or veggies. All in all I spent a little under $50 for all of this. Definitely worth trying.

Since they've moved I decided to try the new location and it was not up to par. The beef dish i got had bad bell peppers. They were rancid and not good at all. New location is very colorful with bright lights and the acoustics are loud. Definitely only go off you don't want to talk to your date at night which honestly, sometimes that's a thing so I'm not mad about it! But, overall the pho and our food dish was pretty disappointing which ducked because I had raved about the place earlier. We had to seek out a server to order and pay which was fine I guess. Pretty authentic experience. I may or may not give them another go though unfortunately.

Salt and pepper calamari, Banh Xeo with a Calamansi lemonade
    Anh L.

Food was good. The banh xeo was good and really crunchy, but oily. Almost as if they didn't let the oil drain off of the crepe. The plate it was served on was plastic and had a woven texture, so the plate didn't have a good weight to it and kept wanting up flip over when I was trying to cut the banh xeo into pieces. The Calamari also had a good flavor but was oily as well.

We came to this spot on Friday after I got out of work late, it's too loud at night so me and my boyfriend ate outside, they don't have drinks yet so we were kinda sad lol thinking we would have drinks and food but it's okay lol but the pho was moderate but can definitely be a lot more tasty but hey for being open late I'll eat it. Service was okay they checked on us here and there but I'd definitely come if your trying to grab something after 10pm

My fave rave is PHO LONG in Colton, but if that's understandably too far for you there's nothing wrong with PHO ISLAND. If you empty your vermicelli bowl here, it must be pretty good. And it is. My partner in crime got a tofu vermicelli bowl and was impressed. My shrimp and pork and crispy fried rolls bowl was definitely tasty. And the pricing was very reasonable. The only catches here were odd -- 1. When approaching the entrance, there was an awful 'sewage' like smell. When leaving, it was there again -- but it was really farming manure in the air everywhere. Not their fault, but not appetizing. 2. Apparently this place opened 16 years ago, and it's starting to show on the interior furniture. I know fixing things up would likely raise prices, but I saw a couple kinda dressed up on a date -- and the place could be a little more dressed up itself. 3. The shrimp in my bowl arrived on a thin stick skewer. To have a shrimp you must pick up the stick by the tips and pull one off. Well that shrimp apparently came right off the grill because it burnt my fingertip. It was like picking up a wooden match seconds after it's been used. That said -- this place was bustling on a Friday night, nearly full -- which means they're doing most things right.

He never came back to check on us or offer to make it right until I had to ask someone else from the back to remove the item from the table and our bill. Later, I tried to ask Felix for boxes and bags, but he walked away before I could even finish asking. His attitude came across as rude and dismissive, which was really disappointing, especially since I'm a regular customer. The same waitress we've dealt with in the past continues to be extremely rude. She has gotten our order wrong before and tends to argue instead of resolving issues. There also seems to be a communication barrier, which wouldn't be a problem if there was at least some effort to be patient or respectful but there isn't. Tonight really crossed the line. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, which is still reasonable time to dine in. The waitress made direct eye contact with me when we walked in, yet never greeted us or acknowledged us. A man came in after us and was immediately welcomed and told to take a seat. Meanwhile, my son and I stood there waiting with no direction. Eventually, I had to ask where we could sit. The man at the register mentioned they close at 9 PM and asked if we wanted to dine in or do takeout. Since we still had time, we chose to eat there. We sat down and again, nothing. The waitress walked past us multiple times, even bringing condiments and service to the man who came in after us, completely ignoring us. At around 8:45 PM, she finally approached us. As I began placing my order, she cut me off to ask "for here or takeout," then suddenly changed it to "actually, you can only do takeout." This was confusing and frustrating, especially since the other customer was clearly still being served for dine-in. I went to the register to place and pay for my order, and I asked her why the same rule didn't apply to the man behind us. She said he was dining in. That didn't make sense, considering we arrived first. The situation turned into her arguing with me claiming she didn't see us earlier and even disputing who brought us water. On top of everything, I was left feeling severely embarrassed in front of other customers, especially with my child there to witness it. No parent should have to experience that kind of treatment while simply trying to have a meal. By 9 PM, the man who came after us was already being served his food while we were denied the same service. This experience felt not only disrespectful but also discriminatory. It's disappointing because I've tried to support this place multiple times, but the consistent poor treatment and lack of professionalism make it impossible to return. I won't be coming back.

The $45 menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes such as escargot (ốc), pho, and bò né (Vietnamese sizzling beef steak), among many others. We ordered escargot with tamarind sauce, oysters with cheese, a lobster special, rau muống (water spinach) with garlic, glass noodles, and a ribeye steak. This isn't a typical buffet--each dish is cooked to order. It took about 15 minutes since there were only two chefs, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The lobster was a whole lobster with claws, and the ribeye was a generous cut served sizzling at the table. The portions are large, and our server kindly warned us ahead of time--we're glad we listened! The owner was friendly, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. My wife and I loved this place and will definitely be coming back. It's great to have quality Vietnamese food nearby without having to travel all the way to OC.
