Pho Century is a gem! Family owned and run establishment. Everything is quite authentic! The family that runs this place is super friendly, provides great service and does a wonderful job keeping the restaurant very clean. I was craving Bun Bo Hue but the daughter who runs the place said her mom is still in the back making it which takes over ten hours because they slow cook pork bones to make the fabulous broth. Totally not an issue with me since they offer so many other authentic dishes. This time I got the Shrimp, Pork and Pork Hock Bahn Cahn. Bahn Cahn is a Vietnamese udon noodle soup. These udon noodles are thick, chewy and made with tapioca or rice flour. It's different than Japanese udon. The soup was light yet umami and the pork hock was fall off the bone tender. Delicious. Even better with their chili oil, which they also make in house. It's not on the table so make sure to ask for that, it has a complex lemongrass flavor and is divine! They also have another chili oil (the one with the pink cap) that's not made in house but is extremely spicy if you want to amp up the heat. I got food poison from eating here, I thought all Vietnamese places taste the same and are good but something is wrong with this place.i got food poison from eating here. I ordered the ball pork spring roll and had not eaten the entire day. I do intermittent fasting and this had me in the throws of diarrhea for four days. I usually go to Vietnamese pho in San dimas but had a service call in ontario. I should have known not to eat here because of how small this place is but people say hole in the wall spots are good. Pho Century was a late night dinner for me and my partner. I was craving pho so we came here. I got the pho tai nam and we also split an order of the pork ball spring rolls. The spring rolls and pho were both alright. This isn't my favorite spot, but it did the job! The soup was salty and didn't have that aromatic spice to it that I prefer. Tucked away in a strip mall with Stater Bros, Pho Century is a great little Vietnamese spot. Came for dinner and the staff was attentive and quick to respond to our needs. All of the food was so good!! We got the pork chop rice, vermicelli with shrimp cakes, grilled pork and egg roll and the 4 piece pork egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. Everything was SO good! The food tasted fresh and crisp and just plain delicious! I want so badly to give them 5 stars because the servers that helped us were all so very nice but I've got to keep one star off because I was so off put by the chairs placed on the tables so as to indicate that they were closing/closed. I arrived more than an hour before closing!! It was quite disturbing to see the girl keep putting chairs on tables even though more and more people were coming in to eat and they were nowhere near closing time. But not very friendly about telling us it was time to go . We came to eat after a church service and was suggested by our group who'd been there before. I don't get asian food outside of the sgv if i'm being honest so this was surprisingly good! We tried the spring rolls, egg rolls, pork bahn mi and the brisket pho. I would get the egg rolls and pho again. Bahn mi was lacking cilantro and daikon and the spring rolls were lack luster. The pho bowl had a large serving of noodles and pretty good but on the saltier side. The quality of meat in the pho was underwhelming. Service was good and pricing for the pho was great expected but the appetizers were very expensive. Overall I would return if I was in the area and NEEDED pho but other than that i'll stick to my spots in the sgv. read more

Watch out...they charge 18% service fee. No sign anywhere on this. Also, I order beef fried rice. They accidentally gave my rice to someone else in my table and they put hot sauce. The girl noticed and turned around and grabbed it back and was about to give it to my son. He does not eat hot sauce, so she took it back. Apparently, the back kitchen said we still have to pay for it (even if it was given to the wrong person). I'm def not going back (I have been coming here for 2-3 years). Wow? I don't know where to begin. This place is a real gem! It is a small mom and pop restaurant that has been in business for 19 years. Today was my first time trying it because as usual-- I was using Yelp! to help me find a place to eat. My dad had just gotten his teeth pulled at the local dentist and needed to eat soft foods. So I figured rice porridge would be a good bet. First-- the hospitality is hands down the best. They were very accommodating for my elderly parents. Tina, even told me that in the future that I could order from DoorDash, Uber Eats, or even GrubHub for my parents. Which is WONDERFUL because I live all the way in San Francisco and my parents live down here in an assisted living place in Mont Clair. Not only could I order from these places to have delivered to my parents but she told me she would make sure things are personally catered for them (i.e. softer cooked meats or even cut up the noodles if necessary.). I am so grateful for this because it is hard to A. Find a place my parents like to eat B. Make special requests for them C. The food is 100% authentic. My mom had the BBH (Bun Bo Hue) and complimented it and ate almost the entire bowl. This people speaks to how amazing this dish is because my mom typically eats like a bird. Not a lot of food and mainly just pecks at things. But she sat there and ate and slurped and was so happy. I had the combo A rice dish. Also extremely delicious. No complaints about it. My father, the main reason for our visit-- had the rice porridge with fish fillets. He too enjoyed it. Perhaps the most out of all of us because he was able to finish the entire bowl and not even leave a drop. This place has recently been renovated. I like the interiors it looks up to date now. I ordered the cream cheese wontons last night to go and they were Yummy! Stopped by with friends on a weekend for a light meal on a hot day. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was well lit and pretty open. I ordered the Combo A (grilled beef, shrimp, and egg roll) that came with a soda which was a solid deal. The rice was cooked well and the shrimp had a nice grill flavor. The egg roll was hot and fresh but a little too overcooked. Portions were pretty good and everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their meal. I haven't been here in awhile as I been going to a Pho place closer to home. They changed the décor and seems modern but now more bland. My mother and I went here for nostalgia that no longer exist and the food was almost the same but the fish sauce was watered down so the Vermicelli wasn't up to expectations. Also we were the second customers as we got there as they opened so when we paid for our food we had to remind them to give me my Thai Tea with Boba and my mother ordered Spring Rolls and another order of Vermicelli to go. They attempted to charge us again for the Thai Tea and had to show them the receipt and how I was no in possession for my drink. I bit my tongue to not make a scene and just not go back here personally. When my mother got home with her order she realized she only had her Vermicelli and the Spring Rolls were not in the bag. She was looking forward to those soo bad she went back there which was around a 15-20 minute drive one way because it was on the weekend and I felt bad we even tipped. I have to say my favorite is here because it's bigger, bread is soft (roof of my mouth isn't scraped), tons of meat, and veggies are fresh. They recently remodeled. The place looks bigger now because it is opened and brighter. Looks modern. We always get our favorites: pho, rolls, banh mi, and fried rice. Oh, My husband loves their wonton soup, it's very flavorful, especially if you get it with beef. I personally get the veggie tofu pho. The fried rice is addicting, you keep eating it, even when you think you are already full! Lol The banh mi sandwich is the safest choice if it's your first time trying Vietnamese food. It's fulfilling and very flavorful. The food still as good as before. Their portions are decent and priced reasonably. The service is phenomenal. There are 2 sisters, one is in the kitchen (thank you Chef) and the other one is in the front taking orders and serving, she goes around talking to the customers, making sure everything tastes okay, very friendly and chatty. There is girl worker with glasses that knows the menu like the palm of her hand, she handles the places very well under pressure/busy, we have seen her in action, she's awesome and so is a thin (longer hair) male worker. As far as parking, it's never an issue; plenty of spaces. Definitely our favorite spot to have pho, Vietnamese food. read more

It was a rainy day yesterday. So my daughter wanted Pho. This is the closest one to our home. It's located on Mountain Ave and Foothill Blvd, the soutwest corner shopping center near Stater Bros. She has been here before, but this was my first time. It is a clean place outside and inside. The people working here seemed very nice. My daughter ordered the chicken pho, and I had the grilled beef rice plate. Our dishes were excellent. They were perfectly cooked and portioned well for the cost. We also ordered two large Thai iced teas. We love this! It was a lovely afternoon lunch. We were not hurried and spent great quality time together here! One of Upland's finest police officers was eating lunch here, too. So we were well guarded, lol. I will definitely come back here to try other items. Hope you give them a try also! read more
