We hired Hanover to install luxury vinyl floors in our kitchen and laundry room to match the job they did in other parts of our home in 2020. When we went to the showroom to discuss the flooring, we found out that Hanover also remodels kitchen and bathrooms. We met with their designer (Jessica) and were pleasantly surprised with the plans and the price was reasonable (they were the best quote out of 4 companies). We were impressed with the contractors and technicians that worked in our home and felt as if they treated our home as their home. The Project Manager (Nicole) was easy to work with and immediately handled any and all questions we had during the remodel. I would ask that if you are looking at Hanover for flooring and/or bathroom remodeling, please find another company because if you go with Hanover you will not be satisfied. The quality of the end product would rate about a 1 1/2 star but getting to the end product would rate a zero star. From Hanover we got a closet floor installation and bathroom remodel (turning a bathtub into a walk in shower). The communication with the company was horrendous. We never knew when a tech or contractor was coming and sometimes the notice that someone was coming would come the night before they came. We would go days without hearing anything and most times would not get our messages answered. This project was started mid-May and was completed in July after several reworking the grouting and disagreements on the construction flaws. Not even mentioning the pipe in the floor that they cracked and had to replace. The only time you will get on-time communication from them is when it is time to pay. If you have a discrepancy it will be addressed either days after your notifying them of the discrepancy or not at all. You will be highly disappointed if you go into business with Hanover. I really wish I could give them lower than a 1 star because they don't deserve a 1 star. read more

The puppy is now two years old and the carpet in our bedroom is much older than that. I sent a request via email and got a response from Madison. Within a few days, she came to measure our carpet and I was in touch with the store when the product was delivered. The installation manager has been very communicative with us during the whole process. He reached out to let me know that the carpet was ordered as well as letting me know that it was received in the shop. Once that was done, we scheduled an installation within two days. Geraldo and Tom came to our house spent hours putting this beautiful new Karastan carpet down. The carpet is beautiful. The pricing is fair. The workmanship is spectacular. We've used Hanover twice for flooring. Pros were they were able to do the job pretty quickly and we wanted it done before the holidays. But most the install was not great. We spend 8k on carpets. They were supposed to fix the creaks in the floor and didn't. By the time the carpet it installed it's too late. The installers also broke a ceiling fan. I reached out to them twice about the broken fan and have yet to hear back. Apparently they are very responsive until they have your money. I could have gotten this level of service from a subcontractor from lowes. read more

Our HVAC broke and leaked water onto our family room carpet while we were out of town for the month, and we had the beat experience using Hanover carpet. Initially we were going to purchase something from Lowe's and have our handyman install the carpet but when we started that process the measurements became tricky, so I reached out to Hanover. The staff were so friendly and understanding. They came to our home ASAP and FaceTimed with carpet swatches, measured the space, and answered all of my questions. Luckily my mom was there to meet them and feel the carpets, but it was so nice for them to accommodate us being out of town. I felt more confident using them than ordering carpeting through Lowe's and in the end the Hanover ended up being cheaper! Ming was delightful to work. She was quick and answered any questions I had regarding the carpet, installation, and warranties. The company even gave a military discount, which we are so thankful for! Our carpet installation took a few hours for a family room area and the installers were friendly and worked as quick as possible. They took care in the placement of our furniture and even pointed out a few tricky parts with connection to our hardwood floors. The result is amazing carpet. I honestly don't know if I've ever had such soft carpet in my life. Now we need to redo all of our rooms because it's like walking on a cloud in our new space. Discussed gaps at end of flooring was not close enough during the installation of the our second installation. He said that was the way it was done. Noticed the new store on Sheldon and was happy to have a store close to Westchase for when I replace my flooring. I recently purchased an antique area rug at an auction and stopped at Hanover for padding but need direction as to what kind of padding to use for real oak hardwood foors. First guy couldnt help me, sent another guy out who said they dont sell padding and REFERRED ME TO THE INTERNET!!!!! I left. I had the best experience here. My dog was having surgery and I needed something to line my tile floors. Though the place looks expensive from the outside, I took a chance and popped in. I was greeted at the front desk and told them my situation. They knew exactly what would work best for me and gave me a few options. I got a nice, soft carpet that I could use for less than I would've been charged for rough industrial carpet at another place. When I went to pick it up (since it was a small about), they brought it out to the car for me and wished me luck on my dog's surgery. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL! Jim the owner likes to "pad" the measurements.. which means that he measures in his favor.. not yours. I know this because I got wood floors years ago from him which were okay.. then years later I pulled out my bill when another contractor came to measure and the new contractor measured 25% less than Jim and his crew. for the same area. HMMM... Yup.. scary. Watch how he measures and re check it yourself. He will cheat you any way he can. And make you pay more. After going back and forth with complications from two local big box companies I decided to give Hanover a call. From the moment my husband and I spoke to Alain we knew this would be a great fit! We were right! The entire process was flawless. There were several "in-stock" wood floorings and carpet/pad selections that were all very budget friendly. A concept that seems to challenge HomeDepot and Lowe's. We went from stopping by the store to installation in only 4 days! The wood floor team and the carpet team were all very courteous and professional.. constantly cleaning up after themselves. The floors are gorgeous and the carpet is beautiful and soft. AVOID! We spent a significant amount of time picking out beautiful items at Hanover with a designer for our newly constructed home. She (Debbie) was great in person but email and phone was not as reliable of a method. She had poor communication and we had to repeatedly follow up to get answers to our questions and requests for quotes. The installation part was very, very disappointing. The tile work looked like a do it yourself project gone awry. When we spoke to our contractor about it he then referred us back to Hanover. It's been a very frustrating process to get them to redo this shoddy work. We paid lots of money for beautiful tiles and engineered hardwood floors. The tile was poorly aligned with significant lippage throughout the shower with grout missing, chipping, and discoloration. The chipped, wood flooring panels shouldn't be installed nor should subfloor be showing because panels were too small or shifted. The people are nice at Hanover but the workers hired are not qualified to properly install the materials. Avoid this company! Debbie is just a glorified sales woman. We found them by coincidence from an ad on the radio and decided to drop by after 6 months of looking for the right kind of floor for our home. I want to start off by saying that when I got my first job done by this company it went well but there help wear a lot of hats and that's where I start having issues. My second job was a different story. Before they started there were a few miscommunications and we told them to cancel the job. It was only then they called us back and that was when we asked for 10 % off our job. We had to follow up with them about everything which should not happen with a reputable company. The sales rep mike who is a nice guy would tell us one thing, then the management would tell us something different. They charged us 120 for a plumber but then had the installer who told us he is no a plumber put the toilet back in and would not refund us that amount. When we called Hanover, there explanation was that it's under warranty if there is a leak. I don't believe that anybody who spendS good money on a project wants a tile installer putting back our plumbing. Our sales rep also said we will have a cleaning person come within completion to clean up. A gentleman named Russ said that cleanings only happen for big jobs and not small jobs. It was only after we told them our salesman said we would get it, that they said they would send someone. I almost feel they will say what it takes to get the job. We have spent over 10k and referred two families to Hanover and felt that's not how you should treat somebody whether I spent $100 or $10000. I would recommend that if you do business with this company, that you get everything in writing and get a couple quotes. Unfortunately, we will not be using them for our master bath. We recently had our old hardwood floors removed and replaced with new wood. From the Sales with Alain Blue to the installation, the process was smooth one. The project was bigger than we imagined however the crew at Hanover Carpet worked with us and did an amazing job. The rip out crew has great, cleaning up at the end of each day. They also laid the new floors and did an excellent job. Then the finishing carpenter came in and did a wonderful job. We had one area that just didn't look right so the owner, Jim came to our house 3 times working on it until he got it perfect! We will use them again when it's time to replace our living room carpet. He came out to our house and brought the samples and helped us find the best look for our home. He and their designer even helped me choose a new paint color. I bought a new home and was impressed with the quality of the wood floor they installed, so I reached out to them to get carpet installed in my old home before putting it on the market. Every single person I spoke with or encountered - from the people on the phones to the managers to the techs - were polite and professional. They came out with samples (I live quite far from their showroom), installation was FAST and reasonably priced, carpet is beautiful. I had a small issue with my bi-fold closet doors coming off their hinges after they left (they had to remove the hardware to install the carpet), and the techs we back the following day to take care of it... again, everyone super polite and professional. My husband and I stopped by the showroom late on Saturday a couple of weeks ago and spoke with Doug Morgan. He was really very nice and showed up samples of flooring wherein we would be able to make a selection for two rooms in our home. He said that he would bring the selections to our home so that we would be sure the colors would match our color scheme. Finally, he was anxious to leave for the day because he was having new carpet installed in his home. He gave my husband his cell number and said to call him the following Monday or Tuesday since he was off both days to set up a time and date. Not sure why he did not ask us to call the store. He asked us to leave a message and he would call back to set a time to visit our home. Well, we called his cell, left a message and never heard back. We have been waiting 2 weeks to hear from Doug. The store is very nice and has a wide selection of products and we liked what we'd chosen. We were definitely ready to purchase because the price seems to have been within our budget. However, dealing with a salesperson like Doug is disheartening. Very, very, poor customer service and gives a negative impression about Hanover. I am sure it's not the store but workers can create a negative when integrity is not displayed. Doug definitely has no integrity. read more
