Was told they could come to fix it ,but when I called was told you don't have a appointment this happen several times or that the insurance need to ok the work. CINCH is the home warranty company also was given the run around and lies. Today Jan 9 was able to get a response plumbing company to come. Because of them had water damage and payed 5000.00 to have it clean up. I have no sink, floor tile and 1/2 of my walls are missing because of the water damage. read more

We were assigned Ikmar Plumbing through our home warranty. I was a bit nervous at first to see all the negative reviews, but we luckily had a positive experience. We had a leaking kitchen sink faucet. We thought it was just the hose, but the man who came out said the whole thing needed replacing. He quickly went to Lowe's, got a new faucet, and installed it in 20 minutes. The faucet isn't the best quality, but was equivalent to what we had. It was probably an original faucet from the first owners 20 years ago, so regardless, it's an upgrade! Seems like most people have issues with them working on their water heaters. Luckily, for a simpler job like this, it wasn't bad! read more

Never again! Horrible experience! We noticed our water heater was leaking on 10/15. We have a home warranty we pay for each year, so my hubby put in a service call. Ikmar called me the next day. Their first available appointment was 10/21 between 8-1. Thankfully our daughter was able to be here for them since we had to work. Turned out the water heater had to be replaced. No surprise as it was old. They called my husband to let him know it couldn't be replaced like for like. We were going to have to pay over $480 for new electrical wiring ins of our normal $79. My husband approved the cost. After a week of not hear anything, my hubby called them. They said they were waiting on approval from our warranty company and us, so he approved our portion again. The following week they called me to approve our portion. I approved it for the third time. They said they were going to place the order for the water heater & would call when it came in. After hubby calling multiple times he was told the order had not been placed a week later. Again they were going to place the order & call when it came in. Another follow up call from hubby as we are now at a month of waiting. They were still waiting on the water heater. Contact with one person said the water heater was not ordered. The other person said it had been ordered. No two answers were the same. They finally called me 11/20. The water heater was in & they wanted the $480 before they would schedule the installation. I let them know I didn't want to pay before the work was completed. They would not schedule without my paying first. Against my better judgment, I reluctantly paid. The first available appointment was 11/26. That is our deceased son's birthday which is never a good day for me, but no way I was going to turn the appointment down. Okay, 11/26 between 8-1 & they would text me when they were on their way. I set my alarm for 8:00 & waited. No text came. However, they did show up closer to 1:00. The water heater is installed & working. Thank God it hung in there & didn't stop working as there was no way we could have gone without a water heater for over a month. Never again warranty or not! Terrible experience. Our home warranty company (AHS) uses this company. It's been over a week with no water heater because they're "ordering parts." I also had an appointment time auto scheduled on a Sunday when they're apparently closed. So I was waiting around the whole day with no one showing up. Such horrible service!!! This company was assigned by my home warranty company to take care of a cartridge leak in my bathroom shower. Initially the technician visited to diagnose and said his office will order the part and he will come to replace it One month passed, I kept on calling no response and then they closed the ticket saying part is not available. Went back to my home warranty and they said no we will call them back again. Another technician came saying OK we will order the part from phoenix and fix it. Now almost 2 1/2 months have passed, they are still waiting for the part. When I call Ikmar for status, they disconnect after putting me on hold for a long time. No ETA when they would fix the issue. read more

BEWARE!! Unfortunately, this was one of the worst company we have ever worked with. Ikmar Plumbing was assigned by my home warranty company (American Home Shield) to address an active bathroom leak feeding the toilet. They did not come out for several weeks, during which time we had to manually manage the leak multiple times per day. When they finally arrived, they said there was no leak and instead blamed high water pressure, reporting this back to the warranty company. The leak continued. After many attempts to address the water pressure regulator, the installation was still not done correctly. On what looked like the final attempt, they connected PVC piping where copper was required. They left without properly checking whether the installation was holding. I was not surprized that that their installation was leaking. At that point, we had no choice but to hire our own licensed plumber, who confirmed the installation was incorrect and had to reinstall the pressure regulator all over again. This cost us $550 out of pocket. Overall, the work was poorly executed, communication was frustrating, and the situation dragged on far longer than necessary. I would strongly recommend requesting a different vendor if your home warranty assigns Ikmar Plumbing to your service call. read more

46 Days Without Hot Water - Experience With IKMAR Plumbing I'm sharing my experience with IKMAR Plumbing regarding a tankless water heater issue. My home in Spring Valley has been without hot water since 11 October 2025. The company visited on 7 November and informed me that parts would be ordered. As of 25 November, I have not received any update on when those parts will arrive or when the repair will be completed. I have contacted the office several times to request status information. The team members I spoke with were polite, but they were unable to provide details about the repair timeline. An appointment for 17 November appeared in the system but was later confirmed as a scheduling error. With two children at home, this extended delay has been challenging. We had leaks in the plumbing from the outdoor front hose bib area going into the house. We wanted this fixed and used our One Guard Home Warranty, which is $75 for a service call. Scheduling was easy. I had read a number of reviews on Ikmar and was skeptical whether they would do a good job or not. I called One Guard to see if another company could come out. Anyway, One Guard says they do not retain contractors that do not do a good job. So I decided to give Ikmar a chance. They came out as scheduled, 2 men. One was young and spoke both English and Spanish. The older gentleman only spoke Spanish. My Spanish is poor and I communicated some, but shortly afterwards, my husband who speaks fluent Spanish, came out to speak with them. They were not able to do one part of the plumbing as that was considered irrigation and that was not what they were called out to do. They gave us a quote for a different company to come out to do that work, but that is not covered under warranty. We left that alone, as that part of the plumbing wasn't leaking as bad. They submitted their findings to One Guard and the fix got approved. We scheduled another time for them to come out to do the work. They came out and did the work, which took probably an hour or a little less. Things seem to be working great, no leaking. I cannot say for other plumbing things, but for our particular leak which was outdoors, they did a good job. They were professional and courteous, friendly. read more

Where do I start...first had IKMAR come out on a home warranty claim for dripping shower valve...dude did NOT have the tools to pull the shower stem and would have to return...upon return he slapped the parts in and said all was good...it was not...shower started dripping from first use. Tech retuned several days later and said it was due to "high water pressure". Funny that was never talked about before and I'm sure the cross threaded parts are my fault(sarcasm). I am now 3 weeks with a dripping shower and still no resolution. I have escalated to calling my home warranty directly but im sure the tech is trying to run from this job and they are the only company contracted to do my warranty work. It is VERY telling that this company has not claimed or replied to ANY of their reviews. If you have an easy job or a good tech consider your self lucky. read more

At first, it was a bit of phone tag, and we were concerned we wouldn't get service right away since they were backed up. But once I spoke to them and explained the urgency, they went out of their way to squeeze us in the same day. I really appreciated their willingness to accommodate us on short notice. The technician showed up as promised, was professional, and got the job done efficiently. They helped resolve what could have turned into a bigger mess. This company has been terrible to deal with. It appears that the company is headquartered in AZ and just contracts out plumbers in other cities. I'm in CA. They were assigned to me via AHS Home Warranty to fix a faucet in the bathtub a month ago. To this day, the faucet has not been fixed. The plumber came and took out the cartridge, and said they would order a new one and schedule an appointment. A week and a half later, I was told that the distributor shipped the wrong cartridge. Then I was told that they can't find the exact one they need and would have to change the whole assembly and would need to make new holes which would only partially be covered by AHS. All this is frustrating but would have been tolerable if their day-to-day customer service was not so bad. I had several really bad experiences with their phone customer service: (1) They routinely have a hold time of 5-10 minutes and then the representative picks up and puts you on hold again. By the time you tell them you can't wait, they've already started the music. There is no option to hang up and have them call you back. (2) They schedule appointments a week out, and then (after you have canceled your work meetings) they change the time window on you (3) They once canceled the appointment the day before it was scheduled, after I took time off from work, because they realized they had the wrong part. (4) Upon my request, they once said they will call back and leave a message but they didn't do so. (5) They never acknowledge fault, blaming the distributor for sending the wrong part, or the phone line for dropping after the customer has held for a long time. I would give zero stars if I could. If they are assigned to you by your Home Warranty company, you can consider asking for a change. Unfortunately, I've sunk way too much time into this to back out and call a handyman, but I might still do that. read more

American Homeshield connected us to Ikmar Plumbing because a switch on our water heater broke. They acknowledged that the part needed replacing. And then it took 27 days until they put in an order for the part. So we were out of warm water for almost 6 weeks because this company was not able to procure a basic replacement part in a timely manner. I would not choose them if I had a choice. read more

IKMAR plumbing is really bad: At first someone showed up to inspect a leak in the garage. First he shook the wrong pipe to check the leak. It started leaking, then he recorded a video of the "leak", then fixed that leak and told me the job is done. When I told him this is not the actual leak, then he decided to go into the crawl area and he confirmed the leak. Since he went there the leak got worse. After he sent his report they gave me an estimate that I paid. Then called for an appointment. They gave me appointment for March 3, but instead of March 3 their email said Feb 3 (in the past). I called them on March 3, the call got disconnected and they silently changed the appointment to Mar 10th without telling me. I called again then they told me they are changing the appointment. I told them it needs to be today. After holding the phone for a while, they told me they will give me a call back. If they messed up the appointment, they should send someone urgently. The leak is causing damage but they don't care. Warranty is through AHS. Update: They did not call me back. read more

My reviews are similar to others. This is one of the unprofessional companies I have seen. They have a website which says how far their plumber is away. It kept on saying they were five minutes away for about two hours. I called the office and they had no idea but they stated they would call back. They did not. I called about an hour later and they stated that work order was cancelled by American home shield. That was strange. We called American home shield and they stated they got a diagnosis from them but they could not see the report. They stated the plumber did come by when no one did. I am not sure why American home shield uses this company. The better business bureau should take away their plumbing license so they cannot do business anymore. read more

The most ridiculous plumbing company ever. AHS sent them out to fix my garbage disposal, which was a standard insinkerator and they tried to replace it with a cheap plastic one and AHS told them all they need to do is submit a diagnostic. They wouldn't and I have to follow up nonstop without a functional kitchen. They are also supposed to fix the toilet but they sent a technician who can barely speak english. He walked away with the toilet still leaking because there is no notes. There's no option for zero star otherwise it should be negative star. read more

Ikmar Plumbing was dispatched through my home warranty for a recurring kitchen sink backup. I clearly explained that a standard snake wouldn't reach the blockage and asked them to bring a longer snake or another solution. I first contacted them on October 2, 2025, and the earliest appointment was October 7. The technician arrived with only a standard snake, which - as expected - did not fix the problem. He said they'd need to return with a hydrojet and collected $200 out of pocket from me, promising to come back. Since then, Ikmar Plumbing has no-called and no-showed two scheduled appointments, even confirming by phone before the last missed visit that the technician was "on the way." It's now been two weeks without a working kitchen sink, I'm out $200, and the issue remains unresolved. Extremely unprofessional experience. read more

Extremely bad service. My water heater is still not fixed after two months since Ikmar Plumbing was hired first. They don't have enough tax available to schedule prompt service. My service was scheduled three weeks out to replace the water heater on February 10 now they called me saying they don't have a tech available again and want to reschedule. Stay away from this company. They lie, cheat and so far have stolen $1k from us. They charged us the $1k to be able to set an appointment for them to come out and replace our water heater. We'll it's been over a week of them saying they are coming and not showing up. We have been without hot water this whole time. Also they said we have major water damage and they will send a contractor to give us a quote. The "contractor" comes and says it will be between $5-$6k to fix water damage. Come to find out and they don't tell you this but the contractor is also the owner of the plumbing company. So much more to say about this terrible company but I already have a headache sitting here at 3pm when they said they would be here first thing in the morning. read more

I was assigned to this company by my home warranty. I was told on Friday that if I didn't receive a call from them that day to call them. To be fair I did call on Saturday morning as they were open till noon. I merely wanted to check on when they would be calling. Again I realized it was Saturday so I only wanted to talk to someone. I phoned and sat on the line for quite a bit, probably 10 minutes and a note appeared on my phone do you want to be notified when it is time to pick up the phone. I chose to stay on the line. After another 5-10 minutes I got a real person who asked if I could hold ... I said yes. After another 10 15 minutes I heard the dreaded beep beep signifying they dropped my call. I re called and after about a 5 minutes I heard they dreaded beep beep again. I called my home warranty company and requested a new contractor. I refuse to do business with someone who obviously is too busy to take my call. read more

We have never experienced such poor attitude and disrespect from a company that was paid to do a service. He was rude and angry while taking out our water heater, then refused to install the new one. After 3 weeks of trying to get them to do a simple shower valve replaced and Toitet fluid master replace, they couldn't do the job. I used their service through AHS home warranty. For kitchen faucet leaking, they didn't do it well on the 1st time, and I had to call them back. But the fix only lasted 45 days before I found it leaking again. Interestingly their warranty for the repair is 30 days! Avoid them if you want your plumb work lasting more than 30 days. read more

We were assigned Ikmar plumbing through our home warranty (AHS) for a leaking shower faucet. The Plumber they sent spoke no English and left without any repairs or discussing with me. When I called the office they suggested another Repair without explaining any rationale. I went ahead and scheduled their recommendation and they made me pay ahead of time ($550), then the plumber did not show up for the scheduled appointment. When I called to ask about the ETA, they said the plumber was in a car accident and they weren't able to schedule for several more weeks. I canceled the appointment and request requested a refund and have still not received the refund after two weeks. I will never work with this company again. read more

Ikmar did not have the expertise to repair or replace my hardwired unit. They did not explain why my existing electrical outlet is not sufficient. They delayed submitting a report to AHS for over two weeks, so there is still no estimate for completion, nor has Ikmar been proactive in making sure the job gets complete. read more

1 Star - Very Disappointed with Ikmar Plumbing and American Home Shield I'm extremely disappointed with both Ikmar Plumbing and American Home Shield. Ikmar gave me a five-hour service window, then emailed me only twenty minutes before arriving--and refused to wait just a few minutes for me to get home. When I reached out, their customer service was unhelpful and argumentative, insisting that I was fully responsible instead of trying to resolve the issue. American Home Shield, my warranty company, wasn't any better. They consistently side with their vendors instead of the paying customers who actually keep their business running. Even after explaining the situation, they defended Ikmar and offered no real help or accountability. In the end, I fixed my own toilet in under fifteen minutes, which says a lot about the kind of "service" I was supposed to receive. Ikmar Plumbing has many similar complaints online, but American Home Shield seems to ignore them, claiming they rely on their own internal rating system. Bottom line: Poor communication, zero accountability, and terrible customer service from both companies. I wouldn't recommend either to anyone. read more

They gave me an appointment a week out, the plumber came did nothing, he said i need to order parts. 2 weeks in they still have not called AHS to get it approved. I informed AHS that the plumbing company is VERY unprofessional, AHS said i have to stick with them since they are assigned to me. I have been calling AHS every day and IKMAR Plumbing they consistently keep me on hold and NEVER call back. IT's been almost a month, and they are YET to fix it they have not even gotten InTouch with AHS to get the approval. If your home warranty company has put you in touch with this business, call your home warranty company and ask for a change. They came to my house for a water heater issue, tried replacing thermostat and mentioned the circuit is burnt so they will replace the water heater, with a $410 out of pocket because lines need to be replaced. This sounded off so I cashed out of my insurance, called another plumber, he replaced heating element, and thermostat that these guys already replaced and guess what? The water heater worked. Later realised that the thermostat that these guys replaced was faulty as well to milk the warranty company off a new heater and me of $410. Stay away from these scammers. read more
