The bartender I didn't get his name but he made us a South Korea drink the presentation alone was 10/10 the spicy mussel soup was phenomenal has squid and cabbage in it too perfect heat HUGE PORTION we shared it I admire that we were treated like we were there at open yet it was the last hour before close! I will eat here again large ambiance and very clean! Doesn't sell liquor but nice beer selection. Can't wait to return I recommend!!!
3rd time at Hanshin Pocha. I always enjoy my food here, but I always get the same thing (see pictures). My friends who came with me (first timers) thought their food was just okay. I tried my friend's seafood noodle dish and it tasted great to me. Her comment about it was it's messy to eat because of the shell on the shrimp and mussels. The servers are always nice. I like that they have a ringer in case you need anything from the server, so they don't have to keep checking on you. Hanshin has a bar vibe but it's honestly pretty family friendly. It's very spacious too.
Definitely has been a spot I have wanted to try out since my recent Korea trip. It was such a perfect environment with plenty of Kpop bumping and great Korean bar food to enjoy. On top of that the service was great and very inviting We got the Soy Garlic Korean fried chicken that was so delicious and a good sized portion that can be shared between three or four people easily. It's that great KFC crunch that very juicy! We got the Spicy pork with cheese that really brought me back to eating Dak Galbi in Seoul. I would recommend getting a side of noodles to mix it all together. That took the dish to a whole new level. The spice of the pork and the cheese with the noodles made it such a solid dish Once again, this place is great for awesome Korean bar food and has a very fun environment. Also it's open late too! If you love Korean food, you will love this place
Came to meet up with a friend for dinner on a weekday and it wasn't very busy so we were quickly seated. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they had a button on the table to call them over whenever you needed something. We got the grilled soy and butter squid, seafood pancake, and bugolgi hot pot. The grilled squid was our favorite part of the meal, the flavor was very umami, slight sweet, and very buttery. The texture of the squid was tender too and not chewy. The other two dishes were just okay though, the seafood wasn't really mixed into the pancake and more-so placed on top, which I think led to it being a little dry and chewy. This also made the seafood fall off as you were eating it. As for the bulgogi hot pot, the soup was just a little too sweet for our liking.
Went here with some peeps! This place was cool, got here as soon as they opened. Nice open seating, not crowded. Our waiter greeted us at the door, he was very kind and happy and talkative, he made this experience a whole lot more relaxing! I honestly don't know what we ordered, I seen the grilled squid and requested that, we all sort of ordered whatever and shared it. The kimchi fried rice was bomb! Of course we got some Lychee soju, numerous bottles lol. This place was chill, I look forward to coming back!!
We came here with friends and had an amazing time! The space is large, clean, and fun. They play kpop music with their televisions showing girl groups and boy groups dancing. I love it. Service was excellent and I love that they have the call button at each table so you're not having to wave someone down. We got the chicken with cheese, rolled cheese omelet, rice balls, odeng soup, and gizzards. We enjoyed every dish and would definitely come back again!
I go here all the time, and that's not an exaggeration. I love it here. The food, service, and vibes are awesome. It's great that they're one of the few late night open spots. Go with friends, drink some soju, and eat some delicious food. Some of my favorites are the whole fried chicken, green onion chicken, carbonara tteobokki, diy rice balls, whole grilled squid, LA galbi.
My fiancé and I came on a casual Tuesday night and we met CJ (manager) as our waiter and had the quickest service possible. The food came out delicious and hot in no time. The pork cheese and teok is our favorite combo on this earth. We were convinced to try Korea's new beer, Krush. It is similar to a Modelo or heavy coors beer. We enjoyed two beers and the manager offered one on the house! The environment was clean and the neon lights added chill night vibes. We will be back!
I love this place, Very spicy, beware but in the best way! I've come here for the late night munchies twice now and it doesn't disappoint! There are tons of layers of flavor in the dishes you can taste the effort. I got the tteoboki and the kimchi stew. It was so amazing the perfect amount of sweetness, saltiness and ingredients added into each dish. I would not skip on the tteoboki especially, I loved it. The service was great too, we come here late and the girls were so nice and welcoming! The inside of the place is very open, with a neon street ambiance. It's definitely a cool place to see.

We tried Hanshin Pocha and ordered the pork cheese fondue, bulgogi hot pot, seafood chive pancake, and donkatsu. The food itself was just okay--nothing really stood out, but it wasn't bad either. The biggest issue we had was with the pacing of service. Our main dishes came out first, and it seemed like the kitchen forgot to put in our seafood chive pancake order. We followed up when we were already nearly done eating and asked to cancel it, but they still brought it out and didn't accommodate the request. It made the meal feel a bit disorganized and rushed at the end. Overall, an average experience--fine for a casual night out, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.
Wowie, this place is delicious! So many restaurants around here have only one or two tasty items on the menu but every time I come here I try something new & it's delicious. The music is fun & they play music videos with interesting visuals. The staff has always been friendly & solicitous for all my visits.
Amazing vibes, ridiculously delicious food, and late night lounging. I rolled in with some friends and fam around 1 for some late night grubbing and unwinding after a long day out and about. The ambiance is nice and dimly lit and music not overly loud. They seated us in a booth for 4 and I liked how it had walls surrounding it so our party felt a little bit more private. I didn't get a chance to get the whole fried chicken but will be back for it. Instead I got the steamed egg, Korean pancake, pork and cheese, and seafood soup. The steamed egg came out boiling, the texture was soft and fluffy and the broth was flavorful. The pancake had lots of meat and was peppery. The pork with cheese dip was very decadent and would pair well with rice or noodles of some sort. The seafood soup is also delicious on its own I think noodles or rice again would level it up. The seafood soup although very addicting, added up in spice but nothing that some beer couldn't help with. Oh yea, remember to also use the button at your table for any service. It was my first time here at Hanshin Pocha and I had high hopes of their foods being good from the reviews that I saw. unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. We ordered the tteokbokki, the seafood stir fry crispy noodles and the crispy chicken (touchy maneul). Out of the three, seafood stir fry was the best. The chicken was pretty sweet and the tteokbokki was very soupy and oily with hardly any ingredients in it. After leaving the restaurant, I had the urge of wanting to drink lots of water. So glad I decided to drop in here when staying at the Renaissance Marriott down the street. I was dining solo, even so I was giving great service. I am a lover of Korean food and this place delivered! I had the Tteokbokki which was amazing! The spice level was on point and all the ingredients (boiled egg, pork, fish cakes, and two other items which I'm unsure of) were delicious! So glad I decided to come here instead of a few of the other places around. Will definitely be back! read more
Ambiance: As soon as we walked in it felt like a night club. Loud music and people dancing around their tables to the hottest K-Pop songs. It was definitely loud. At one point one of their bartenders was blowing fire from his mouth at the bar lol definitely wasn't expecting that. Dinner and a show. Great place to pound Soju and be loud AF. Service: They don't check on you often, but it makes sense cause there is a button at your table you push to order or get their attention. I felt that service for me was mid. I ordered a coke and they forgot about it until I asked for it. Just didn't seem as friendly compared to other places I've gone. Food: Definitely a hit or miss. The grilled squid was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The whole table devoured it quickly. The whole chicken had a great crunch and wasn't greasy at all which was shocking. Fried rice was really delicious and packed a little spicy kick to it. I think the worst dish for me was the pork with cheese which the cheese was burnt and you couldn't even dip the pork barbecue in it lol ( pictures will show you what I meant ) Overall this was my first experience here and it's not a place that would be on the top of my list for Korean food. I decided to come back and try hanshin pocha again. The service was much much quicker this time and the staff was friendly as well (they were friendly last time but just a bit slow as they had just opened). The ambiance is nice there is still an unfinished feeling when walking in. I think because the entrance is a bit empty. I think maybe if the floors were epoxied it might pull everything together a bit more as well. I feel the food is just slightly over priced as well at maybe $2-3 cheaper per main dish would be a great spot. read more

I've been here two times now and plan to go again, and hopefully soon! It is reminiscent of the Korean street food restaurants in LA...because there is a Hanshin Pocha there too! I definitely recommend coming with 3-4 people and sharing at least 4 dishes. Each dish is meant to be shared and not very suitable for one person, as the portions are large. One thing I consistently order is the Sunsal Chicken. It is boneless chicken perfectly battered with a good flavor, paired with seasoned fries. I have also enjoyed the DIY rice balls as they are a good mix with some of the spicier menu items. I love the Tomato Sauce Gyeran-Mari as well and have ordered it both times I came. Its super addictive and the tomato sauce has a pleasant, tangy flavor that mixes well with the cheese. It definitely can get busy and a bit noisy on the weekends, so if you plan on having a deep conversation you may want to do that before or after coming in! They play great music and include strobing lights situated by the bar, which is a nice touch to the theme of the restaurant. Every staff member has been attentive and friendly. You can call for assistance with a button on each table, and usually the service is quite fast unless they're particularly busy. If you love Korean street food in a relaxed, hip environment, stop by Hanshin Pocha on the weekend! You'll leave with a happy tummy. read more

This is a really fun restaurant that my boyfriend and I tried one night for dinner. It offers Korean Street food in a nice ambience was cool vibes. It feels like a really fun spot to go out with friends late at night or even grab a bite to eat after a night of going out. For the food, we ended up ordering: Melted Cheese Pork Belly - amazing cheese pull, great flavor. A bit greasy, and heavier as a dish, perfect for soaking up alcohol at the end of the night. If you're looking for something light, I would try some of other menu items. Whole Chicken- this was the main reason we wanted to check this place out, the chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was incredible and we really enjoyed this dish. Pur Fried Rice- nothing special, basic Korean fried rice, although a little too spicy for our taste. It was helpful to cut it through with the free cabbage slaw that they provided with our meal. read more

IMPECCABLE KPOP PLAYLIST VIBES. I live in california and have a ton of these Korean pub places around. However, this one takes the crown in Arizona. Why? Best music mix of throwbacks and new songs for all the old Gen fans. Additionally the service was amazing. It's no secret that Korean places can be known for "service" or free perks and such, but this staff was actually so so sweet and nice. Our server was Hayley and Jay but the owner did come by a few times as well! They also gave us free soju bottles and sweet snacks at the end. I recommend the pork belly with cheese and gochujang sauce. SO savory and I couldn't stop eating it. Literally. Like I think I ate half the plate and there were four of us. Another great edition to the East Valley. I've heard great things regarding with the other locations so I wanted to give it a shot. The pork belly and cheese is a must order. I think it's a great starter to have alongside fried chicken. With that being said the service was great and I can see this place getting great traffic. I wish there was more variety on the menu and open later. I think AZ can use more places open past midnight for this type of food read more

This place opened up very close to me so, had to give it a try. WOW! That's my first ever WOW in a comment, ever! Large portions, great flavors and staff very pleasant and helpful. The seafood with noodles was amazing! Lots of shrimp, muscles, squid and octopus. The sauce was mind blowing! The pork with cheese was great. Need to eat fairly fast or the cheese will solidify. The Kimchee was kind of like 'Army stew'. It had hotdog like sausage and spam like ham. Flavor was excellent. Fairly spicy but, not too much. Then the whole squid. Menu description said "Large and chewy", and it was. Not in a bad way, though. It wasn't like eating rubber bands. Very dense and firm and the sauce was great. I will definitely be back! Woah! The food came out looking exactly like the pictures! We ordered many dishes and all tasted great. We especially loved the DIY riceball and pork with cheese. The servers were all really friendly and handsome. My mom might or might not have pressed the server call button many many times, so they could come to our table more often hehe. Came here one night and at first the place seemed pretty empty but then slowly filled up as we were eating. We ordered the pork with cheese a d the fried rice. Everything tasted really good and had a good amount of heat and flavor. The only one downside was that the pork and cheese plate did not come with its own heating device. Therefore after a few minutes the cheese solidify and it was just too hard and pleasant to eat it that was afterwards. Pur fried rice actually came with a portable stove so I wish that was switched out. But then again everything was delicious! read more

The best dish of spicy chicken I've EVER had seriously. Perfectly seasoned and slice level was on point though you wouldn't think it to be as spicy until it comes from behind and says "BOO!" Absolutely delicious! The service here is rare to the utmost positive way possible. Why can't other restaurants be more like here? Korean (World Renowned) chef, Mr. Park. I can't believe he's reached his talent into Phoenix! Amazing chef, down to earth and wholesome kind of chef. He has several Netflix specials that are definitely worth watching at least once! Great find for a fun atmosphere but maybe a bit too loud or busy for some. The food was absolutely amazing though. We had the melted cheese pork belly and they were crisp yet juicy, pared great with the cheese. The chicken thighs were also savory nice toppings of onions and crunch but the sauce for dipping was a great complement. Definitely going back read more
Phoenix definitely needed a quality Korean bar/restaurant like Hanshin Pocha! We went there mainly for food. Every dish we ordered was amazing. We especially loved the tomato sauce Gyeran-Mari (omelette) and Ojingeo Ganjang Butter Gui (butter squid). The DIY rice ball was a great side to these dishes but are also flavorful enough to be eaten by itself. Portions are generous and bigger than what those little pictures on the menu suggest. Service and vibes were great as well. You can call for service by pressing a call button at your table and any server will come to you in seconds. Being open late at night is a big plus! read more

Definitely recommend checking this place out, we order some great plates to share for 4-5 people. The Grilled squid, the Fried chicken bites with fries, along with the chicken thighs and a Whole fried chicken. Everything was on point and tasted amazing, their fried chicken was so crispy & tender, if you are in the mood for fried chicken...this is the spot I was in love with the first bite Also, customer service was amazing, we placed an order over the phone for pick-up and when we arrived they had a small mix-up but was resolved by the sweet hostess. The best place ever! They have a whole fried chicken that is so tender and juicy that they break it in front of you. The pork belly with cheese is a must! Then put steamed rice in the pan with it. Then there's all the soju. It turns into a night club setting with all the lights! So much fun! Bathrooms are clean and high-tech. Staff is great. You press the button when you're ready to order. The service here was amazing! I wish I would have caught our waitress's name but she was so accommodating and so sweet! There was also another guy there with blonde hair and he was so professional! I love their food so much. This is the perfect spot for a casual night out with your friends- the food here is meant to be shared while drinking! I ordered their chicken with onions and it was soooo amazing. I was so amazed at how crispy and juicy the chicken was. I also ordered the kimchi stew which was spicy and filled to the brim with kimchi and sausage and pork slices! The enviornment here was also so fun! read more
Best K-Pop Bar I have experienced in Arizona. The recent update to the sound system was a welcome surprise I experienced while visiting Memorial Day weekend. The spicy pork with corn cheese is SPICY, it did not disappoint and the potstickers were very good too! They have a good beer and mixed drink selection but since I was the designated driver I had to skip the cocktail options but next time I'm sure I'll make up for it! read more

Came with a big group, but no reservation was needed, there was plenty of seating! The food here was really delicious! I especially liked the spam and egg plate. But it was kinda dark and loud so it was hard to talk with our friends. Prices are very reasonable, we got a bunch of different items to share family style! read more

I love it here at Hanshin! My friends and I come pretty often, and the staff is always very friendly and sweet, and really great service. The food also comes out pretty fast and is very tasty! The staff also recognizes us and sometimes gives us complimentary drinks which is so nice definitely one of my all time favorite places to drink/eat! read more
