It's a good entertainment company, HOWEVER if you need to postpone for any reason or make any changes in time, they will stick it up to you with that steep 50% deposit. In our case, we lost $150 deposit for having to change dates due to Covid exposure. We were trying to do the responsible thing to protect everyone, but not only Happily Ever Laughter pockets your deposit money, they won't even consider charging a bit less for this change, considering they are not delivering anything. It seems one sided, if you ask me. I made the mistake to not buy their $30 cancellation insurance because I didn't read that it wouldn't include date changes! This would've been our third time booking them, but will be booking with another company who understands the times we're living in and appreciate regular customers a bit more. I highly recommend Happily Ever After. This is the second time we used their services and it was amazing! My toddler turned 3 and the theme was mermaid. We had Hopper dressed as Ariel! I hired this company for my son's 5th birthday party. The entertainer was supposed to do a magic show, face painting and balloon animals. The magic show was terrible. It was pretty much a finger puppet show. The performer couldn't keep the kids attention with the magic show......most of them ended up back in the bounce house. At this point I felt bad for the performer, but we moved on to face painting and I figured this would be a great way for her to redeem herself and get the kids back with the program. I was wrong! She only gave the kids 4 options for face painting.....rainbow, shooting star, caterpillar or butterfly. Mind you, this was a dinosaur themed party. The company and the performer were well aware of the theme, so you would think they would have a dinosaur option......maybe even a snake! The balloon animals were more of the same. Only a couple options. She tried making a dinosaur for my son, but it looked nothing like a dinosaur. It was a dog balloon animal. For the amount of money this cost I expected much more. I was extremely embarrassed by the whole thing. All the parents at the party kept telling me how terrible the whole thing was. Also, the performer kept wondering through the house looking for the kids. I really didn't appreciate that and was shocked when some of my guests said she was upstairs in my son's room with some of the kids! Completely unacceptable! I will not be using this company ever again. I'm sure they have other entertainers that are great, but this left a horrific taste in my mouth. We had to move to our rain location and she was so communicative and changed up her original plan to work in the new space and slower kid arrival pace. We had booked Prilla for our 7 year old's Halloween birthday party - and we were surprised when we were told that London would accompany Prilla for no extra charge because there was an opening in her schedule and they were offering it as a free gift! I wasn't sure if we would need two fairies (our party was small - about 12 kids) - but it worked out perfectly and the kids just loved them both! They knew just what to say to get the kids laughing and excited. We had Fairy Cordelia and she did a fantastic job. Her costume was really cool and several parents commented how nice it was.
