I went in for gel nails 2 days before my wedding, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing salon experiences I've ever had. I rarely write reviews, but this was supposed to be a special occasion and I left feeling frustrated and in pain. When she was sanding the tips of my nails to round them out, she went so deep and rough that on some nails it actually split the nail from my finger. I even said "Ow!" during the process, but instead of being more gentle she pressed even harder. She also cut up a lot of my actual skin when she was trying to manicure cuticles only The gel was applied so thick that it looked circular and uneven, and when I asked about it I was told it was because of the "ridges" in my nails -- but it was clear it was just sloppy work of putting a thick layer instead of multiple thin layers of the sheer milky white color I wanted. I have one pretty small ridge on one thumb, and the blotchiness was on every nail. She didn't even cover my whole nail at first. The first quarter of my nails were left bare, and only after asking multiple times did she go back to cover them -- but then the polish ended up all over my skin because there was no attention to detail. The end result looked messy, uneven, and even polka-dotted in spots. When I finally asked her to just remove everything so I could go somewhere else to get it done right, she refused to take responsibility and kept pushing me to pick a different color, blaming my nails instead of her work. She said she would still charge me the full amount just to remove it. I had wanted milky white for my wedding but on the redo she insisted on a more opaque white because she blamed my nails for not being compatible with sheer white. Instead of removing the first gel color and starting over, she used the electric filer to sand it down. It was so bulky that the filing took forever, kept overheating, and literally burned multiple fingers. I kept telling her it hurts and it's burning, and she just told me it's not supposed to hurt and kept going. What makes this even more disappointing is that this wasn't a new hire -- it was the owner. For someone with that level of experience, I expected precision, care, and professionalism, especially for wedding nails. Instead, I have to scramble to get them fixed somewhere else just days before my wedding. If you're looking for clean, professional gel nails that are done with care (and without pain), I cannot recommend this salon.
Ask for Susie she did an amazing job. I came in 30 minutes before closing and left 15 minutes after closing. I got a gel x extension manicure medium length. She did a great job on the almond shape. My cuticles are also very dry and she did a great job being gentle and to not cut me. I was so happy they could accept me so close to closing after being rejected by a few others first because most salons were closing. To say in short, excellent customer service here and they are so kind!
5 stars because the staff there is very kind, the prices are the best (at least for a regular pedicure), and they have massage chairs! For $25, I get to relax in a wonderful massage chair, get a very nice foot massage, and get my toes painted! Such a nice treat for yourself. They did give me the wrong color, so next time I will just double check before they start painting. I will definitely be back.
Best in San Diego! This nail salon & spa is my favorite place in San Diego to get my nails done. They just opened a few months ago and when you walk-in, you are greeted immediately with a warm welcome and genuine smiles from staff members! First impressions are extremely important & when I first came more than a month ago, I knew I found my new GO TO! :) They offer all the services you would need: manicure, pedicure, gel, acrylics, and even gel-x! They also have waxing services. David and Sharon are so wonderful and have helped me numerous times. Both are professionals and are very skilled and detail oriented in their work! :) David has been doing my nails and is very meticulous when it comes to nail designs. Almost any design I find on Instagram that I want to create, he can do! He is honest, patient again, very skilled! Recently, Adeline serviced my mom and I for our pedicures and was very delightful, funny and felt like I've known her for years. Her work is very precise and quick too! Booking: Calling to make an appointment is ideal (like anywhere else) and with them, it's super easy to book. I always pre-book for my appointments. They also accept walk-ins. Cleanliness: Overall, SUPERB and well lit! They play relaxing music and also have a tv playing if you choose to watch while you're getting serviced. Parking: PLENTY of parking spaces. I came here looking for gel-x nails and it's relatively close to my house! I was excited to get new Gel-X since not a lot of shops near me were offering it. The entire thing took less than an hour for a full set. The reason this is 4/5 is mostly because of the lack of opacity in my french tip nails. I got a light blue french tip and noticed that they only put on 1 coat and used acetone to clean it up. After 1 coat of the tip, top coat was already placed on top. I didn't realize this was an issue until I left. It didn't bother me enough to go back, but is enough to warrant -1 star. When I put my hands up, they definitely are see-through on the tips and the line the acetone touched definitely looks feathered and does not look that clean. Lifting has also occurred ear the cuticles, however, I will let that slide since it does happen sometimes. It's a good job, but not a perfect job.

Went to my hair appointment and decided last minute to get a pedicure while I was in the area. I found a nail salon a few doors down and walked in with no appointment. It was pretty dead so there was no wait. The service was okay, I just did white nails. And she didn't really do a clean job on the edges. Typically the nail techs are a little tougher on scrubbing calluses whicn I prefer but she was really light handed. Overall the price was really cheap compared to other salons. And for the price it wasn't bad.

Toes were cut at an unacceptably short length. Skin is exposed and raw from the scraping instead of using acetone to remove excess polish. Possibly there are other technicians that do a better job but I'm not trying to find out, will not go back. Polish Paradise is the spot, just not open on sundays.
My new go-to salon ! This was the first time I visited and it was pretty great. I love how my nails look and I'm so happy I didn't have to spend over $100 Pros Relaxing music Very friendly staff Affordable prices Amazing designs ! Great location (inside a shopping center beside the gym) Cons Not as detailed/ quality pedicures as other spas I've been to other salons that offer champagne and have really satisfying foot massages with your pedicures. While they don't necessarily offer that luxury they have really welcoming staff, affordable prices and tea coffee or water as beverages. I really love the designs on my nails! And how quiet the salon was, I was the only one in there for most of my time there and it was amazing ! I got a deluxe pedicure for only $40 and a fill with design $50 They also offer discounts if you pay using cash. I will definitely be back ! I'm so happy I found this place. read more

Best in San Diego! This nail salon & spa is my favorite place in San Diego to get my nails done. I love you Susan!! She always crushes my nails. I'm always in & out within the hour, and despite how hard I work with my hands my nails don't break anymore after switching to gel. This is my newest set, I bought the stickers from Amazon and brought them in for her to use, despite being busy she took the time to apply and bring my little nail vision to life. & then my California Poppy Orange set got SO many compliments. Fav nail salon, I won't go anywhere else. read more

This is my third time here and the first time David did my nails and they turned out amazing.. Second time, David did my nails and I wanted them longer and coffin instead of almond and white, he didn't make them longer and the coffin shape was different and terrible on each nail. Today, a different man did my nails. Trying to remove my previous set of acrylics he was digging into my nail and I kept telling him that my one nail was hurting a lot when he was digging into it but he just kept going back and doing the same thing.. I really was beginning to wonder if this was his first time doing acrylics. The end results, as you can see in the photos, my nails were left in a terrible state and the 'coffin' shape is horrible and the white paint is very lumpy and uneven. I just called another nail salon to go and get them fixed. Will definitely not be returning here. read more

You get what you pay for, I guess. I took a chance on this new salon after reading such glowing reviews. I was really looking forward to a quality pedicure and opted for the Royal treatment which included several scrubs, extended massage, and specifically listed callus removal because my feet have been taking a lot more pressure while I've been pregnant. I got the combo with a regular manicure (no gel or acrylic- not my style). Normally $59 which sounded great. Pros: Very nice, looks very clean and freshly remodeled, appears to have large color selection although that wasn't a big concern for me today. Very competitive pricing plus the 20% off promotion made it worth a try. Easily booked an appointment with Sharon and didn't have to wait. Self serve water bottle. Simple toenail paint looks neatly done. Cons: There was no remote to work the massage chair, but literally every other chair had one so I'm not sure why they sat me in the only one without even though the rest were unoccupied. I was really disappointed with the "massage" which just felt like regular washing your feet in the shower at home. I wasn't expecting a hardcore professional masseuse, but I this was pretty minimal. Hardly 2 minutes spent on callus removal. I can't believe that counts as a separate service after just applying a callus removal gel and glazing over it with a light sponge (not even pumice). Manicure was a rush job done in the final 10 mins, edges uneven and no cleaning underneath the nail at all. I get it more even at home. I was only asking for a clear coat for the manicure and somehow still was disappointed. Bottom line: Sometimes a good deal is too good to be true. Photos of their nail art and gel/acrylic work look great, but if you're going for anything other than that, I would go elsewhere. read more

Stumbled upon this place after me and my husband ate some food! This place opened up last week, since it 's new they give you 20% off your entire service and is insanely CLEAN, the interior on this place is so beautiful and inviting, DAVID was my nail tech, he was extremely precise and was very detailed with his nail painting. Went in with beautiful long gel nails (done at another location) and decided to give my nails a break and take them off and do nail polish for a couple of months. I honestly couldn't believe how bad she worked on my nails that I had to get up and leave before she put the polish on. Pictures attached are my nails ready to have nail polish on them. All nails scratched up and still have gel on them. None are honed smooth on edges. If I could give this experience a 0 stars I would. What a waste of money and time!!!! Honestly if youre looking for a basic french tip set, dont go here. What a waste of money. You can see around my cuticles the rough edges where she didn't care to file. Every single one of the white tips you can see the brush strokes of the polish on the inner part of the white, not to mention all the polish under my nails. The end of my nails are also super thick and round when i asked for a square french tip. I paid 55 for these but because I tried gel x( which the lady recommended) and she said she gave me a five dollar discount for trying it since thats not what i came in there for and i originally wanted acrylic. If you look at their prices online it says gel x is 55, so really she just lied to me. I had to go here in a rush because my regular girl at a different place is not available at the moment and i regret it. I wish i would of never came here and wasted money. She really didn't even deserve a tip in my opinion. read more

The customer service here will always be unmatched! Between Han, Jonny, and Susan, they will always do their best to take care of you like family. I've been coming here for awhile now, and I've fallen in love with the staff and how they treat their clients and their work. Han always takes great care of my pedicures, and Jonny is the best with my acrylics and shaping my nails. Susan is always there for the best laughs and support.
