My go-to nail salon because of Cindy and Karen. Cindy always does my pedicures and Karen handles my nails. They both have great attention to detail and I feel so comfortable to let them know if I am not liking a color or to fix something. I get regular polish on my toes and they last up to a 3-4 weeks, even through the summer days of beach and pool! I am very particular about my dip manicures and how they look and Karen delivers every time with consistency! They aren't thick and last for the same 3-4 weeks! My wife has been coming to Chroma Nails Lounge $"& Spa in Carmel Mountain Ranch for quite a while, and I've joined her for several pedicures over the past few years. Unfortunately, the quality of my experiences has declined over my last few visits. On this visit, my wife called ahead and asked if they could accommodate two pedicures. We were told to come right over and they could take us immediately. After arriving, we waited about 10 minutes, which wasn't an issue. We were then seated, and our foot baths were filled. My wife's technician began almost immediately, but I sat with my feet soaking for another 10 minutes. I even had to ask someone to turn off my water because it was about to overflow. When my technician finally started, she cut my toe with the nail clippers within the first minute. She applied something to stop the bleeding and continued, but never apologized or checked whether I was okay. The rest of the service felt very rushed. I wasn't asked whether I wanted any upgraded services or a different pedicure package. The massage lasted only a few minutes before I was told we were finished. By then, my wife's pedicure had already been completed and her polish was dry. At checkout, I also had to ask about the loyalty stamp. We paid for two pedicures, but only one stamp was initially offered until my wife requested the bills be separated. For about $40 per pedicure before tip, I expected a more attentive experience. My wife continues to have generally good service here, but as a male customer I've noticed a pattern over several visits where my appointments seem to be handled much more quickly than hers. I can't say why, but the difference has been noticeable enough that I felt it was worth mentioning. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because the salon has the potential to provide a much better experience with a little more attention to consistency and customer care. read more

I usually have a different nail salon I frequent, but when they are too busy for me, I cheat on them occasionally. I tried Chroma once before & it was fine, but my second time here was great. I saw Rose (who I recommend for great pedi massages). She worked quickly but really focused on my massage for me. I asked her do my heels & this woman delivered medium strength the whole massage. I will absolutely ask for Rose again when I come back. This salon has been very busy both times I came, so just prepare a bit for a wait, even if you call in advance or have an appointment. To me, I do not mind waiting a little bit if they are busy, as I get my pedi only when I know I do not have a tight schedule to follow. I would recommend this salon, and I would especially recommend Rose. Bring cash for tips (which I usually fail at doing) or pay tips via Venmo. read more

I think they were tired towards the end of the day. The full set took a lot longer than I thought and maybe it was because I was getting a pedicure as well so the angle of my arms weren't ideal? Idk. Kevin was friendly and nice. Mindful enough to ask if I spoke Vietnamese esp. when another coworker asked why my son did his nails and he thought maybe I heard lol. There's always one in each shop... My nails turned out great but the details underneath the nails get to me since it wasn't cleaned. I would've asked but the worker seemed definitely tired so I just didn't bother. It is hit and miss, depends on the technician... they recently got new people and I feel their quality went down.

Unfortunately, the service and friendliness of staff is subpar. Although regular polish takes time to dry, they rush you to leave and then become upset with you when the polish is ruined on your way out. I also feel they rush the service when they become busy or more "senior" customers come in. They are also misleading in their prices - they don't share that they offer regular pedicures. They present a handout that shows their base pedicure is classic which is an up-charge from a regular pedicure. read more

I got my nails done there - not the best job the gel X was way too thick- very very sloppy. I don't really have time to wait around in these places and two hours of my time should result in nice nails so when one popped off, I was understandably frustrated. I went in to get it repaired and I had to take off of work so so when they told me to wait, I had really had enough. I told him if they couldn't do it then I would like my money back. Not returning. I had the $46 (or $47) pedicure with callus remover, and despite my dissatisfaction, paid a $10 tip. It was a fast, 30-minute pedicure. I am used to callus remover being applied, wrapped, and resting for a bit before a rigorous deplaning. Rather, the product was applied and wiped off in minutes. The massage portion was equally brisk. Did they do the job? Sure... but it was about 1/2 of the time and 1/2 the results of what I typically receive in Poway salons (my two favorites: one near Coffee Bean and the other near Firestone) for the same price. read more

WARING!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR A PEDICURE! THEY WILL BUTCHER YOUR TOE!! Hello, I came for a pedicure this past Friday, the day before i was to leave on a mini vacation for the weekend. I was in the pool Saturday and i was so furious and discusted to see that i had been butchered by your manicurist!! She cut an L shape out of my left big toe!!! Why? Who does that? In all of my 58 years of getting pedicures i have NEVER been butchered when getting a pedicure! I asked to speack to the manager today as i just came home. She had no empathy what so ever! If your manicurists do not speak english or do not understand the customers needs they should NOT BE WORKING THERE!! My whole toenail is ruined! I had a beautiful toenail with no ingrown toenail no discomfert what so ever! No i have a huge l shape chunk whick has been jaggedly cut by your technician! I have been totally butchered! This is my go to spot for the post few years. The recently replaced a lot of their massage chairs as some didn't work so that was nice. It's very bright in here and they have TVs for you to watch while getting your pedicure and the chandeliers are a nice touch. If you spend over a certain amount you can ask for a glass of wine soda or water. One of the things I look for most when getting a pedicure is the cleanliness of the shop. I like that they put the plastic Liners in the bowls before they fill them up. I also see them sterilize the tools, and they open them up out of the package each time. Some of the mail text wear gloves and some don't I think it's just depends on who you get. Obviously some will be better than others when it comes to what you want. My go-to is always just a regular manicure pedicure. The prices aren't super cheap but definitely not over priced for what I get anyway. They have plenty of parking and there is a T.J Maxx across the parking lot, which I sometimes walk to afterwards while waiting for my nails and toes to dry. I will say this place gets extremely busy, if you can I would suggest making an appointment. If at all possible they will usually try to squeeze you in but there could be a wait. They do not take tips on your card so you will either need to have cash or pay the nail tech directly through venmo or cash up depending on what they have. There is an ATM in the shop. I believe it charges a dollar fee and if you use your card at the checkout they also charge you a fee. I believe that is a dollar as well. I will say this is one thing I do not like, when places do that. The credit card fees are not that much that they pay, and I believe it's the cost of doing business, and that should not be carried over to the customer. Everyone uses card nowadays and cash is not common. read more

Went in for Gel-X and they instead highly pushed for dip powder. Asked for a French tip and kiss than a week the French tip started peeling off.
