I wanted to like this place, but the overall experience fell short…read more Food-wise, it's just okay. I ordered a cheese slice, and it wasn't anything memorable. The flavor was very bland-- mostly just tomato sauce and cheese without much depth-- and the crust was overly doughy, almost undercooked. The bigger issue was the service and overall operation. They're listed as opening at 11 AM, but when I arrived with another customer, the doors didn't even open until 11:10 AM. Even then, they clearly weren't ready to be open. There were no slices available, and it didn't feel like they were anywhere close to being prepared for customers. The atmosphere didn't help either. The interaction felt somewhat rude and dismissive, with a lot of excuses instead of solutions. There is a sign stating "no public restrooms," which I initially didn't realize also applied to paying customers. During my visit, two different people came in asking to use the restroom-- want to use it in another just to wash their hands-- and both were returned away. After the second request, the employee put "out of order" signs on both of the restroom doors, which felt misleading. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and underwhelming. The food is mediocre, and the service doesn't make up for it.

The service is always great and so friendly and I love the ambiance of the place too! When I go I always sit at the bar and get me a flight of whiskey. Of the many times I have at here, here is a few of the apps I have gotten and loved. My favorite and mostly go to is the crispy Brussels and cauliflower fried topped with bacon and balsamic drizzle, there is also some dippy stuff that comes with it. I don't know what it's called but I freaking love it w the Brussels. Another app I have tried is the kickin shrimp. This is almost like the bang bang shrimp from PF Changs but a little more crispier and tastes much better in my opinion. The sushi rolls I have tried is the spicy tuna, yes it's raw, and so delicious. If you like spicy this is definitely a sushi roll for you. The fish was very fresh and so tender, you almost didn't know you were eating raw fish. Now for the two entrees I have tried, I'll start first with my second favorite which is the fish and chips. The fish is battered to perfection and so crispy along with the fish so flaky and just so yummy. The sides that came w it were fries. They were good. Now onto my number one hands down favorite dish I always get when I come. What can I say I'm a creature of habit. The mahi mahi, , the way they cook it and the flakiness of this fish here is phenomenal, you can either get the rice that comes with it or how I do it I sub it for their fresh asparagus topped with a spring mix and some dressing on top. I use to not like mahi mahi but this place I will eat it until the end of time. Overall this place is a 10/10. Staff is always amazing, food is on point and fresh and the whiskey is delish!

Located on historic 9th Street and about a mile from the UNC campus, there's plenty of street parking with lots a half-block east and west. Great artwork and murals throughout the building lend a fun vibe that adds to the whole visit. There was attention to detail in the art and its placement. The bathroom was immaculate. I LOVED the upstairs option, a combo bar, and a dining area with indoor and outdoor choices. I elected to eat at the bar, where Abigail turned out to be quite a find, a kind and knowledgable bartender with a great feel for the menu and also provided impeccable customer service with a sense of humor and professionalism. Her suggestion of chips and guacamole was spot on. The three salsa options were tasty, and the guacamole paired with homemade chips hit the spot. Abigail recommended a pair of taco choices, so I trusted her judgment, and I'm so glad I did. The chorizo and chicken adobo selections were terrific. I was impressed with the food and Luna's overall atmosphere, especially the kind customer service.

The food and service are consistently very good, especially for the price. The fresh pastas are the highlight, and I really like that you can create your own entrée by choosing the pasta, sauce, and proteins or vegetables. On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata appetizer with ham and pistachios, which was excellent. I had the paccheri pasta with a meatball and sausage. The pasta itself was great, though I did not care for the texture of the sausage link, which was too firm for my taste. The desserts were excellent. A nice bonus was that bottles of wine were half off on Wednesdays, and we enjoyed a very good Nero d'Avola for $25. Service was responsive, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. The dining room is gorgeous, though I really do not like the chairs. They are small, wooden, uncushioned, and uncomfortable. Overall, despite the chairs and the sausage, this is an outstanding place for a meal.
