The fries, however, were good! The sauce they offered - crawfish cream sauce - was way too oily and didn't have good flavor. Would've preferred a tartar sauce, though. Overall, the spot was ok. We had read somewhere that Acme Feed & Seed (in an historic 1890 building) offered a quieter alternative. We gathered around a nice table near the stage on the first floor, and maybe there were a dozen other people there? Yet, on the next Broadway block things were in full swing? We weren't complaining, but wondered why? The first floor at Acme has been described as a high-energy "Funky Tonk" atmosphere featuring a main stage for live music, a large bar, and fast-casual dining. Our band during our stage was even a little different than that, and what an enjoyable group is was! The Mudbug Stompers brought us the sounds of old-time jug bands, Dixieland jazz, blues, trains, baseball, and crawfish boils. Although this is a Nashville Band, we could have easy been on or around Bourbon Street in NOLA. I was particularly impressed with the trumpet player and the lead singer who played a mean mandolin. Add the string base, sax, and fiddle, and we experienced a very impressive whole. We were highly entertained and engaged, and we're still talking about the experience!

Cheeseburger is delicious, patty melt is excellent. French fries so thin and crispy even Ronnie McD is blushing. This most recent trip I dove in and had myself some lemon pepper wings -- excellent. An anomaly. A bar that goes for a rugged rough around the edges look and yet delivers such a wonderful experience. Grab yourself a couple of ponies on a hot day and sit back and smell the bourbon.

I love the general vibe of the place. I saw someone else talking about validation for 2 hours for parking, which is good. You can also find free parking a few blocks away in Germantown. Sat at the bar and the bartenders are very attentive. No issues with the service. I had the chicken sandwich, as it was highly recommended. And this is a huge sandwich for the price. Very succulent bird. Another positive is the fact they have ponies for $2 (at least they were when we went months ago). THey also do a decent espresso martini. I will definitely return at some point.
