Came with a group of coworkers for an early dinner and everyone had an ok time. Upon arrival, we decided to sit on the 2nd floor (where there's full service); however, there was live music on the 1st floor. Our waitress was friendly and provided efficient service. For the table, we ordered the nachos (didn't add chicken) and surprisingly it was pretty good! I would have liked for the toppings to be spread out amongst the chips (once you get to the middle, bottom they were empty). For my drink, I decided to try their bridesmaid's tears and this drink was just ok. It watered down very easily and didn't really have much flavor. I ordered the catfish and subbed fries instead of the grits and it came with collard greens. This meal was ok but the catfish wasn't fried hard (as I requested) and the greens were too vinegar based. The fries, however, were good! The sauce they offered - crawfish cream sauce - was way too oily and didn't have good flavor. Would've preferred a tartar sauce, though. Overall, the spot was ok. The 4 of us were a happy bunch as we walked back from a wonderful set at The Listening Room. We weren't ready to go back to the Hotel, but didn't want full loud Broadway Honky Tonk either. We had read somewhere that Acme Feed & Seed (in an historic 1890 building) offered a quieter alternative. We gathered around a nice table near the stage on the first floor, and maybe there were a dozen other people there? Yet, on the next Broadway block things were in full swing? We weren't complaining, but wondered why? The first floor at Acme has been described as a high-energy "Funky Tonk" atmosphere featuring a main stage for live music, a large bar, and fast-casual dining. Our band during our stage was even a little different than that, and what an enjoyable group is was! The Mudbug Stompers brought us the sounds of old-time jug bands, Dixieland jazz, blues, trains, baseball, and crawfish boils. Although this is a Nashville Band, we could have easy been on or around Bourbon Street in NOLA. I was particularly impressed with the trumpet player and the lead singer who played a mean mandolin. Add the string base, sax, and fiddle, and we experienced a very impressive whole. We were highly entertained and engaged, and we're still talking about the experience! read more

We had a good experience at ACME! My group and I were looking for a place to eat on Broadway that wasn't too loud. They had a band playing but it was old country and they were amazing! The food was great and the service was very friendly! We had the nachos, the burger, the chicken fried chicken, the wings, and the noodles. No one had any complaints, nor was there any food left over!! I personally recommend the ACME burger, it was so juicy and delicious. I recommend ACME! Went to downtown Nashville on a Tuesday night, avoiding the crowds from the weekend; and decided to go and try Acme Feed & Seed. We were not disappointed. The chicken fried chicken was amazing! Gravy was very flavorful and the Mac-n-cheese was very good and a huge portion. Food was spectacular. After our meal we went to the rooftop for a couple drinks and to just unwind a bit. The view was amazing and the breeze was nice as well. Spent some quality time with family and just enjoyed the atmosphere. I added a few pics from the rooftop. It was nice. This place has alot of potential. I bet it's busy on weekends. We went on a Monday night. No food or bar on the rooftop. Have to get it on the main floor. They also close the food pretty early. They actually kindly kicked us out before 10:30 because the band was done and very few patrons. We understood but felt rushed. Bartender was fantastic. Super nice! We just had drinks and they were nice. The views on the rooftop show both the river (bridge and football stadium) and Broadway. Super cool at night. read more

Acme Feed & Seed was our leading Nashville, Tennessee dinner. Before visiting Nashville, Tennessee both Yelp and YouTube boasted about their rooftop level that overlooks Broadway and the Cumberland River. However, my real life dining experience here would be very different from my virtual visits. My Dad,Brother,and Myself ended up dining in the street level, which is the lowest of the three levels. The best way I can describe the street level is it being a living honkey tonk museum. Located at the easternmost edge of Broadway and overlooking the Cumberland River, the Acme Feed & Seed building has a rich history that goes back to 1890 when it was built. It spent several years as a feed store. It was in 2014, that the Acme Feed & Seed of this business listing opened. When we entered Acme Feed & Seed from the easternmost point of Broadway, a tall skeleton wearing a cowboy hat greeted us. Just like the skeleton, the place was dead when we visited on Monday, June 23, 2025 in the late afternoon. The skeleton was the only one to greet us. In my opinion, this business has an impersonal ordering system where you have to scan a QR code at the table, order the food at the bar, then bring your drinks to the table. The only time that I interacted with the staff was when they cleaned the table. This system differentiated from the majority of the restaurants we dined at in Nashville. Taking into consideration that Nashville is known for their fried chicken, I ordered the Rule the Roost Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries. It cost $17 plus tax. I also ordered a Coke that came in a plastic cup. In hindsight, I should of ordered the beer. The chicken sandwich was solid. I added taste and spice to it by pouring on South of 505 sauce, Acme Spicy Roasted Sauce, and Sriracha sauce . Additionally the fries were good. In my opinion where Acme Feed & Seed shines is by it being a local business that provides an interesting place to eat, drink, and hang out. What is neat is that each of the three floors has its own atmosphere. From my research, the rooftop has more of a party atmosphere with awesome views of Broadway and the Cumberland River. And it is my understanding that every level features a stage. From my personal experience, the street level has more of a live museum environment. The proceeding photos are visual proof. This includes an Acme Gift Shop that celebrated its history. When we dined here, the honkey tonk vibe was on pause. The stage performers were missing in action. I thought that honkey tonk is all day long entertainment. Instead of a live performer, I overheard Grateful Dead songs on their soundsystem. This kind of fit in with the skeleton in a cowboy hat that greeted us. Instead of honkey tonk and lively, it was a uniquely historic and laid back dining experience with solid food. read more

We held a networking event here and we weren't sure how many people we would have the team and space were really flexible which we really appreciated. We had about 70 people and the space worked really well. If we hold an event in the city again we will use this space. Nice and central too. read more

I really liked this place! Pound for Pound, this is probably the best food on Broadway. I think its kind of advertised more as a place to eat vs a place to drink (though you can do that). They have a few different eateries in there which is a little confusing, but the main floor was country chicken scene. Thats kind of what you are looking for, right? My chicken sandwich was excellent and I got a local beer which was pretty tasty too. They also had live music which was loud, but not blaring loud. It was an old fashioned country band with fiddles and all which was lots of fun. Lots of history in this building and well worth checking out! read more

I was just there a few weeks ago and returned for brunch with a friend. This places food is so good compared to most places in the area. This time, I had the best chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy, not over battered, and cooked perfectly. It was dry at all the waffle was warm and crisp. My friend had the breakfast sandwich. It was an everything bagel with avocado, arugula, scrambled egg, and bacon. She thought it was great also. I will probably eat here every time I visit Nashville. read more

We stopped by here on our first day in Nashville. This is at the very beginning of the Honkytonk Highway and has gorgeous views of the Cumberland River and the pedestrian bridge.  The place is spread across 3 floors, and the ambiance is different at each floor, which gives you an opportunity to pick and choose your vibe. The first floor has live music and is generally very loud and lively. The 2nd floor has a slightly calmer vibe; there's also much relaxed seating on this floor, and finally, the rooftop has a bar and plenty of tables and also has a relaxed vibe. Food can be ordered on the first and second floors, while drinks are available on each floor.  We stopped by all 3 floors, started at 1, then went to the rooftop and finally stopped at 2nd to grab some dinner. We got the lobro sandwich (grilled ahi tuna sandwich) and the rule the roost (hot chicken sandwich), both of which came with a side of fries. Great experience! Our group was starving after a long flight that morning and popped in here with no reservation. We ordered drinks and food with the bar and got a number. I try to give everyone a shot unbiasedly after reading the reviews. I should have gave them more weight than i did. Pretty much what everyone is saying with similar stars is accurate. The food was ok, the wings i got could've been cooked more. The sauce was ok but after the 3rd wing the flavor got old and made my stomach uneasy (Alabama white sauce). Fries weee good. We sat at the bar on the first floor. The bartender was lacking in timing with checking in and forgot to make my drink after i ordered it. I walked up to her and she made it. But.. it came in a plastic clear cup. Im going to leave that statement there. Entrainment was great! A1, wouldn't change a thing. Ambience was chill and inviting. My review is for the gift shop that is located in here. I stopped by to take a look and the employee was very friendly. They had sooo many cute trinkets and souvenirs that I could not contain myself........ Prices are reasonable and you can find an assortment of cute girlie items. T-shirts, kitchen supplies, ornaments, stickers, sweaters, candles, jewelry, and so much more. I ended up walking out with a cute cow Christmas tree ornament (14.99) and a cropped shirt. I found myself at Acme Feed & Seed for an after-work event with my colleagues as part of the conference we were attending. A few of us went exploring on Broadway the night before, so we passed Acme by - and when we landed in Nashville I noticed there was a version of it in BNA. Anyway - that being said we were looking forward to checking this place out and absorbing more of the downtown aesthetics. Acme is a venue space which sits at the foot of Broadway in downtown Nashville. The space is super large - there are at least three levels of space that each contain bars and can be used for a variety events. Some of the levels were furnished with couches, tables, chairs, etc while others were more open and could be used as dance space. At the top is a rooftop are with yet another bar and great views of the river as well as Broadway. Our event included access to a few of their cocktails which were all pretty good. We were also served food - nothing too Southern or Nashville-centric per se, but solid American fare like chicken, short ribs, salad, etc. The food was solid - nothing amazing but nothing bad. Overall, I had a good time at Acme. While the food was kinda run-of-the-mill, the vibes were on, the drinks were good, and the staff was friendly. I can totally see this place coming alive depending on the type of event being held here, and I wouldn't hesitate returning the next time I'm in Nashville. read more
