Coffee is always on point using local grinds, sweets are always solid. The owner is super generous and courteous. Good music btw!!

Maple bacon donut. Couldn't wait lol & the caramel macchiato which was also really good ! Slightly strong but great for a true coffee lover

The maple bacon donut was soooo good! The customer service was also so great. Definitely come back again!

When I've seen the sign for this or any of their numerous locations, I've asked myself the probing question what would make a donut happy. After all, the donut is presumably the victim of a happy donut eater, and it would be mere residue in the digestive tract, wouldn't it? However, I didn't trouble the proprietress of this shop with my rhetorical inquiry. She just wanted to know which dozen I plan to order. It likely disappointed her that I ordered just one, a nice plain $1.35 Ube Donut (photo: https://bit.ly/39zQ3H4) with a small $1.40 cup of coffee (photo: https://bit.ly/3G51xON). It didn't diminish her good humor though. There wasn't any indoor seating, so I took my donut and coffee to the parking lot to imbibe them. That made me a Happy Donut Eater. DONUT - 4 stars...I like ube, not overly sweet AMBIANCE - 3 stars...well, it's a typical shop in the chain SERVICE - 4 stars...the owner was a stitch TOTAL - 4 stars...well, the donuts are happy RELATED - Exploring Albany? I wanted to pickup donuts for some co-workers and found this place on the way with good reviews! Before I came, I called to confirm they were open and that the cost of a dozen donuts was $13. The service is quick, but it's not very friendly. I felt very rushed and it was hard to understand questions because they were getting muffled and spoke so quickly. In the end, I was given a lecture by the employee about not listening, which was not a great way to start the morning haha. I was told at the register that the price for the dozen was $13, but my card ended up being charged $18. I should have checked more closely when I was being rung up, but I wasn't even offered a receipt. The cake donut I tried was nice and moist and my co-workers really enjoyed the donuts, but I'm not sure I would come back here again because of the service.

They were having a special if you spent x amount, your coffee was complimentary or in all reality, I think it came to about .25 cents! They chose the cutest panda bear donuts as the decorated donuts, and it was such a fun breakfast vibe full of all the whimsy. They included a bag with napkins and coffee creamer which was a nice touch. And omg, the egg/cheese croissant...so good! There is truly something special about the discovery of breakfast croissants at spots that don't typically market them. (See pic) but the croissant was hearty and layered high with gooey cheese and warm egg. The croissant was warm, buttery, and it seemed like potentially put in a press. Chefs kiss, no notes. I noticed you could add meat and/or avocado, but it was perfect paired down. All in all, a food delivery gone right! Hard to come by these days, and my first time ever executing a delivery order before 7am haha. Thank you for adding to a truly special day, can't wait to visit soon!

My wife and I used to live just across the street and we'd start out mornings by strolling over and enjoying some freshly made donuts. The husband and wife owners were always so friendly and welcoming too! It's been 10+ years since we moved away but I was in the neighborhood yesterday and decided to visit the old spot. Lots of changes in the plaza and surrounding area, but Donut Time has persevered. I walked in and the glorious display of donuts was same as it ever was! This time, I was greeted by a very cool young gal and she was chatty and patient while I figured out what I wanted. I got my wife a chocolate raised and chocolate twist. And I chose my favorite maple bar and maple filled. Btw one of the reasons why Donut Time is the best is that they don't skimp on the frosting like some unnamed local spots. They also offer a lunch special that's pretty hard to beat for the price, a burger, fries, and a drink all bundled together. The bakery itself seems to mainly be a takeout spot, with minimal indoor seating which felt pretty inconvenient given the limited space for customers, however it did seem to serve more of a purpose as a waiting area anyways. The structure of the bakery leaves a bit to be desired as well, as we found the glass display cases as the only form of menu, so being in the front of the line while still deciding what to order caused some unnecessary anxiety. Regardless of those nitpicks, the baked goods themselves were pretty good! Service was instant, and all of the treats looked delicious--it was hard to choose what we wanted! Our favorites were the Thai Tea and Ube Coconut Mochi Donuts. Both had really strong flavors--the Ube in particular was very clear in comparison to most other Ube desserts in my experience. The textures of the mochi donuts were really well done too, with soft exteriors and chewy, glutinous interiors. The same can be said about the Mochi Muffins, though with crunchier parts around the edges. We found the contrast of textures to actually work really well! However, the flavors of the Muffins were lacking a bit--the Red Velvet didn't stand out much, with the frosting tasting a bit too sweet, and while the Five Spice had a really interesting flavor, it was also a bit too sweet, drowning out the more unique citrusy flavor. Overall, however, all four of the goods we had were enjoyable eats, and would definitely return some time to try out other flavors!

There were three staff members in total (thin build, Latino male), medium build Filipino female with glasses, and a thin build Asian female). The male was working on an in person order when I walked in, seven to ten minutes later the same woman was standing around waiting for parts of her order - no other in person customer was being assisted. A young woman, who had placed an online order for two coffee drinks asked repeatedly if anyone was going to make her drink order. It took two staff members - Asian female, Latino male) - to help figure it out, each debating who was going to make it. The Filipino female kept coming from the back to bring sandwich items to seated waiting customers. The male continued to look at online orders before helping the family of three in front of me. When their order was finalized, the male walked away from the register and proceeded to look at the online orders. He said nothing to the line, did not acknowledge our presence. He went to the back to make a sandwich - again two staff members working on one thing (Filipino female, Latino male) while in person customers stood and waited. The Filipino female asked what him what was in the bag while standing at the front of the store. The other Asian female was still working on the coffee drinks from the online order from when I first walked in. After about ten minutes of being walked by and disregarded, while waiting to be acknowledged, I asked is anyone going to take our orders at the counter? The male replied, "Yes, but we have a lot of online orders and we'll get to you shortly." So online orders take precedent over those waiting in store to purchase? If this is the case, then why are there only three staff members who are clearly not organized nor serve in the capacity of enough staff to assist customers online and in person? If I had not asked about being helped, no telling how long staff would had continued to ignore us. The Filipino female walked over, asked how my day was and asked what she could get me. After each donut selection shared, anything else?... She was being passive aggressive in her tone and with her words. As I was waiting to select my receipt options, she saiid, "All of that for two donuts" to the male. Who both went into the back while the rest of the building line waited. When I finished my receipt selection and entering my phone number, the father and son behind me were still waiting without any assistance or staff acknowledgement.. If I had not promised my daughter a donut prior to order road trip, I would have left long before. Worse service as it was nonexistent to those in person. There were three staff, two were doing staff and the third at the front was nonexistent. Do better Dynamite, your customer service was absent yesterday, staff not at all prepared or organized and your store is not staffed to assist both online and in person without neglecting in person. Communication was nonexistent as well, leaving customers standing in line without a single word or thought of returning any time soon. Online orders, you'll be waiting too. There were three people who walked in, going directly the register with a phone in their hands. They were waiting two for the pickup while the young lady wanted her coffees made. The ambiance here...people were upset across the board. I would rather drive to Pinole and get service, Dynamite donuts are not worth that wait or nonexistent level of service.

Just an FYI…read moreI'm a vegetarian and I'm in the process of cutting out all animal products, therefore, I'm trying out vegan spots and cook a lot of vegan food. I also ended up taking my sister so she could see what vegan food is about. 1. My sister had the breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was an absolute texture nightmare, the coconut rice was gross and mushy, the tofu was completely bland, the random spicy curry sauce was unblended & completely overpowered everything. Just really one of the worst burritos I've had in my life. She couldn't get past two bites before throwing it out. I also bit it, and I agree with everything my sister said. 2. I got the tempeh reuben sandwich and it was equally bad with bland soggy fries. It was edible and I finished half of the sandwich with a ton of hot sauce but I threw out the other half. I legitimately could not finish it. I think king oyster mushrooms would be a better substitute for the "bacon". 3. The donuts are AMAZING & deserve to stand alone. The lemon one was absolutely incredible. If I would've only purchased the donuts I would've given Donut farm 5 stars. There's a price range from $3.00, $3.50, $4.00, and $4.50. I think they're reasonable prices for how good they were. The only one that was okay was the chocolate coconut. In conclusion, the food needs a lot of work. I know this is a small business, but please taste the food that comes out . The sandwich was $18 and the burrito was $16. I never complain about the prices from small business owners because I love to support but it was expensive for the quality of food I received. The service was also okay, it felt like everyone was stressed lol, I'm not complaining bc I know we all have our days but this was my first time at Donut Farm and I wish my experience would've been more pleasant so I'd be willing to give it another chance.
