My dentist suggested that I should try Happy Donut. She said it's been here for many years and it's yummy. I stopped by the other day and I found parking right in front of the shop. When I stopped by later in the day, there isn't a large selection of donuts to choose from. I bought chocolate, maple bar and lemon filled donut. They are all good. Reminds me of donut shops back in the day. I saw photos online that they sell holiday donuts. Halloween is coming up and I can't wait to stop by to see if they have any. Might be a good idea to bring a box to work!

I come here all the time , the parking is convenient only when it's not full, because there is multiple business it can get a bit crowded. The prices have gone up just a bit but I still come to get my donuts !

Stopped in while we were waiting for nearby boba to be made. My husband ordered crumb bear claw, glazed buttermilk and blueberry cake. He really enjoyed the donuts. I had a bite and thought it was pretty good too. We spoke with the person helping us and he mentioned they'd been in business since 1989 I believe he said.

On a Wednesday morning in February, I was craving for a donut at 7am. As I walked inside, I see array of donuts and croissants looking at me. The counter lady was nice and placed my fresh donuts in the bag. At the counter they now accept credit cards which is new. Sometimes it's hard to carry cash so I am glad for new addition. The donut was fresh and yummy.

I haven't tried their donuts but their sandwiches were yummy and fresh! Very consistent too. Portion size was good. I came here twice and both times, I ordered the ham, turkey and cheese. I enjoyed every bite. It had the right amount of everything. Thank you Good service Parking avail Price is right

    A nice variety of donuts!

Such a great little mom-and-pop donut shop that serves some pretty rocking donuts! They always have a large variety of donuts that come in all shapes, sizes, colors and flavors. Everything is always fresh and does not taste like leftover donuts. I always go for a dozen of their donuts, and sometimes feel adventurous enough to let them pick out what they'd like for me! It never disappoints, and I know that what they give each time will be super delicious. I've tried their blueberry donuts, regular glazed donuts, red velvet donuts, maple bars and bear claws. Each one is a tasty journey through donut heaven, and will satisfy your sweet tooth cravings just perfectly. The owner, Vanessa, is such a sweet person who has always made me feel welcomed at her shop and I can taste the love and hard work she pours into her donuts! Go and support this shop,it's so worth it and will be worth coming back more than once!

There's been several occasions where staff or family members have brought several donuts from Happy Donut to our facility, allowing me to be able to try an assortment of their donuts. The sugar donut and cinnamon crumb are both always very good, but they have a wide assortment of other donuts that I didn't know they had! Happy Donut is inside the Tea Maru plaza. Parking was super hard to find back when Tea Maru was Sharetea, but now there's a good amount of parking spots due to the stay at home orders. There's also a ton of street parking if the plaza does get too busy. I stopped by before heading into work to grab some donuts for my coworkers and luckily there was a good assortment available despite the many customers. Ended up ordering an assorted dozen and half a dozen where I was able to pick from the more generic donuts. Price was around $11-12 for a dozen and maybe a little more than $5 for six donuts. I was pleasantly surprised they had a blueberry and strawberry glazed donut that tasted pretty delicious. As for the other ones - strawberry, coconut, glazed, etc. everybody liked them. The woman helping me (I believe the owner) was friendly and quick - felt like she was rushing just a tad as she didn't hear my specific requests for certain donuts. But no matter because everything was tasty. tl;dr - A great place to stop by for all your donut needs. They also serve croissants, sandwiches, fruit, and coffee.

Great mom and pop shop. busy on a weekday morning. Owners are extremely nice, will be back.

This place has definitely improved over the last few years and now, it's one of my favorite go to places for Mom and Pop donut shops around my area. I'm a fan of the $1.25 Chocolate Twist! Fluffy on the outside, sometimes a little crispy around the edges and topped with a good amount of chocolate glaze, yes!!! Even my Supervisor brings donuts from here, and it's pretty good, but generally, my eyes zero in on either the twist or maple bars (gotta be quick in getting those, lol!). The Owner Rose is a sweet lady. I've interacted with her a couple of times for my morning donut runs. Her other Staffers are nice too (but they usually take over the afternoon shifts). Definitely a fan and looking forward to many more donuts here!

As I type this review, I'm already jittery from its sugar rush. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 50 Cent additional fee for card.) I arrived at KC Donuts (San Gabriel) on a Monday (around 6:35AM). Parking is available in a cramped lot or the nearby neighborhood. I chose neighborhood parking since it's easy to find a spot. Staff is professional, friendly, and welcoming. Staff worked hard. And Staff promptly answered all my questions. On ambiance, KC Donuts (San Gabriel) is spacious for a donut spot. There's also plenty of tables, and there's a couple bottles of hand sanitizers for customers. It's also fairly clean. This popular location had a steady flow of morning customers. I love the bread that they use on the sandwiches, not sure if they make it in house but it is definitely not just store brought bread at a market. And everytime I drink their juice i definitely feel good internally, it's like my body likes it. You can see them press the juices in house! The place itself has limited parking space I would say and the interior is definitely mom & pop shop vibes but those are the best places ! I would definitely recommend as well as try their tuna sandwiches because I've heard they're delicious!

It would be best to call to see if they have any left before making you way there if that is what you're looking for specifically, which I was. The recent photos of their cronuts looked so good from other people and sadly that wasn't what I got when I stopped by on a Friday morning around 9am. They have a list of filling you can choose from. I chose Custard, wasn't too sweet and just as expected. Cronut itself was almost like a sliced white bread texture- not much layers like a croissant, not really flaky or buttery.. Glaze on the outside was very very sweet and too thick it created a crust.

And my Alhambra neighborhood go-to is Mr Good's, a no-frills bakery off Valley that shares a strip mall with an aquarium store and a small-operation law office. The doors open at 5AM daily, as the brusquely efficient elderly owners load trays into the display case and grab your selections with a transactional lack of warmth or courtesy. In the early morning, the bright fluorescent lights feel particularly oppressive. Stainless steel chairs are pushed up against 2 wooden laminate tables, and the remaining counter space is littered with old appliances, pink takeout boxes, and other knick-knacks. The poorly lit donut display is filled only with the most traditional varieties -- the apple fritter and cinnamon roll are the edgiest options. Chinese pop music plays, interrupted intermittently by crackling feedback and newscasts from the tiny flatscreen television behind the counter. A consistent trickle of regulars arrive to dine in and take out during the weekday earlybird service. When I arrived about an hour into opening, I was surprised to find that not all donuts were yet available -- specifically, I was left without any maple or chocolate-frosted options. Instead, I settled on a plain glazed raised donut and an apple fritter. The still-warm ring was anything but "plain", and it sported a pleasantly even, melt-in-your-mouth glaze and an excellently light texture. In contrast, the warm fritter was bogged down by grease and butter; despite occasional apple chunks, the flavor was overwhelmingly cinnamon-y and one-dimensional. My two donuts ran me $3.60, cash only. While I might not get the fritter again, the fresh, plain glazed was an unequivocal winner. I see Mr Good's as an occasional on-the-go joint for those hoping to eschew bland chains, but without the bandwidth to trek out to LA's donut heavyweights.
