Full set on my hands and a deluxe pedi. The color i picked was HOTT, and the application was on point. They stayed on way longer than I thought they were going too, we had a loss in our family and haven't really been up to getting back in , so it really worked out that what usually lasts me 2 weeks, lasted the better part of 5 weeks!!! I visited this place just yesterday because I needed emergency manicure/pedicure fix as I have no time to make an appointment to my regular manicurist. So, the salon is fresh & clean, chairs are new, it opened just 4 months ago and the ambiance is pretty nice. I was the only one there at 7pm, so had no wait and no rush. Nancy and one other girl both did a pretty nice job with my manicure & pedicure and I want to see how long it lasts. The drawbacks: a little bit pricey in comparison to other salons in Chicagoland area (I normally have a no-chip mani & regular pedi for about $45 / $50! This one was $60 though). Plus there are surcharges for some of the nail polishes that are supposedly long-lasting.. The choice of varnishes is pretty good though. All in all, for an emergency fix I'd pay this price, but not sure if I come back only because I know better places. P.S. Dear owner, I've read your responses to the reviews and you are not doing it right. I would suggest, you hire a marketing person who will help you fix your rating / attitude problems. Your salon is very nice and girls are working hard, something in your marketing strategy just isn't right. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I have been going to this salon since they opened. It's always been a bit slow, but my experience today takes the cake. I stopped in to make an appointed for me and a friend last week... for 11 am today. We show up today and the place is absolutely packed with walk-in appointments. I tell one of the technicians that we have an 11 am manicure and pedicure and am told to pick out colors. So we do and are asked to sit down next to each other at one the pedicure Stations. During this time another women comes in and says she also had an upcoming appointment. An older lady comes and starts my friend's Pedicure while I continue to wait in my chair. In the interim they take the women that came in after us and immediately start working on her pedicure. Over 30 minutes have now passed and I am sitting with my feet in cold water and my friend is almost done with her pedicure. I decide that this just is not worth it. I inform my friend that I am going to get up and wait for her to finished her pedicure and we can just pay for that and leave... since now there is no way we will be done anywhere near the same time. That is when a younger woman comes up and tells me not to leave that they can hurry up with my pedicure so that we are done together. Excuse me? You're going to rush and not give me the proper service because you didn't manage your appointment calendar and let another woman go before me? I inform her that I am no longer interested. That the water is cold and my friend is almost done. I go to stand up and she tried to push me back and slammed the armrest of the chair into my arm and starts yelling at me that I need to be patient and it will be fine. I am beyond done at this point and tell her that I am not staying and ask my friend to meet me in the car. I will never ever go back to Happy Hands. They need to learn how to manage their calendar and not just try to herd people in at the expense of regulars who actually make appointments. The only thing I have to show for this complete waste of time is a nice bruise on my right arm from having the armrest slammed down on me. read more

I recommend going somewhere else for nail services. I got a dip manicure that was hurried and rushed, and it began cracking and chipping within two days. I came back exactly 14 days later and requested the manicure be removed. Every single nail tech in the salon gawked at the shockingly poor quality of the dip manicure, pointing out how the top coat was flaking and cracking and confirming that it was cured improperly. Even the man who did the manicure came over to look at the cracking manicure. However, nobody offered any apology or tried to make it right. I was charged $12 to have the nails removed and was even asked to tip on the service. When I pointed out the poor quality of the original manicure to the manager, he was unsympathetic and reinforced that the salon was under no obligation to provide any refund or repair for the poor service after 1 week, despite the fact that the nail techs all agreed the manicure I received was poorly done. They easily could have made a small effort to apologize for the service I received originally and I would still be a customer, but unfortunately they made it clear they really didn't value giving the customer a positive experience. read more

This is like my second time here. The first time I got a no chip and the second time was i got one acrylic nail repaired which eventually made me want to have a fill in and a cut and en eyebrow wax. The no chip was good. Very professional and even. Trust me, I live near 2 nail salons and i'd travel for this nail salon than go to the ones near me. Happy hands fixed the uneven, bubbly no chip I got and it lasted a while. When i came in today to get one acrylic fixed, it was lifting and peeling not to mention they weren't all the same length and again, it was uneven. The girl took her time and now my nails look normal again. I guess she noticed how bushy my eyebrows were so she asked if I wanted it done... what the hey it's a me day. I've had several nice manis and pedis with Nancy, so I wanted to treat my husband to a spa day here. Unfortunately, his nail tech appeared to be in a horrible mood from the start. She was very unpleasant and sloppy, and completely rushed through his services (she did not have any clients waiting). His deluxe pedicure and manicure were completed in under 25 min total! My nail tech was still in the early stages of my pedicure when his mani and pedi were both done! There was obviously some workplace tension and drama happening during our visit, but that should never be taken out on the customer. I'm very disappointed with our experience, and I don't plan on returning. read more

She was answering phone calls, processing payments back and forwarded while doing my nails. I feel she was in a hurry to catch more customers. When my husband arrived. The pedicure station has no hot water. Several customers had to wait to have a pot of hot water in the station. Cuticles should be cut not pulled. As a business owner I get that you need to grow the clientele but this business has No good management at all. People is nice and I know they work very hard but the OWNER SHOULD STEP IN AND ORGANIZED IT! No sense to have a bigger spaces and had moved form new management if the owner care less !!! read more

I rarely like to get my nails done.... I've had bad experiences with no chip manicures. This place is wonderful!!!!! I got my nails done for my vacation 4 weeks ago and this is the result. The technician that did the no chip did a fantastic job! The place is small, neat and immaculate when it comes to how clean they are. What I particularly liked about this place was the service I received. In the past no chip manicures usually start peeling at the edges and therefore fall off; but NOT with happy nails. Nancy did an amazing job and my nails are holiday ready! We also did the "deluxe pedicure" and I don't think I can ever do another type of pedicure again. If the massage part is your favorite part of getting a pedicure, definitely check it out. You can pick from different scents that they use in the pedicure - the bath salt, the scrub, and leg mask. Fast forward 45 mins and a pair of extremely soggy a** feet later, I am still waiting, but they at least started on my cousin. It was about 4:30pm and someone was finally free to start my pedicure but at this point it would be another hour (maybe more) in this salon. So I opted not to get anything done at all. No one said anything other than "oh." Moral of the story, just be honest. Don't tell me a "15-20 minute" wait and have my feet soaking so I actually believe it's going to happen. With this nail salon being extremely close to my job I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately the 3 times that I've given this place a chance they have disappointed me all 3 times. The first time I got gel nails with no chip on top, the nails ended up all different lengths and shapes.Second time, I got no chip polish on my natural nails (with a different nail technician) and the color ended up being really blotchy and see through, within 2 days the no chip polish started to lift around the edges. I decided to give the nail salon one more chance and I am extremely disappointed. Once again I got no chip polish on my natural nails (it was also a different technician again). She filed my nails and left them completely crooked and the bottom of my nails are rough! There's nail polish all over my cuticles, there are air bubbles in the polish and again blotchy and see through. I've never been this dissatisfied with my nails. I will never step foot back in this place and I will continue to tell my coworkers and everyone I know to not waste their money by getting their nails done here. Update: Not even a week later, 3 nails have chipped and 2 nails have broken. I am beyond upset. The last lady Berry that did my most recent no chip seriously ruined my nails. Tried happy hands for the first time to get a pedicure. I had made an appointment for me and my daughters three days in advance for 6:30. When We got there there was only three other women. Two getting pedicures and one getting a manicure. We were asked to pick a nail color and have a seat. Sounds easy lol but not. The wall of nail color was minimal for what came with a $28 pedicure because it was mixed in with polish that would cost you $3 more. Heads up the $28 pedicure package is their basic. They have packages that are more expensive. Which the more expensive ones are compatible with other places who offer it for $25. And lol You get to pick these packages off a printed piece of paper that is wrinkled and written on. Not very professional. My girls and I decided just to get through this and never go back. But in their defense they are new and hopefully open for improvement. They do use tub liners for their pedicure chairs which is a plus.
