I have been to this location four times thus far. The first time was great. But the last few times were not because they could NOT get our order correct each time. Either they forget the boba or they did not order the correct number of bubble waffles. In terms of the bubble waffles, they asked us if we wanted to order another one but with the wait being so long, we just could wait any longer than the 15 minutes we already waited for our drinks in addition to the 10 we waited to place our order. I would recommend that the staff always flip the order screen around to allow the customer to confirm the order...geeze this is not rocket science! read more

This location of Happy Lemon is great for a quick stop. The line here is always much shorter than the ones in the Bellevue Square location, and takes around 10 minutes for me at around 3:30 PM on a weekday. The restaurant is decorated very nicely. They have a wide assortment of drinks and of course, the bubble waffles. I personally enjoy the mango smoothie a lot. I haven't actually tried the chocolate bubble waffle, but the regular one is great. All in all, a great location for drinks and bubble waffles. read more

This was my first visit to a Happy Lemon store but I am a boba veteran, having been to shops in CA and Asia. The service was horrible as they messed up my order and took forever in making one last bubble waffle. When I asked for them to complete the order by giving me the last waffle, they said ok and I proceeded to wait another 5 minutes while they were doing other tasks. By this time, all other customers (including those who had walked in after me and ordered) had received their orders and left. Now to the food and drinks. The bubble waffles are ok but nothing spectacular. It is similar to the the bread in a japanese taiyaki but it is hollow inside. You can also think of it like the korean bread in the somisomi ice-cream desserts. I also got an ube drink with taro balls and a dragonfruit tea. Both were mediocre. I won't be back. read more

I ordered a cold, original milk tea with boba and 30% sugar and a half original/half matcha waffle with the salty cream dip. It all was delicious!!! They cater to everyone's "sweetness levels" and even have a chat to pick your sweetness level from. (Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of that while I was there.) Despite being constantly busy, they are able to maintain a level of calmness. Orders are usually out in a reasonable time. First time I ordered from them, the drink wasn't properly sealed so it spilled in the car--definitely unfortunate. Otherwise, I will keep giving this place a try! read more

We were waiting in line for 20 minutes, once we finally got to order they told us that they were out of drinks what we picked (3 different items), but they didn't have any notes by items on their menu. Finally happy lemon branch 2 have opened !!! The shop have more space compare the Bellevue mall one :) . I love their bubble waffle so much because is not too sweet compare to other store I had in Seattle and you can have two flavour mix together !!! And drink is always pretty consistent for the taste too. I was ecstatic to find that happy lemon extended their franchise to other locations so I wouldn't have to endure the pains of long lines like their Bellevue Square location, however, at this location, customer service needs MAJOR improvement. There was a couple in front of me so I had a little to none of a waiting period so that was awesome. But the moment I was at the cashier, the girl walked off probably to fulfill an order and when she came back she didn't even greet me or acknowledge me as a customer. I was slightly annoyed but proceeded to order anyway. I got 2 drinks (Jasmine green milk tea w/ puff cream & boba) and an original bubble waffle. I know I clearly stated my drink correctly because I had to say it twice since the girl didn't catch on the first time. Oh and it gets worst, when I got my drinks, I noticed it was missing boba so I politely asked the guy who handed me the drinks if there was boba in there. He gave me a dirty look and said that it wasn't on the order. So I'm like that's odd, I clearly asked for boba & puff cream. He snatched the drinks back from the counter and said that I needed to go up to pay for the boba. Hmm okay, I am already agitated from the cashier and now this? This is a shitty way for me to experience my first time at a new store. So I go up anyway to pay for a petty $1.10 for boba and this time around, I don't know if they re-made my drinks or just poured boba in the previous cups but my Jasmine green milk teas were bland and gross. I think they forgot to add the sugar and it was unbearable and watered down. I drank maybe a quarter of it but eventually threw away the drinks and felt like it was a total waste of money. Mind you, their drinks are on the expensive side. This is definitely not a good first impression for me. I would strongly suggest that management needs to implement some form of customer service training to teach them how to show respect to paying customers. I may give them another chance but if I get the same level of disrespectful, I will be THAT customer that will make their day go sour and they will hear an earful from me. read more

I was fairly happy with the drinks that I got. It's much better than the Bellevue square location, and I plenty of parking in the plaza. I don't have to worry about the traffic getting in and out of Bellevue square. Got the strawberry green tea with rock salt crema at 50% sweet. And it was just right. The crema here is by far my favorite place to get it. Highly recommend! Also got the taro milk tea. I regret not adjusting the sweetness as it was too sweet for me. But it was good, I just had to drink it little by little. The bubble waffle smelled really good, sad that I didn't order it. We have been going to Happy Lemon for about a year. Their drinks started to be excellent but lately it appears the quality has come down. They don't taste as good as before. The crew is always too busy to greet the customers. They appear to be working hard, however, it is not fast enough to ensure customers get their order within a reasonable time. For that reason there is a lot of room to improve customer service especially wait times. We typically wait between 15-20 minutes for 2 drinks. Since we have not seen much improvement, we don't plan to go back. read more

Updating my review only because management was very nice in speaking to me about this situation and because of course their waffles and boba still being delicious. Only reason I don't go to 5 is because of the staff and customer service. I understand it may be hard to staff now so I will give management my benefit of the doubt. When I came in again management said I can re order my waffles on them but again the staff either didn't like me or just don't pay attention. I enjoy my half chocolate and original waffles and after waiting 15 minutes they just gave me original. Saying "that is what coupon said". Then why would I order that and them not tell me? I don't know seems like a bunch of kids and I don't have the patience. Other than that I recommend the Happy Lemon in the mall. Much better service and nicer people that make the wait worthwhile. This was my first bad experience at this location. I order the same drink every time. The Milk tea with the Oreo puff and I add crystal boba and extra Oreo puff (A4). From what I know this drink doesnt come with regular boba. A3 comes with regular boba. I came in today to order the same drink as always. I was given the regular black boba so i talked to the girl that was making the waffles. I told her I wanted Crystal boba NOT black boba. She tells me it is Crystal boba, but then why is it dark and not clear? She looked at me and didnt say anything. I said ok and left. I also asked for extra Oreo puff and seem like regular amount. I dont think her and the guy making the drinks knew what they were doing because I have never been given black boba with my drink ever until today. read more

This place has the best cheese tea and also the best eggettes I've ever had. The eggettes are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They're not soft and chewy like the traditional ones you get in HK. They're different in a way that I appreciate. The cheese tea is just salty enough to give that nice contrast with the tea. I'm honestly not one for sweets but this is my favorite dessert spot. Get the jasmine tea with rock salt crema and a classic egg waffle. You can't go wrong. read more

I dont normally write bad reviews but this experience got to me. I love happy lemon and often go to several of the locations. At this location they keep their straws at the front but you get your drinks in the back. One of the workers called out my drink and I kindly asked her if I could get a straw because I didnt know they kept straws in the front. A couple other people were also confused on where the straws were. She then told me they were in the front. I went to the front of the store and there were no boba straws, only regular straws. I went back and let the worker know politely. She just turned around and grabbed a big bin, stormed passed me and aggressively filled the straws and walked back to her station with no acknowledgement. She could have at least handed us a straw so we didnt have to wait and watch her fill the straws. I thought that was pretty rude considering I asked really nicely and understood she was busy making waffles. I know happy lemon gets busy but they are in the customer service business. read more
