Cute spot in an "off the beaten path" part of Bellevue. The interior is cute and clean and has a lot of fresh fruit in boxes. It kind of feels like it could be a dessert stand in a village vibe. But the interior is modern. Menu is limited, which is also nice. Leans very heavily into mango, coconut, durian, strawberry, and watermelon. That being said everything is plated aesthetically, tastes amazing and fresh, and is priced appropriately. The service is mid, but it doesn't hinder me from coming back.

Hui Lau Shan has such great mangos! I shared the Mango Chewy Ball w/ my partner and really enjoyed it. The mochi is a perfect texture, the mango pieces were sweet, and the mango ice was refreshing. I recommend coming here after a really heavy meal, your stomach will forgive you and be happy haha.

After my flight this past Wednesday evening, my friend and I drove to Hui Lau Shan for late night dessert. Unfortunately, she is a hater and doesn't like mangoes, so we got two mango-free desserts. Still good, but I know HLS is known for their mango desserts. STRAWBERRY CHEWY BALL - 11.50 +1 for 6 more chewy balls Not too sweet! Lots of chewy tapioca balls and some slices of strawberries, along with vanilla? ice cream with a shaved ice base. Some of the balls were kind of hard, unfortunately. The shaved ice was a bit watery and not the most flavorful. Overall, this was a light option, but pricy for what it is. BLACK RICE COCONUT JELLY JAR - 9.90 I loved this one. The black rice texture was perfectly sticky and chewy. The coconut jelly was bouncy and firm, but not a strong coconut flavor though. Also not too sweet. I definitely would get this again and recommend it for coconut lovers. Thankful they open until 10 PM even on a Wednesday. Otherwise, I would have not had any dessert that evening!

Great dessert place with refreshing flavors of mango, strawberry and others. It's the perfect dessert that isn't too heavy but instead very refreshing. I'm not a big mango person so was pleased to see they had other options including taro and coconut as well as drinks. I went for the strawberry and the rest of the group got a variety of mango ones. All very tasty. The other cool thing was the artwork on the walls. It depicts the evolution of Seattle through the decades. I'm glad I was introduced to this place, and on a last note, the staff was nice and patient, and the desserts were made very quickly.

My friend and I were just food hopping and this was our last stop. Dessert! Heard about their desserts and I've had similar before. I tried the Hot Taro Sago and my friend had a Mango herbal jelly mochi. You order and then find a seat. The interior and vibe was cute and chill. The order didn't take long and I think I know why. My taro sago came in a ceramic pot, which I thought would be hot. It wasn't. It was more like they threw in a lot of taro pieces, 4-5 pieces of small mochi, and poured in room temperature coconut milk sago. I was very disappointed, yet if I was going to say something it'd probably gone in the microwave. Meh, stuck with it and continued our catching up. My friend on the other hand finished everything. I think I'd get her order next time if I were to come back or anything that doesn't says "hot".

Delicious drinks, mango desserts. Drinks are pricey at 9 a pop but desserts seem reasonable at 8 to 12. Mango dream is my favorite.

Champagne mangoes are really sweet, HLS tends to vary in quality based on location. This is one of their better ones.

This is a popular dessert chain from Hong Kong that specializes in mango and coconut desserts. I got the Pomelo and Mango Sago that was sweet and citrusy and very refreshing. I also added mochi balls that had a great chewy texture to help contrast the jelly/soup like consistency. Love this spot and definitely wanna try more of their desserts!

We were in the area and passed by this place. We loved all of them in Hong Kong so stopped by for a treat. 852. Aloe and Aloe Jelly in Watermelon Juice (5): Generally we get mango items but this was surprisingly amazing! Very refreshing and great watermelon flavor. 851. Mango and Mango Jelly in Mango Juice (4): One of our staple drinks. If you like mango, this is totally mangoed out. Egg Waffle (5): Can't go wrong with ice cream, boba, and mangoes in an egg waffle cone. This one disappeared quickly as well. Only issue was sticky tables and floors. Maybe we just got unlucky and sat in a spot before they cleaned up. Overall, we enjoyed our treats.

My first time visiting this location. It's spacious and somewhat clean, but the cashier was not friendly, and the black sesame chewy ball my friend ordered was very bad (watery bland sesame soup, lukewarm). When we asked for hot water on that cold day, we were told they don't have any. I've tried their mango drinks and desserts, mango coconut jelly and durian pancakes before, which were all pretty delicious. So based on all of my experiences combined, the desserts here deserve 3 or maybe even 4 stars, but this experience alone is far below my expectation.

If you like mango, this is the place to go. The mango was pretty fresh, and it was not too sweet. Highly recommended the mango jelly bowl. The mango with sticky rice was ok, the ones from Thai food place is better.

The food was delicious and service was fast! It's kind of cold inside but the ambiance of the store is cute. Highly recommend their mango sago!

The mangoes here really are fantastic. They have boxes of them and when in season, they are simply delicious. For plant-based friends like myself, they have a few vegan options. A lot of the choices are already vegetarian but for vegans, you're limited to their mango sago and a few other toppings. This dish was perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing after a long day of being out. The menu isn't very clear in identifying an item as 'vegan' by nature, and instead says 'can be made vegan.' Even with the naturally vegan mango and sago, a clarifying question from me raised an eyebrow and slight attitude from the worker... I get it, it's busy but it's a fair question when your menu implies that they can be MADE vegan. Gets really busy especially at night, but lines go quickly and you should be able to find a seat unless there are way too many large groups when you visit.

I especially enjoyed their new seasonal mango cheesecake bingsu and apple pie toast. They may have the best bingsu texture in town! They use a self-service model for food collection, utensils/water, and bussing dishes - which most diners are good about, but the staff could do a better job with wiping down tables and making sure tables are cleared and utensils are topped up. I was there for over 2 hours and they ran out of metal spoons and paper napkins by the time I went to order a second drink (about an hour in). Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #80…read more After a poor boba experience at the Capitol Hill location, I wasn't expecting much out of Meetea Cafe in Redmond. Still, since this is the only non-chain boba shop in Redmond, and I was in the area for an event, I decided to give it a chance. The menu at this location is a bit different, since it doesn't allow tea selection for the milk tea at the kiosk. There are two kiosks even though I doubt this place gets too busy, given that it was just after lunch at 1PM on a Sunday, and there was only one other party inside. Boba Milk Tea, 30% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea is a very pleasing almost orangish color that's actually quite a fragrant, tasting more similar to a Ceylon than an Assam that most other boba shops use. There's a caramelized milky sweetness to the drink, like they use pure condensed milk as a sweetener. It all combines together to give vaguely Hong Kong-style milk tea notes. At 30% sweet, it's pleasingly only slightly sweet, much better than the harsh sweetness at 50% from the other location. Note this drink comes with boba by default, but I wasn't paying attention and ended up adding additional boba (adds 75 cents). At least, I think there was an additional order in the cup, given that it seemed to be a larger amount of boba than is usual. The boba is surprisingly pretty good. While the pearls are smooth, not that sweet, and are a bit inconsistent in size, they have a surprisingly good bounce and the chew is quite good, albeit a tiny bit on the firm side. Overall much better than what I received on Capitol Hill. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 I was really surprised at the quality of the drink I received at this Meetea location. I would happily return for boba any time I'm in Redmond. Bathrooms - One unisex room

Perhaps this is why she was really stingy with my toppings, but I don't think I was in the wrong... Although this is only one bad experience out of multiple good experiences, I don't think I'd risk coming here again especially when boba prices have been increasing...

I've seen this place all over social media, and as a big coconut fan, I knew I had to give it a try. We ended up ordering the Red Bean Coconut Dessert and the Plain Coconut Dessert. Our total came out to around $20. The plain coconut dessert was about $8, while the desserts with additional toppings were around $12. They even added fresh mango on top, which was a delicious touch. The coconut pudding texture is incredibly smooth and creamy, making it a really refreshing dessert. Another nice bonus is that you get to keep the glass jars they serve the desserts in.
