The staff is pretty fast and receptive here, and the location is so convenient (next to the Link station and bus terminal). They made our drink to our specs pretty quickly after taking our order. There wasn't really seating inside but there was some very close by and it was so pleasant to have some tea on a nice day while sitting next to a fountain!

heytea is located inside the Bravern, and this location opened about a year ago, but I haven't had a chance to check it out until today. There is always a long line, so it seems to be quite popular. Today there was a buy one get one of a new drink, the golden oolong yuzu, so it was especially busy. I got the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte and ordered on the heytea app instead of waiting in the line to order. After placing my order, the app said there were 50 drinks ahead of mine in the queue, and about a 20 min wait. Staff were accommodating of my reusable cup and were, after some initial hesitation, able to serve my drink in my glass tumbler instead of the plastic cup. Thanks for supporting sustainability even while it was super busy today! The Triple Supreme Matcha Latte was really good, consisting of a strong matcha latte with matcha mochi and matcha jelly. The mochi is very soft and the jelly adds a nice texture to the drink.

I'm so impressed by the drinks here. Everything is good. I tried the grapefruit mango one and pistachio cloud jasmine and they were both good!!!!!

Big fan of HeyTea and their wide selection of toppings. The drinks are consistently good and there are lots of options to customize. Customer service at this location was mediocre, during our visit we encountered an employee who kept talking to someone else while taking our order, so I had to repeat myself a few times which was a bit frustrating. The shop itself is really small, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot rather than somewhere to sit and hang out. Overall still a good place if you're looking for a quick drink.

AMAZING BOBA. My absolutely favorite in this area, only downside is the wait time is quite long here but if you order ahead on the app all is well. Drinks are amazing, the whole place smells like jasmine and they are pretty efficient at getting you your drink when it's busy.

Stopped by heytea on a Sunday afternoon, and it was so busy! They even paused mobile ordering because they were so backed up with orders. Stood in line and waited to order instead. Ordered and paid at the counter and got a coconut mango boom, then waited outside because the shop was just too crowded. They have a screen showing which order numbers are ready, so you know when to pick up the drink. Mango drink was pretty good, had fresh mango purée and mango chunks, so it tasted like a fruit smoothie.

    - delicious, but service could be improved - I was in the area and had a 10% birthday coupon, so I placed an order through the app. It was ready within 10 minutes, which was great. However, the drink wasn't packed, and the employee asked whether I needed a bag in a very casual--almost rude--tone. I said, "No, I'm good," and took the drinks, but I felt uncomfortable. It was a noticeable contrast compared to the great service at other boba places like Chi Cha San Chen or MACU, where drinks are already properly packed for you. I ordered the Coconut Mango Blue, and I got the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Tea for my husband since the original version was no longer available. My drink was actually delicious--I finished it within 5-10 minutes. My husband, however, said the milk tea wasn't as good as the original. I took a sip and mainly remember that the drink itself wasn't very good, though the boba was surprisingly soft and chewy. I'm not sure how those two qualities can coexist, but they somehow did, lol. After the 10% discount, the total came to $14.85. This place is definitely not cheap by Bellevue standards. I'd probably order from somewhere else next time for better service and overall drink quality.

Firstly, the ambience of the store was very relaxing. The workers were also polite and hardworking - our orders were ready quickly. We purchased the Mango Coconut Boom (smoothie, right) and the Kale Boost Tea (a refresher-esque drink, left), both of which tasted very refreshing and cooling on a warm sunny day. The Mango smoothie had cold slush, little jelly pearls, and chunks of what appears to be coconut cream (which, personally, was not to my liking). The second drink was my favorite because it tasted cool and sweet - I couldn't even tell it was healthy! (The chia seeds were a nice touch to the kale). Overall, I'd be happy to try more drinks here.

Loved the combo of pistachio salt foam with coconut juice and jasmine tea. They used premium jasmine tea. Service was quick. There's only standing room. Make sure to validate your Bravern parking for 6 hours.

Is it just me, or is HeyTea kind of... average? I tried the Mango Coconut Boom and it was pretty underwhelming. The mango didn't taste ripe and honestly felt like it might've been frozen, which really dulled the flavor. For the price, I expected much better quality. The space is also very cramped with long wait times, no real place to sit, and prices that don't match the experience. Overall it felt more hype than substance. Hui Lau Shan does mango drinks and desserts way better. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Heytea is super trendy in New York and I was excited to try it here in Bellevue. Located in The Bravern, you can park in their lot and Heytea will validate your ticket for six hours. The shop is small and is mainly a counter to order and receive your drink. Also the guy taking our order seemed like he hated his job, but he wasn't rude, just very unenthusiastic. On their menu, drinks with "cloud" have cheese foam, and drinks with "boom" are slushy. I got the cloud green grape drink and added boba. Wow! this drink was so good. It had cheese foam and it was a slush. There were pieces of green grape as well. The grape flavor was very pronounced and natural, it didn't taste artificial at all. The boba was chewy and sweet which I enjoyed. My friends got the supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea. This is where my review only get 4 stars instead of 5. The drink had a very light tea flavor and a strange after taste. It was hard to describe but I would stay away from their milk teas. Overall their fruit tea is where they shine and I am excited for my next trip to Seattle to try the other drinks.

The line up and wait can get long if you go during peak hours. I went mid afternoon on a Friday and was able to order right away. My coconut mango boom drink was filling and well made. I wish they offered a milk alternative option so those of us who are lactose intolerant have more options.

It's a bit overhyped but the drinks are not bad. I actually would come Back again for the kale juice. It's smooth and refreshing and I like the chia seeds! The cup it comes in I wish it would be a glass vessel. It's plastic but still super cute. Overpriced for $9 though.

This was my first time at Emerald City Smoothie in ten years and my first time at the Downtown Bellevue location. The interior is fairly small with only a few tables to sit/stand at and so it's mostly a takeout place rather than a place to meet with friends. Emerald City Smoothie has a wide menu and categorize their menu into five categories based on health goals: "Boost My Immune System", "Help Me Lose Weight", "Go Green", "Bulk Me Up" and "Nourish My Body". They also have a menu just for "Boosters" which cost extra and include everything from antioxidants to bees pollen to creatine and fat burner. Lastly, they have a Secret Menu which includes Banana Creme Pie, Matcha Green Tea, Maui Paradise, Mountain Berry Blast, Orange Creamsicle, Piña Colada, and Peanut Butter Cup. I'm pretty sure their secret menu is just drinks that don't fit into the other categories (or ran out of room for), because they had these same drinks on their menu ten years ago. I ordered the MATCHA GREEN TEA (16-oz) off the secret menu. This smoothie has soy milk, matcha, non-fat milk, and whey. For $7.44 (including tax), this was pretty pricey for a "healthified" matcha Frappucinno. They obviously don't use high quality matcha as the matcha color was on the yellow side and the taste was quite diluted and bland. It mostly just tasted like sugary blended milk with little to no matcha flavor; I was honestly disappointed, but drank it anyway. My friend got her favorite NUTTY BANANA (sub vegan protein) which has banana, peanut butter, protein, and nonfat milk, which is probably what I should've gotten instead. She also ordered a PB&J and MANGO MANIA for her family members which are also supposed to be decent. Lesson learned, stick with the fruit smoothies. Service was good- the baristas are friendly and efficient and we got our drinks within 10 minutes after ordering. Overall: 2/5 for drinks, 4/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

I thought I'd give this chain a try and I was very disappointed. Parking: mall garage, free. Atmosphere: no seating, long lines for ordering, waiting for your order to be completed is longer than waiting in the line (I presume it is because they fill mobile orders at the same time). Mango Sago Smoothie: I requested 30% sweetness and it was still very sweet but that wasn't the worst part--it wasn't until I reach the bottom of the cup that I saw the sago was nothing but two large coagulated clumps. It was clearly poorly made and not fresh. The mango tasted mediocre and was nothing to write home about. The boba was also very unevenly cooked and was mushy on the outside and rubbery/hard inside. I noticed this on the first sip and wasn't going to stand back in the 10 minute queue to get it remade. I'm all for bubble tea joints and I honestly thought the drinks would be better quality for a chain so large that I hear about.

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!
