I always stop by this spot when I'm in Bellevue because it is truly that amazing! The icecream is incredibly creamy, has the perfect amount of sweetness, and the options for toppings and swirls of different flavors make it the best sweet treat. They also have rotation flavors, so there are frequently new options to try. It's also very fairly priced in comparison to other icecream places nowadays! The staff is kind and the line moved very quickly.

Bellevue has so many dessert options and ice cream + taiyaki is just what I'm in a mood for today! This place can get busy and they only have one ordering station with a touchscreen so be prepared to wait during peak times. There is no place to sit but some spots to stand in front of a counter like table. I ordered the Ube + Matcha swirl ice cream with upside down taiyaki with sesame filling. This is one order but I want to rate them separately since it's such a difference in taste experience. Taiyaki + Sesame filling (5/5) Fantastic light crunch and amazing sesame flavor. This was a delight to eat and wonderfully fried. It was not too oily and the sesame filling was not overly sweet. I'd come back again and again just to eat this! Ube / Matcha swirl ice cream (2/5) There was almost no matcha taste at all. In fact, you'd have to close your eyes and try really hard to extract maybe possibly a hint of it? The ube faired a bit better but the same lacking in flavor. The ice cream as a whole tasted a bit too sweet and artificial and lacked any flavor to it and I believe it's because it's just mostly milk. I inhaled the taiyaki but I only at half of the ice cream. If I'm in the mood for it again, I'll come back and give other flavors a chance. Or if they permit, I'll just order only a sesame taiyaki because it's so good.

Food - Yummy soft serve and taiyaki options. There's a variety of flavors to pick and choose from. Service - Fast and friendly service. You get to pick additional toppings. When your order is called. Self order. Ambiance - Simple shop, no seating

This was such an amazing experience! I loved the various choices and the rotating flavors. I got the strawberry matcha soft serve and it was so smooth! I loved the combo of the waffle on top and the choices for fillings. I do wish there were more size options because the portion was massive and I couldn't finish. I also wish there was seating inside. The server was so kind and helpful with choosing out options!

Went here for dessert. It was yummy and not too heavy. Service and ambiance was good. No seating available but counters available to enjoy your soft serve. Recommend to try!

I came on a Friday night with my daughter to do a daddy-daughter date. Unfortunately one of the machines couldn't do the mix, but the service was great. I really enjoyed the macron that they added to the ice cream. It felt a touch pricy, but in reality, I'm just out of touch with inflation. I would come back again to do a fun light dessert!

The soft serve is lactose free which is a huge plus! The matcha/cookies and cream with Nutella taiyaki was amazing! Would come back again.

The product is great. My kids had cookies and cream, strawberry and I had a twist of matcha and Ube. Waffles made to order so they're super fresh. It was understaffed when we went. Only one worker and a constant line so be patient. No seating inside which makes it tricky. There is a bar height counter but that's not very kid friendly. It would be nice to add some seating for people to enjoy their ice cream in the store. There's no seating or benches in the vicinity.

First time trying taiyaki with soft serve. Order at the kiosk but staff was friendly and greeted us right away. Lots of options for flavors and toppings. We store is very clean and has a long counter to enjoy your treats inside. The strawberry was light and delicious. I liked that it wasn't dyed red but was natural strawberry color. Delicious.

Came on a Thursday night and was quite disappointed to find out they only had two flavors on the menu (cookies and cream + strawberry) since all the others sold out. Tried the cookies and cream flavor and it was alright - it wasn't very cookie flavor heavy, which is what I was expecting. I'd just go get a McFlurry to satisfy the craving next time. They do offer free toppings and a free macaron shell which is nice though. Ordering is self serve and the place is pretty small with a standing bar height table. As for parking, there's tons since it's in a plaza shared with other businesses. Overall, I'd come again if in the area but definitely wouldn't drive far only to get this.

We had Somi Somi in Sacramento before and we loved it. I am happy it came to Bellevue. I had the green tea and ube swirl and my family had the upside down fish with peach ice cream. The portion is good and we can add toppings too at the end. It's perfect dessert on a hot summer day. The only thing is that there was only one staff that has to ring up ppl and also make the dessert so it takes a bit longer.

Came to try the new banana pudding soft serve on opening day! Super yummy and really happy that I got to try it tonight. BIG shout-out to Timothy who worked all by themselves. He was super kind and accommodating even though there was a very long queue. The owner/manager dropped the ball and really should take care of their employees better. Timothy was amazing despite this being a terrible management decision. Thank you Timothy for holding down the fort and getting us all banana pudding soft serve!!!

All three had the same fresh coconut base, but each had a completely different flavor. The mango version was refreshing with chunky mango pieces, though I personally wished it had a little more topping. The black sesame had a rich, nutty flavor that would be perfect if you're a fan of black sesame. My favorite was the tiramisu, it had a generous, flavorful tiramisu layer on top that paired really well with the coconut. I also liked that the desserts weren't overly sweet or heavy, making them a nice option when you're craving something light and refreshing. The staff was friendly, helped us choose flavors even though we arrived close to closing time, and the service was quick. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors. One helpful tip: if you're driving, you can park in the garage next door and ask the staff to validate your parking.

It's much more spacious inside and has plenty of tables available if you'd like to sit down and enjoy your dessert. The staff were also super friendly when my mom and I visited, which made the experience even better. I've seen this place all over social media, and as a big coconut fan, I knew I had to give it a try. We ended up ordering the Red Bean Coconut Dessert and the Plain Coconut Dessert. Our total came out to around $20. The plain coconut dessert was about $8, while the desserts with additional toppings were around $12. They even added fresh mango on top, which was a delicious touch. The coconut pudding texture is incredibly smooth and creamy, making it a really refreshing dessert. Another nice bonus is that you get to keep the glass jars they serve the desserts in. I also noticed they have a selection of bottled drinks available to take home as well. Overall, I had a great experience at this location and would highly recommend stopping by. If you're a coconut lover, this is definitely a spot worth trying.

With a mix of sweetness, tartness, and acidity, the bingsoo has balance and the contrast actually helps each flavor shine. The berry juices even add flavor to the bingsoo below (and there are berries at the bottom). The only mediocre aspect is the whipped cream on top which is just whatever. Taro Bingsoo - the menu has alternated between ube ice cream and taro ice cream but I think it's always been taro ice cream because it's not overly sweet. Red bean is also sweet but after devouring the toppings (including the ice cream), the bingsoo itself doesn't offer much. It's sweet shaved milk with condensed milk but the taro flavor isn't as potent.

Here's the corrected version with it described as a dessert: This location is inside Bellevue Square, which makes it a super convenient option if you're already shopping at the mall. If you don't want to go into Bellevue Square, they also have another location just a couple of streets away in downtown Bellevue that's a standalone shop. Honestly, I'd recommend either location depending on where you are. I've been to the downtown Bellevue location before, and while I liked it, parking can be a little difficult since it's mostly street parking and the area is pretty hilly. At the Bellevue Square location, parking is much easier. You can park in any of the mall garages or outdoor lots for free. It's first come, first serve, but weekdays are usually not too busy. Weekends tend to be much busier, though you'll probably still be able to find a spot. The shop itself is very small and can feel pretty cramped. It's difficult to move around when there are a lot of people inside, and the lines can get a bit long. There are only a few tables available for seating. I stopped by with my mom to try the Mango Mochi Coconut dessert that I'd been wanting to try for a while. It came out to around $12. The dessert itself was really good, I loved the coconut flavor. It had a smooth, pudding-like texture with soft mochi pieces that made it unique and super enjoyable. One downside was the customer service. The staff didn't seem very friendly, and everything felt a little rushed. I also thought they had a rewards program here, but apparently it's only available at some of their other locations, which was disappointing. Overall, the dessert was delicious, and this location is incredibly convenient if you're already at Bellevue Square. That said, I personally prefer their downtown Bellevue location because there's more seating and the staff there have always been much friendlier.

BUT they are remarkably consistent, with perfectly chewy pearls and high quality teas. So, even though I'm paying a lot, I know it's going to be good. I got the Dong Ding Oolong with cream, perfect sweet and less ice with boba. The Dong Ding oolong is a high mountain oolong with a strong malty, nutty, roasty taste. It perfectly complements the cream. I prefer cream as opposed to milk since I think the cream gives the drink a thicker, more velvety mouthfeel if you mix it into the tea, plus before mixing you can sip on the cream and the tea separately, so it's like you can enjoy two drinks in one cup!

While…read morethey serve some of the best boba, the tea flavor tastes a bit diluted compared to what I noted in my previous review. Because they brew each cup on order, I expected the tea to be more apparent, but in every drink I've tried it takes a backseat to other flavors. + DONG DING OOLONG TEA LATTE: I opted for light sugar and light ice. Despite being one of the most popular drinks, the tea flavor was weak and the cream dominated. It had a smooth consistency with subtle caramel notes, so it still tasted good, but I would have loved for the tea to shine more. At least the $1 addition of boba is pretty generous and I had enough for every sip! It was perfectly cooked with that nice chewy bounce. Since the boba itself is sweetened, going to 0% sweetness would probably be just sweet enough for me. + OSMANTHUS TEA w/ PASSIONFRUIT: Again, this leaned heavily toward the passionfruit rather than delivering a distinct tea flavor. (Side note: At the register, I received a sample of the High Mountain Pouchong Tea with Mango. This was sweet, super fruity and reminded me of mango nectar. It's really delicious, but only had a tiny hint of green tea.) + OSMANTHUS OOLONG HONEY TEA: I selected light sugar and light ice without toppings, hoping to taste the pure tea. I picked up the floral notes of the Osmanthus and the tea flavor came through a wee bit more than the other drinks, though still wasn't the dominant flavor. The amount of honey was on the verge of being too sweet, but the drink overall was refreshing and crisp. The new location in Bellevue Square is very clean with a few tables for two along the wall. It is consistently busy, so just be prepared for a wait. However, there are multiple employees preparing the drinks, so while the line appears long, they churn out orders pretty quickly without getting flustered. It's impressive! Given the steep pricing for the cup size and the weak tea flavor, Chicha San Chen wouldn't be my go-to spot considering all the other boba tea options in Bellevue.
