The service I received was not that great, I put in a mobile order at this location and when I got there I realized my order was canceled. I walked in and asked the server why it was canceled, they said they were busy when I put the order in. Which makes sense why they would cancel my order but didn't offer to make the order now instead they stared at me. Then I asked if I can place the order they didn't seem too happy to make it, all while someone at the front seemed to get a manager even though I was simply asking questions. Being a fan of Happy Lemon at the mall, I was superrrrrr excited to find out that there are other locations. Came here with friends after dinner and overall, it was an ok experience. My go to drink has always been the strawberry jasmine tea w/ the rock salt crema and at this particular location, it was quite the letdown. The drink itself, felt pretty watered down while the crema itself, lacked the usual oomph and yums and it tasted more like bland thick cream. For the venue itself, it's definitely a bit bigger than the mall, and parking is easy to find. Wait time for the drink wasn't too bad. This place is in a large lot so you will not have any trouble finding parking. There are not a ton of tables or space to sit inside so it's more a place where you just get your drinks and leave. When I go here I always get the rock salt crema. Usually I get the jasmine green tea but this time I decided to get the milk tea one ($4.25) instead. I love Happy Lemon, so when I learned there was a second Bellevue location that wasn't as cray as the one in Bell Square, I was relieved! For This Happy Lemon location is located in the Evergreen Village shopping center, next to Safeway and restaurants around the Bel-Red area. In my last visit I ordered the Mango Matcha Smoothie, which was suppper yummy! I loved the matcha flavor with chunks of mango with. And I find that it's sweet enough, so would recommend getting zero sugar with this drink. You can also put in your phone number, to gain points for a free drink. The bubble waffles also count towards points! The space inside isn't too large, but there is seating if you wanna hang out. I do find that among the two Bellevue locations, this one is never as busy. Parking is easy to find with the shared lot in the shopping center. Glad to have this second location in Bellevue. read more

I have passed by the Happy Lemon in Bellevue Square Mall but always kind of just skimmed over it. When I heard thy finally opened this second location, I decided it must be pretty popular and to give it a try. My fiance and I came over here this afternoon (a nice sunny, although chilly, Saturday) around 12:40 pm, and there wasn't a line! I wanted to try one of their fruity teas as a milk tea sounded a little too heavy after our huge lunch. I got the F3, a strawberry jasmine tea with lychee jelly with 50% sugar. My fiance got an A1, an original milk tea with regular sugar and ice. I wanted to split an original egg waffle, but after we smelled how good it was, he insisted on just getting our own. Which was just fine, as there is a sign at the front of the counter that says only 2 waffles per person. I'm kind of glad there is that rule, as each waffle is made to order and does take a while. We didn't wait too long, but when we got our waffles and drinks, a long line had formed. The egg waffles were fresh, hot and just amazing. They had good texture and really good flavor. Buttery and delicious. The middle was a little underdone in my opinion, but I actually enjoyed the contrast of the light and crispy outside to the fluffiness/softness of the inside of the little bubble (if that made any sense). It's not the best egg waffle I've ever had, but definitely the best in the Seattle area so far. I enjoyed my drink a lot. The 50% sugar really is 50% here. With the sweetness of the lychee jelly, it was perfect for me. I do wish they didn't use crushed ice in my drink as I kept sucking up the ice along with tbe jelly. I loved the crushed up strawberries too! My fiance crushed his egg waffle and finished it in less than 5 minutes. I would highly recommend eating the waffle right away as it will get soggier when it gets cold. Happy Lemon is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking! Huge plus! Finally a Happy Lemon that opens up closer and saves me the annoyance of navigating Belle Square Mall traffic. As usual this chain never fails to disappoint. I'm not a boba type of person so I usually enjoy the specialty drinks, specifically the mango matcha latte and cream series. Stopped by initially during their grand opening and the service speed was quick (definitely 100x better than the mall location). I've never really found bubble waffles special, so no comment on them, but they're a cheap snack at least. Looks like I'll be stopping by more often now, minus all the crowds. read more

Happy Lemon is one of my favorite bubble tea chains. I have not gone to one before and received anything short of really good bubble tea. It is nice that a second location opened up because if you have been to the one at the mall, you know you are walking into a line. I don't know for sure since I do not work there, but it seems like this one gets less traffic. This would make sense since Malls usually have more people going in, out, around than a strip mall/grocery store parking lot. For a customer, that is a huge plus! The hype of Happy Lemon, I have decided, is legitimate. The first week this location opened in Bellevue the line was out the door every time I drove by. It was ridiculous. But my girlfriend and I finished getting our nails done and decided to stop by since it looked line-less. I am very pleased we did. The new way of bubble tea is to customize, go ham and chock that thing full of as many add-ons as possible... or so it seems. Usually, I just love a classic flavored milk tea with tapioca. But here, my Oreos and cream with frosting stuff(it's like a custard type thing and I can't remember the name) and half sweet was AMAZING! Since by that time I was still outside the store, I went back and the store apologized to me and made me a new one. However, the second drink has the same problem!! And I already left. See picture 3. I realized there must be a big piece of plastic got into the crema raw material and got smashed. So every crema drink has small plastic chips! I'm grateful that I was drinking slow... but not sure how many people have ordered this drink today.... This is very dangerous, especially for kids. It was my first time trying Happy Lemon and I was thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend this location as I was greeted by the staff with friendly attitudes all around. Their boba is chewy like gummy bears. Always a flavor for everyone from the milk tea, fresh tea or smoothie series. I like customizing my drink and replacing it with alternative things. They are very accommodating of changes to your drink - I changed the ube fresh milk w taro ball to ube drink with almond milk ($1 charge) and replacing taro ball and taro puff cream with lychee and boba (no charge!). I really like this place. I was happy they have multiple locations here so I don't have to miss it so much when I'm not home in San Diego. This location can be pretty packed at times, but it's never been a problem. I typically get the milk tea with rock salt creama - it's the perfect dessert drink! I also really like the bubble waffle - original. I'm a little bummed that they don't have as much options as the ones they do in California. I'm missing the cheese waffle option and the strawberry tea with creama. Also, they recently came out with the Ube drinks. I tried the smoothie and sadly, it was disappointing and I don't feel that the drink represents the real ube taste. It tasted more like jasmine green tea. This is probably the least busy of all the Happy Lemon locations, which is why we go there more than the other ones. Most days you can just walk right up with minimal wait (as opposed to some of the busier ones where there's a long line to the door to order and then a second line to get your drink.) There's also ample parking, which is nice. And you can almost always find one near the store itself. It's tucked away in the Safeway parking complex in the attached strip mall. Our top drinks here are A2 - Jasmine milk tea and A12 Roasted Milk tea. Both are made with non-dairy creamer, so that's good for lactose intolerant ppl like me. Not all their drinks are made with this - they use fresh milk in some of them so if you're lactose intolerant, be sure to ask. The Roasted Milktea is their version of an oolong. It's SO GOOD. Super dark and smokey. Get it with at least 50% sugar - it'll balance out the bitterness. The Jasmine flavor is super pure and intense without tasting like soap or overly floral. One of my most favorite jasmine milkteas around. The mango lemonade and mango jasmine teas (non milk teas) are SUPER refreshing in the summer time, esp when the weather's hot. Our kids really like the strawberry shortcake smoothie. It's caffine free and very creamy. Their boba is nice, too. It's got a good chewiness - perfectly al-dente, like pasta. :) read more

Yay yay yay, another Happy Lemon location! And this time, I don't have to fight for parking, go through the mall, and stand in line for boba. Location is easy to get to and on the way whenever I have to go through this area to get golf gear or inventory for my salon. Hands down, Happy Lemon has THE BEST sea salt cream. What happened to this location?? They used to be so friendly and helpful! Well, it looks they do not work hand in hand with the regular Website. This lady with an attitude told me the beverages I was looking for were seasonal. I guess she hasn't noticed that fall season has been working for other stablishments. Anyway, then she added that they were 2020 Christmas items. That I "should look" at their menu. I read the whole thing and there were no "seasonal 2021". Retraining Recommended. I'm a big fan of Happy Lemon, even at this location, which has had its mix of issues (plumbing, staffing changes, etc.). As long as the drinks and bubble waffles remained up to standard (as compared with the one at Bellevue Square), I would happily return. But yesterday's visit (6/24) was NOT up to par. First of all, the store wasn't that busy, so you can't really blame it on that. I ordered 3 drinks, and they all failed in quality. 1) Taro milk tea with no sugar was extremely sweet(perhaps 0% was misread as 100%??). The drink was accidentally upsized, but it was so sweet it felt almost hazardous to finish it. 2) Freshly squeezed lemon black tea had no hint of lemon taste. My friend said it was similar to Snapple but Snapple tastes better. To me, this is the drink that differentiates Happy Lemon from the many bubble tea places in Bellevue, which is why this failure was particularly upsetting for me. 3) Regular milk tea with egg pudding barely had any pudding Overall, the drinks reflected carelessness and no adherence to the franchise standards. Fortunately, their egg waffles were still pretty good ("pretty good " because half of it is consistently soggy. So although not great tasting, it consistently meets expectations). I got the Jasmine GT w/ rock salt crema and I'm so glad I did! Usually when I'm in San Jose I order the "jasmine green tea with cheese foam" so being here in Bellevue I was hoping the "rock salt crema" is the WA version of Cali's "cheese foam". It definitely was & I'm super happy. Next time I won't ask for 50% sugar though because it could have tasted better if it was a little bit sweeter. Overall it's clean and smells good when you walk in.
