Thai tea and green tea with salted cheese and boba
    Kara M.

I'm hoping my visit was just a one-off experience, and that I caught them at a bad time! Dropped in after dinner nearby (around 6pm on a Saturday) and there was no wait or line. Ordered my usual A1 green tea with salted cheese and added boba to it, paid, and got my drink and...it did not taste good or anything like what it usually tastes like. The biggest issue was the tapioca pearls - they were either bottom of the barrel/last of a batch that sat too long, or just extremely overcooked. Either way, they so were so incredibly mushy and disgustingly sweet that they ruined the entire drink (I had asked for little sugar, though I know the pearls themselves provide their own sweetness). Disappointing as they cost extra as a topping. The tea itself was okay, but not fresh. And the salted cheese was fine, if not too much. I almost thought about asking them to remake the drink, but decided against it. Just unfortunate as the location was cute and convenient if you're in the Cedar Park area. I know it's a newer location, so hopefully they'll find more consistency in their drinks and toppings. Until then, I will stick to the Happy Lemon near the Domain area.

Mango Matcha Smoothie and Okinawa Milk Tea!! I would categorize Happy Lemon as a more pricey milk tea shop. Plenty of seatings and very friendly staff. Good spot to do your work or even just to chit chat with friends. Chill vibe with yellow as the main color palette. Fruit tea: If you prefer a stronger tea base with light hints of fruits, then you can get them here. Okinawa Milk Tea: Very fragrant brown sugar flavor. Not too strong, not too sweet, but mixed very well with milk tea. Boba was a little soft but okay Mango Matcha: a very unique flavor combo but it works!! Fresh mango, strong match! It's even good melted.

I'm so happy they opened another Happy Lemon. This location is right off the 183A North exit if you're traveling here from that highway. Location is in middle of up-and-coming businesses. There's an 'okay' amount of parking spaces, very limited in front of store. Grand opening is super chill, BOGO drinks today. You get a menu to look at in line, select what you'd like and then go up to counter to pay. They have a wide selection of drinks from lemony ones (lemon slush, yakult yogurt ones, fruit teas, smoothies to boba and even make bubble waffles. If you havent tried it YOU MUST. I love how each booth area has an outlet for all you people (me included) that like working in places like this w/o fear of losing battery for your devices. Very smart planning! They've got highchairs for kids. I am definitely sure they'll improve their service as this is the first day they've opened. I love happy lemon!!!

This just opened today so everything is clean and new and I like the cute interior that's cheery with several tables and seating along both sides and minimal decor. I tried the Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie which wasn't sweet and that surprised me. It wasn't great although I liked the strawberry flavor. The Mango Matcha Smoothie was much better with some jellied mango in the bottom and a good mix of flavors. Of course there are lots of other options with plenty of add-ons available as well. Everyone was friendly and there wasn't too much wait even with a long line of customers, so I think things will be good on any regular day.

Very popular establishment. Net very good boba. I honestly went for the popularity and the Genshin Impact specialty cups. Being that they were blowing up all over America, I had to see why. We tried the Taro, milk tea with oreo, and the matcha latte. I have been to several boba establishments and happy lemon does not Crack the top 5. Maybe barely in the top 10. The boba wasn't all that(might've been old). And the drinks weren't on par with other boba places. If you want to go for the experience, then go right ahead. But if you want a new spot for boba, all the time, I'd pass.

Delicious Mango Matcha Smoothie and Okinawa Milk Tea! Mango and matcha are a perfect fit. Their matcha is strong and bold, mango purée is sweet and brings out the unique combination of these two. Okinawa milk tea is black milk tea with roasted brown sugar - delicious with boba. The brown sugar is very fragrant, not too sweet. Fruit tea is good with strong tea flavor with a light hint of fruitiness. Their drinks are definitely on the pricey side. I usually come here to splurge on the drink that I can't find at other places like mango matcha smoothie.

i'm so happy we have a happy lemon in cedar park!! the interior has a super cute aesthetic. my go-to order is their strawberry matcha latte with boba. i will personally come back for this drink every time because it's perfectly sweet, refreshing, and one of the best strawberry matchas in austin i definitely want to visit to try their waffles as well. service was quick and i was pleasantly surprised to meet the owner on my second visit. the entire staff has been warm and friendly during all of my interactions with them big fan of happy lemon :)

I went to the grand opening and they were doing a bogo sale! It was so efficiently run and the wait was not that long. I think they should get a number tracker that shows what number they are serving cause it was a little hard to hear them when they were calling our number. But I also wasn't listening that hard. I ordered the mango green tea with mango boba and it was pretty good. It includes the boba and small bites of mango. I definitely want to come back and try their other drinks.

The place was really well decorated and the drinks were really good. 10/10 would recommend. The lady at the register was really nice and helpful.

For context, we came here the second month after their opening, in April 2025. As a longtime tea drinker, I was excited to learn that SereniTea was opening up in Cedar Park. The general Austin area had long been a loose leaf tea desert, with the focus on drinking tea for health benefits and general enjoyment versus the overpopularized bubble tea. It wasn't too hard to find this place off of Bell Blvd, and there was ample parking available. Walking in, we saw an assortment of teas available, complete with the barware to match. There weren't any customers there when we arrived. Yet it took a little while before a worker came out of the kitchen to serve us. We were told to sit anywhere, and after having chosen our table, we were given menus to look at. For what this place is, we thought the prices here are a bit expensive, especially for the specialty and premium teas. We decided to order a flight so we could try out different teas. The teas we ordered were Celestial Empress, Dragons Ember, Jasmine, and White Peony. Unfortunately, it took a long time to fulfill our order. We saw a total of 3 people working to heat up the water, measure out the loose leaf tea, and get all the teapots ready. But still, we ended up waiting about 20 minutes before everything came out. We can understand that they were probably still working out the kinks of running a new business, but we think they could have benefited from a soft opening before announcing their grand opening. Looking at what we were served, we were appalled to see how much tea leaves were wasted in the preparation process. They have tea leaves in both a small cup to allow you to smell the leaves after they have been steeped, and also more tea leaves in the teapots steeping for the tea itself. As for the tea tasting, none were particularly memorable. The teas we chose were from different categories of teas: black, oolong, green, and white. Because the tea leaves were left in the pot with no way to remove them after the tea was done steeping, the teas became oversteeped and developed a bitter taste. This was the case for all four, including the white tea which is usually considered the most palatable. I had the highest hope for the Jasmine tea, which is a delicate tea that tastes other-worldly when prepared and steeped correctly. If oversteeped, the experience is destroyed and you're left with a bitter tea more reminiscent of a poor quality black tea. Though Jasmine is one of my favorite teas to drink (I grew up drinking this since I was a child), I couldn't finish it here because of how bitter the tea became. We were also upset that we couldn't get more hot water added without paying an additional fee. Like, really?!? I don't know of anywhere that charges for water refills. Besides, I thought we were paying for the tea leaves and service, not the water? After bringing up our complaints to the worker, who apparently is one of the owners, we were dismissed as she said that the way they prepared the teas was the only correct way. I don't know if she was just being prideful or if she really thought that she had done well. Either way, it didn't seem like she took criticism well, nor did it seem like she knew the relational intricacies of loose leaf teas, water temp, portion sizes, the length of steeping tea leaves...and many more variables. All in all, our experience had many red flags. I hate to be so critical of small business owners, especially new ones. If this place was a chain, I'd give them one star; but because they're independent, I guess I'll give them two stars.
