Update: went to the alki location and they happily made me my frozen drink. Not sure what the deal was at the westwood village location! I had a terrible experience here today. I usually go to the Alki location but have been here. I get a tea blended which isn't on the menu but they have always happily made it for me. The kid working did not want to do it so I said okay I'll just go. He then said he'd make it. He barely put ice in and gave me a watery blended drink. It wasn't right. He insisted it was. I finally just returned the drink and left. It shouldn't ever be this difficult to get a drink. I'm really not difficult but it's not hard to blend a drink. read more

It's so nice to finally have a boba tea shop on this side of West Seattle! I've been visiting this location often and it's been slowwwwly improving since its grand opening a month and half ago. This location tends to "run out" of boba or other toppings, or doesn't have the drink items advertised in the store (ex: roasted Okinawa tea - the drink and the bottle were not available with no ETA on getting it in) so you're never sure what you'll end up with. The employees I've interacted with do not seem to know some of the drink ingredients well. I asked about the crystal boba ingredients - since some shops soak in sweetener - and they couldn't answer me. I asked about the dairy ingredient they subbed (without asking me first) for a drink I was picking up for a friend and they could not answer. Here's hoping for better training because this is the only spot here to get our boba fix. read more

One of the things I appreciate about this place is they get the order right every time. Roasted milk tea: No sugar, medium ice, with boba. I also like how I'm not waiting an eternity for a single order. Maybe I've been lucky but i'm not waiting too long whenever I'm here and it's usually quiet inside. I highly recommend pairing your drink with their mochi donuts, they've got a good selection. I ended up getting a couple of visually appealing dochis; one with fruity pebbles toppings and one with chunks of chocolate. I'll be hitting this place up the next time I'm looking for some decent boba. read more

I had even tried boba or any of these tea places. Ever. But then I saw this one near my nail salon and realized being the hot and iced tea fanatic I am, it needed to be tried. I still don't want to try boba but I was pretty taken by their black tea with lemon and the ability to adjust the sugar level, do it hot or iced, and add fun things like puff cream. The C1 black tea with lemon is really so good and a classic way to go. I may eventually try some of the other options but this is my go to and recommend with low or no sugar and add a topping if you're feeling a treat. I was super excited for this because it added some ~excitement~ to Westwood Village but each time I have gone, and others I know have gone, it's been pretty dissapointing. I have got a few times but kept giving them chances before I left a review. -first time, it was during their soft opening. We went in because we saw the BOGO deal and by the time we ordered, we realized it was only specific drinks. Weird promo to get people in but okay lol. -second time, my boyfriend and I got 3 drinks and waited about 20 minutes. It wasn't super busy and there was just ready made drinks to be handed out so there were a few parties just standing there waiting. They finally call out my number so I go up to them but told them I am missing one more drink. They look around and realize it is in the machine that puts the plastic seal so the worker grabbed it.. and put it on the counter with all the other drinks to be handed out.. instead of handing it to me while I'm standing right there since he knows that's what I'm waiting for. I couldn't even grab anyone's attention so we ended up waiting 5 more minutes for my drink before soemone handed it out. -third time, I got a bubble waffle and it was raw and dough-y in the middle. It also took an extra 5 minutes after it was done until they actually handed it out. Some pros: they have a lot of parking, the inside is very cute and their mango matcha smoothie is yummy. Each time I come here, I'm given reason to not come back but I keep giving them more chances. I hope this is just them trying to figure out everything since they did just recently open. read more

I would say this place is pretty consistent. Consistent with the drink quality since I never gotten a bad drink (other than that avocado smoothie which was insanely nasty and expensive) and consistent with their average, service that doesn't seem accommodating to customers at all. They should be asking if the customer wants to scan their points or if they have an account, but I have to mention it every single time and they have to redo or click some button on the screen to let me scan. There has been multiple occurrences where I couldn't scan my points because of some reason on their end and they did nothing about it. At least refund the order? Restart the order? The points are very important to me. I have probably lost like 10 points already because of this reason and they never do anything about it. I wanted to use 10 points which earns me a free drink, so I asked "May I use 10 points to get a free drink?" and the lady said yes but I need to order first, so I did and got the mango sago and the points were not working. Turns out it was because it was a seasonal drink and points do not apply to them, which is lowkey stupid. They did nothing about it and just said sorry or whatever. I ended up paying damn near $10 for it and pretending I was okay with it just so I didn't come in and order, try getting a free drink, and walk out with nothing. It was 100% sweetness and was way sweeter than your average mango sago so I recommend 50% if you're getting it. It seems that none of the workers native language is english, which makes it a bit hard if there is an issue. Other than that, I have no issues. Standing area is straight towards the entrance so the line can get pretty crowded easily. There's like four tables on the sides. No bathroom read more

It's great to see a bubble tea shop collaborating with a mochi-donut shop! Now you can taste 2 pleasures in one place: mochi donut and bubble waffles! Happy lemon has always been a favorite, but it's unfortunate to report that this shop is smaller than other locations. And due to this fact, their menu is also smaller. I can only recommend this location if you're a fan of the more basic flavors bubble tea has to offer. read more

Really great atmosphere. I was hoping they would have donuts but they said they stop selling them which is totally fine . I got the wintermelon lemonade and it was incredible it may be too sweet for those with a sweet tooth, but luckily that's not the case for me. I love that Happy Lemon has opened in Westwood Village. Are they the best bubble tea out there? No. Do I generally love chain stores? Nope. But HL at Westwood satisfies some needs. This shopping center needs quality shops to stay afloat, and while it's a chain, there is some value to that, namely an app for ordering and collecting points for free items, two things I like. It's also a pretty quality chain. There are definitely good drinks on the menu, and if given the choice between HL and a certain famous beverage chain that happens to be nearby, I am going HL. Service has been fine, especially once they got rolling (they were a bit slow the first month or so). The shop is cute and clean. I order two drinks from grubhub and I got a cold mango gt 70% w less ice. I would assume it'd be sweet (70%) but it wasn't sweet AT ALL. This Happy Lemon @ Westwood Village in West Seattle is the worst service. There was few times they made our orders wrong for example we asked for booba and we we received it no booba, we requested 30% sugar and they put full sugar. Earlier we were sitting down for 20 or 25 mins. They didn't call our number and I found out its been ready when I came up in the counter and asked about it. I was upset and the cashier apologized for not calling out order number. We never have a problem in Happy Lemon in other locationa just this one in Westwood Village. read more

I'm so happy to finally have good bubble tea in West Seattle. Happy Lemon has always been one of my favorites. I've already been here a handful of times since they've opened. The drinks are always well made. They aren't the fastest at getting drinks out but I wouldn't say they are slow either. And I've always received friendly service every time I have gone. Yes there may be some things they could work on (obviously from the bad reviews on here) but they did just open so I wouldn't expect an over the top experience. read more

I'm very happy that west Seattle has a boba spot, although the drinks are very syrupy rather than tea. There milk tea is fine, but their strawberry tea was just syrup rather than tea tasting. Not sure if they use the same recipe for all Happy Lemons, but it feels very catering to the American demographic. The Sharetea in Tukwilla has a similar drink and it feels much more authentic. read more

Every time I have come here, the service is very cold, slow, and not worth the steep prices their drinks are at.
