This Goblin loves coffee. This Goblin supports Women. Those are two reasons why you should also drink coffee here. Each barista works hard to give you exactly what you ask for. They are willing to make your bevvy dreams a reality. In retrospect, some of the flavor combinations I've suggested are nightmares. But, I am a Goblin. The interior has themed rooms which are kept clean by Seattle and Goblin standards, but would be considered fairly dirty anywhere in Japan. It can get busy on the weekends, but this Goblin knows what it's like to be slammed, so I wait patiently and be respectful. It's nice to see an unpretentious flavor forward cafe run by young women doing so well. Their Hazelnut lattes don't lack flavor and taste like you "don't get it". Their coffee tastes like you were finally invited to the dance. While the market has decided that a Goblin will pay at least $8 for a coffee now, I'll fight back my Goblin tears and say "WORTH IT, WORTH IT, YOU ARE WORTH IT!". I took 1 star off because no place is perfect. I'd also like to see patrons of West Seattle businesses do more as a community to keep these spaces clean and tidy. read more

The Dark Chocolate Frappuchino was perfect. Right amount Chocolate, dark and rich and the right amount of sweetness. The Chocolate taste premium. The barista was very friendly. She was patient with my questions. She gave me hemp milk to try which is good but I was not ready to alter my Chocolate flavor. The hemp milk taste like oat milk. Love this place. Compared to other coffee shops in West Seattle, the coffee here was fine, but not great. I also had a visceral reaction to the decor---a lot of pink sorority vibes that reminded me of being left out in my youth. The staff was friendly, but again, Elle Woods friendly, which is not my vibe. I think I'll stick to Cafe Verde on 35th. The coffee is AMAZING there and the vibe more welcoming to the less "pink" crowd. read more

Had a very tasty vegan sandwich and refreshing beverage here. They were able to help me confirm ingredients and subbed alternative milks, which was great. The sitting area is a little unique because there's normal seating and also little rooms. It's all shared but it's probably more suited for larger groups. read more

My friend and I went through the drive-thru Saturday, early morning and it went smoothly! I have been to the newer location on Airport Way and was pleased to finally visit this one in West Seattle! My friend drove a fairly large Ford truck and we were both surprised we made it through the drive-thru with no issues. The service was great! The staff working the window that morning made sure we got what we wanted. We both told her what we wanted, and she asked about if we had a milk preference and if we wanted anything else besides drinks, which is super nice since even though we weren't specific she went out of her way to ensure that it was made the way we wanted. I ordered the 16 oz. Iced Honey Drip (white chocolate, macadamia nut with espresso) and I opted for oat milk. It was super yummy! read more

Eh. It's very okay sugary coffee. I've been three times and not been overly impressed with the espresso. It is what it is which is sugary coffee. Tonight I got an iced toffee Caramel macchiato. It was so bad. They didn't put hot over the caramel and it just tasted like bad espresso. For $9 I took it back. The person told me not to order the cold again. I called bs on that. I have my own note expression machine and spent a long time as a barista. You put some warm over thick sauces to dilute it into the coffee. That's all you have to do which is what I suggested. They made the weirdest comment and said yea Starbucks had ruined this for everyone. What? First, I don't go to Starbucks because they are union and because they are another candy coffee company that isn't good without the syrups. Sadly, the same is true of Lula's. It'll do in a pinch but I was disappointed by this exchange. Instead of telling me I can't have it how I want just make it the way your customer wants it made? Customers aren't always right but having your coffee the way you want it shouldn't be a big ask. read more

Totally amazed! This place has customers through drive thru and inside and the employees just handle each order with care. They do not even write anything down and amazingly memorize and make each order correctly!! The white Mocha was fantastic and made perfect. I was very much doubting they would have messed it up watching how many orders they were taking but nope! right on par!! The ambiance is really cool. Cute coffee shop. I even spotted a small parking lot and a drive through window to my amazement! There are no prices on the menu though.... But my 12oz iced mocha was $5 and a 12oz hot Americano was $3.25 (all tax not included, add 10%). I thought my iced mocha was decent, rich chocolate flavor. I told the barista not too sweet but I did feel like it was still slightly on the sweeter side so if there is a next time I'll tell them to put even less syrup. But I would get again! Visited Lula Coffee on Sunday because I was at the Farmers Market right down the street and noticed the big pink mug sign. There are plenty of choices on the menu and they have a variety of small bites/ pastry options. I went with a classic Iced Vanilla Latte with a touch of cinnamon and a cheddar bagel with cream cheese. The interior was super fun! There's different themed rooms with plenty of seating. As I was visiting West Seattle, my wife was in need of a coffee. We were at the Farmer's Market and found a giant pink cup on the side of the street. I looked it up on Yelp and it had several good reviews. I'm not a coffee drinker so I went with the toasted marshmallow hot chocolate. Since it was summer, I asked if they could make it frozen. They blended really well for me and it still came out really cold. This chocolate drink was very rich just like I love it! The cafe is very cute! I stopped by a couple of times during my stay in Seattle and this was my place to go in the morning. They have a couple of themed rooms. The drinks are fun and I've ordered Matcha Pistachio Mocha, Honey Drip, and the Don't Huck with me on different days. They're all very great drinks with Honey Drip definitely being on the sweeter side. I've also had a bagel here which was quick and on the go. For service, the baristas are all very nice and I found the signage for the menu and the customizability for sizes and espresso shots to be convenient. Came in after walking around the farmer's market in the early afternoon. It was relatively busy but the line flowed quickly and the baristas were friendly. Despite being busy, they were able to answer the questions I had about their milks no problem. I ordered a Chaga latte with an extra shot. It was sweeter than how I've had it at other places but overall good. We sat in one of the rooms that are dedicated for smaller groups. It was a bit dirty with some circle stains on the table and napkins lying around, but overall nice to have a space separate from all the noise of the general cafe. read more

I've walked past this place a million times but this was my first visit (Hotwire cafe down the block is my go-to). The layout of the cafe is a trip - has a bunch of "private rooms" decorated in different eclectic themes. The rooms are closed off from one another. I'm sensing social spatial barriers would be strained by entering a room that is already occupied. Nonetheless, they also have ample normal open cafe seating. A plus over Hotwire which has limited seating. They make a nice Americano. Pleasant people working there too. read more

In a sea of coffee shops that look the exact same Lula stands out, which should surprise nobody given their drive thru line most mornings. The staff is super friendly and always answers any questions that I might have when I come in. The coffee is great and there are plenty of options. I usually choose a seasonal drink that they're doing whenever I come. My favorite thing about Lula is their private rooms, of which there are three. As someone who works from home, I like coming to Lula to break the monotony of wfh and these break off rooms absolutely help with that. read more

I'm in line, it's a big line so I'm on the street in the yellow lines and my blinker is on. I'm waiting. The line gets smaller and as I'm about to turn in this 50 or 60 year old lady with her dog walks in front of my car and cuts me and I do a small honk at her and I put my window down and say she's cutting me and she says "It's 10 seconds you'll be fine. Don't let it ruin your day" and I tell her I won't let it ruin my day. It's the principle it's not just 10 seconds. And she says It's fine have compassion for me (and says something but I don't hear her) I told her I don't have compassion for her I don't know this lady. So I get to the front window and apologize for yelling, as I make my order I hear one of the baristas tells her she's "totally fine and didn't do anything wrong"...seriously? This is like basic social interaction 101 even a 5 year old can tell you this. I say no she did do something wrong what she did was very entitled and they didn't say anything. I understand working in the food and customer service business, but that was not the de-escalation move you think it was and frankly it sucks to see the wrong person being told they're right. Kind of cute, cozy and "vibey" drive-thru spot with interesting & neat thematic indoor elements with different seating areas. Feels like a bit contemporary chic with old school neon tones. I haven't really tried much here aside from the Renude Chagaccino 'shroom wellness pack as an oat milk drink and a decaf oat latte. Both were just alright, even after adding my own spices into the mix. Their decaf is local which is cool (I think C & P roasters?). The vegan snacks here didn't interest me. Staff is pretty chill. The ladies seem friendly w/o appearing too robotic. I've never seen the counter so messy from used shot splatters before in any coffeeshop except here (even worse because it's in plain sight when paying inside). Location is pretty busy & accessible; watch out for the small pothole on the left side when entering drive-thru. read more

Vivian was amazing and sweet! I had a cookie butter frappe with pistachio and she was delightful to chat with while she made it. My spoiled dog got a pup cup and he's lapping it up while I write this. The place was darling and looked so cool to hang out in with a few different rooms. Next time I am in West Seattle running errands I might just have to stay for a bit and vibe for my office hours. This was a surprisingly amazing pick me up and the drink wasn't too sweet as I worried, as I never add sugar to my coffee. The service was quick and this little cafe has so many photo opportunities - though some of them were closed or blocked off with chairs. Also, they have a drive thru, so that's very convenient. They have good music (a bit loud) but this cafe would be cute for getting coffee and catching up with friends.
