I was paired with Mindy today and pretty clear about what I wanted with my nails today, which was a white nail with a gold tip. I think the language barrier here is pretty tough, and I even questioned her a couple of times in the beginning to make sure she understood what I wanted. She didn't even let me pick from the nail colors that they usually offer, she just said I'm gonna do them how I think you want them. I was very skeptical, because what I wound up with is a natural nail with a copper orange glitter tip. My nails are so damn tacky and I don't have time to redo them before vacation. I have been coming here for several months, and never had an issue with the other nail techs. I usually see Jack and another lady who have done beautiful nails. However, Mindy is not capable of understanding what I wanted. She never once asked me if I liked them or anything, and when I told her that's not what I asked for, she did not offer to redo them at all because she had another client waiting. And she was rather pissed off with me for not liking them, which I thought was pretty rude. I am going to have to find a different nail salon, because this is just unacceptable. read more

I went to Happy Nails and had a very frustrating experience. We waited and waited, and no one ever updated us on how long the wait would be. They kept taking other people without communicating anything, and we never received service at all. It felt very unorganized and inconsiderate. If they had simply told us the wait time, we could have made a decision. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving without getting my nails done or my daughter very disappointing. read more

l just came to this salon for the first time and I can say it will be my last. First I'll start by saying they shouldn't assume that customers that come in don't understand or speak their language. With that being said they sit there and talk about every customer rudely and then make you feel bad about coming in to pay to have nails soaked off and color removed from your toes. This is a "paid service" they offer on the website but then you come in for it and it's like your shamed for coming in for it. it's not like I came in asking for it to be done for free, no I came in to pay for the service and then was going to set up for an appointment at the end of the month for new service once my nails had time to breathe. I will be looking for a different salon and would not recommend this place unless you want to feel uncomfortable. *and I'd like to note the reason I didn't go back to the salon I went to for the service is cause my sister's got it done for me when we were out of town. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would, worse nail experience ever and I get my nails done a lot. I asked for the first picture below and got the second one and when they coudnt do the design, the tree looked like a 2 year old scribble it I asked her just to do all one color and she did I different blue. Also charged me 70$ for this set at most salons where they actually do good work it's 65$ for longer and better service and quality. I learned my lesson never go back!!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY 3/10 (generously given) NAILS 10/10 This is my second review for Happy Nails, and it's less cheerful than the first one. Make no mistake, Kim did a phenomenal job on my nails, but let's get into it. I knew it would be a busy week, so I called on Monday afternoon to make my appointment for today, Friday at 11:00am. I showed up at 10:51 seeing Kim just starting on a client. I picked out my color and at 11:00am I asked Kim, "Are you running behind today Kim?" She responded and told me to come back in an hour. If I didn't have two young children (one still breastfeeding) this wouldn't bother me as much because it was my first experience like this at Happy Nails. I reminded her that I made my appointment 4 days ago, and at 11:15am someone else wrapped my nails (I get SNS Dip). 11:45am rolls around and Kim finally starts on my nails. Nearly 1:00pm she finished and told me it would be $60.00. I said, "Why is it so much this time??" and she asked me, "What did you pay last time?" while she was laughing. I told her that the last TWO times it was only $50.00 - I had to get one tip put on my first experience here, my last visit I had two tips put on, and this time I had one tip put on. Her response? "$55.00 today then" I just shrugged, and gave her $60.00. I typically tip generously anyway, so I am used to spending $60, it's just a shame when it cuts into her tip. As I was walking out the door Kim wrote me a coupon for $5.00, so in my head I can't help but think that she knows she overcharged me?? Very weird. I will go back again, and make an appointment, and see what the experience and cost are like before I decide to continue to make Happy Nails my go-to. read more

Truong the male nail technician handled my hands today as I was a f***ing rag DOLL throughout my entire manicure. I tried to ignore it but there was one instance where I was trying to simply look at the color of my nails and Truong yanked my finger to bend it towards his view so hard I had an impulsive shout of "please don't do that again" in the salon. Tried this nail salon close to my new home after using the same nail salon in Houston for as long as I've been doing my nails. I was nervous but ended up being very pleased with how my nails turned out. Pricing was higher than i was used to paying. $110 for a refill on solar nails and a signature pedi. My technician Kim was amazing. My pedicure was nice too but water was not warm and when i asked for warmer it was scorching . I was not offered any water and waited a little for both techs even though i had appt. It was SUPER busy on a Sunday at 1pm so make sure you make an appt. You will probably still have to wait but you will feel more in control if you have one. Overall, nails will look nice but no pampering here. read more

Biggest pet peeve... not keeping the appointment time. I had to wait 30 minutes to be seated in spite of taking an appointment a week prior. I had to cancel one of my work meetings since the services would take longer than expected. I had a gel mani and signature pedicure done. The technician was friendly and did a decent job with the services. I wish she had been a little more careful with the gel polish since a few tiny bubble popped up over time that I can't get rid of. I came here for the first time cause it was the highest rated I saw in Dripping Springs. Was excited to take my fiancé cause he's just gotten out of the habit of biting his nails and was hoping they could pamper him and I and reshape his nails in particular. They ended up making his super short when he asked them to just reshape and now all the progress he's made to grow his nails has reset. With mine they also ended up making them way too short as well My ring finger in particular was made shorter than the nail bed and now uneven to the rest of my hand. They cut all of them below the tip of my nail. When I brought that up she was like "oh I'm adding a tip to them" when I never said I was doing so. The color SNS turned out nice but now my fingers feel weird cause they were all super short. As for my toes, she sadly messed up my left big toe by touching it while it was wet while trying to put their paper shoes on. Then to try to fix it did a rushed job hoping I wouldn't notice the rough tip. Over all I'm just really disappointed. If it had just been one of us that had our nails messed up I would have blamed it on the technician but it just seems like a regular practice to cut them to or below the nail bed even when asked to just reshape. Sadly we will not be returning and will go further into Austin to look for better nail service. read more

First time visiting Happy Nails and pleasantly surprised! My normal place was booked for Good Friday so decided to call Happy Nails and they were able to fit me in. I got there and they were so busy I could barely find parking. Fortunately they share a lot next next a Texaco gas station right across from Belterra entrance. The ladies were so nice and professional. I was surprised the lady who made my appointment remembered my name. She looked at me slowly said my Tony. Again, not expecting people to remember my name when they're extremely busy. Needless to say, I felt welcomed as a normal guy among so many women who they catered to. The manicurist, Dana, took extra care to thoroughly trim my cuticles, trim my nails very short and clean them. The same care and attention was given to my feet. The other place I go to normally doesn't prioritize cuticle care and nail shaping like this place. Great Experience! I had a horrible acrylic experience SOMEWHERE ELSE and had a broken nail under my nail and lots of pain in that finger. Once we communicated and they realized what was wrong Kim did an amazing job helping get the old nail off and put new, healthier ones on so it could heal. She was so gentle and understanding. I've came here so many time! This morning I came to get the acrylic removed from my toe nails. I was charged for a full pedicure that I didn't receive. The lady continues hurt my toe nail removing the acrylic with nail clippers instead of using acetone; like I asked multiple times for her to do. One of my toes nail bed is pink from her using her drill on it so hard. The acrylic is still not removed! She was intentionally trying to hurt me. I could tell she was getting frustrated when I kept on asking her over and over to remove the acrylic the proper way and she refused.
