I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and was seen immediately. Super cute inside, guy at the front seat was nice. Easy to find and pick a color. The ladies who did my mani/pedi were so kind, efficient and great! Nhu did my gel manicure (I loved how she shaped my nails) and Lyn did my toes (and was generous with the foot massage). I've gone to this place enough times now to finally give a well-versed review. I absolutely love it, customer service is outstanding, making an appointment is super easy... And I would recommend doing that rather than walking in as they are always busy. They have plenty of options for a dip powder, gel, and regular nail polish. All of the texts are super friendly and do a good job. I've only ever had a couple crooked nails... But you could hardly tell. Otherwise each time has been awesome. It is a little small, but it is open so it doesn't feel cramped at all. There isn't really any seating to wait, so that's why I would recommend making an appointment so that you don't have to wait. When you go in just make sure you use hand sanitizer, or walk to the back and wash your hands immediately. Then of course make sure to look for your color that you would like. Their pedicures are great. I just went yesterday and of course I feel super refreshed with my yellow springtime nails, this is the second time I've gotten this color because I love it so much! Definitely give them a try! P.S. I always ask for a manicure before we put my new dip powder on because my cuticles get dry and build up for sure lol. read more

This last time, i I made an appointment and I showed up for my appointment five minutes early, and two everyone that walked in behind me (who doesn't have an appointment) was dat in a chair for their pedicure as I continued to sit in the waiting area uncalled. Pros: extremely relaxing pedicure, excellent attention to detail, very gentle yet strong with a pumice stone. I usually get paraffin wax at other salons and I did not this time yet my feet are just as smooth as if I had paraffin. My technician cared about my ingrown large toenail and did such a wonderful job shaping and shortening my nails as requested. I do not feel any pressure on my ingrown nail any longer. I had a limited amount of time with being a walk-in and asked if I could be accommodated with the time that I had. My technician made sure that I was finished five minutes early. I left relaxed and on time. Fantastic massage. Excellent technique with the scrub. Cons: not enough basic nail polish color selection. Need better ventilation from other technicians dust from their work and the smell of the chemicals when you walk in is strong. Perhaps an air cleaner? Very crowded. I was a walk in and clearly many regulars made appointments. The massage chair was OK, nicely appointed leathers. I was not offered a drink of wine or refreshment of any type. I think they forgot to put the clay on my legs but I didn't miss it. read more

I'm now a regular customer and here's why. They are consistent. That matters to me and should to you, too. Easy reservation system with text reminders. I went as a drop in my first time and they got me in, but reservations are best. They are almost always fairly busy but don't rush you. I get a French manicure dip nails which lasts 4 weeks as well as a regular pedicure. Although not cheap, nail places here are just not cheap, period. But for a consistent good result that lasts Family Nails is hard to beat. read more

This place is super close by so I thought I would give it a try. The staff are friendly, and even worked around my needing to bounce a new baby to sleep during my appointment. They almost ALWAYS are booked though so can't often do a walk-in, you have to plan ahead. I'm done with this place. I've used them for a few years now. I have had dozens of gel manicures and even more pedicures here. Before they shut down for renovations and again for staff shortages, I really enjoyed them. It was a relaxed environment, with decent quality services. Their gel manicures were never the best, with the polish chipping quickly. Now, their prices went up again, and 3 gel manicures in a row have chipped in days. Many times now, with an appointment, I'm still waiting 20-25 minutes to get into a chair. Less time is spent on each service these days as well. With three friends confirming the same issues here, I am giving up and finding a new salon. read more

This place deserves a better rating. I've lived in Drip for 5 years and hadn't strayed from my normal place in Austin because the reviews for places around here weren't great. Yesterday I was in a pinch and decided to try Family Nails. They were super honest about the long wait (didn't just say 15 minutes and then trap me in a chair) so I left, ran some errands and came back and they were right on time. They wrapped my nails to remove old polish while I was waiting (love me some good time efficiency) and my finished nails look just like I wanted them! I get powder and some people do it too thick, but these are thin and lovely. I live just down the road and this is my new favorite place. I even love how much conversation was happening around the room between all employees and all customers. Highly recommend!! read more

I wanted to love this place and I did, a lot, initially. I was quick to get in, everyone was SO nice, they paid a lot of attention to detail, they were super clean and I had an overall really great experience during my appointment. However, my mani and pedi both did not last. I got a gel manicure and a deluxe pedicure on Thursday, Jan 12th. By today (Monday, Jan 16th) the chips are so bad I probably wouldn't return to this salon. The polish is also dull and my mani looks like I'm long over due. The combined service was $100 after tip and the quality just doesn't match up. :( read more

I loved this place until today. I asked for extra massage, 15 minutes' worth. When the massage started, i saw on my phone which i was holding, working on an online course, that it was 10:29 am. At 10:39 the girl stopped and a man took over painting my nails. As the girl handed me the ticket, i noticed she charged me for 15 minutes. I declined- i said i saw the time on my phone when she started and it was only 10 minutes. I would have been happy to pay for 15 minutes if that was what i got...but i hate being cheated and then made to feel like I'm the one doing the cheating! I won't be back. I have lost track of the amount of times I've attempted to come in as a "walk in" in the middle of the day, during the week, and told there's "no availability" and no follow up with "but let's get you on the schedule." I only saw one person waiting at the time and it did not appear they were extremely slammed. Please understand as a business you shouldn't advertise that you accept walk-ins if you can't take them or even attempt to fit them in; it's a waste of time and gas for the customer you just lost as well. Will never go back and do not recommend this salon when there are plenty of others who are more than willing to fit me in. read more

I thought I'd give this place a try since it has gone under new management and I really would love a salon closer to 12/290. Looks like I will continue to travel to get my nails done. I went in for a basic manicure and pedicure, no nothing special, even got clear polish! (gasp!) Basic is exactly what I got. No scrub in the foot bath, just water. No scrubbing my feet...I did sign up for a pedicure right? My feet are pretty well taken care of, I get regular pedicures, so, I don't have major work that needs to be done, just an occasional rough patch and dry heels- especially due to summer fun. Yep, nothing-- no scrubbing, no scraping, no getting the dead skin off of anything. So I waited thinking she would get around to it. Nope. After she appeared to be done and I pointed out the patches on my feet that clearly needed to be addressed she proceeded to pour cuticle oil on them-- no thanks. As far as my manicure-- it was basic-- nothing special. My fingernails were filed way too short, but that's easy to do as I have short nails. They were pretty quick and there was an available tech.. the reason for the 2 stars. read more

Upon the recommendation of a friend (who loves their work), Mom and I went in there today. I had a mani/pedi. Mom had a mani. I ALWAYS do my own nails --- and enjoy doing them ---- but boy was this a treat. Nathan, Cody, and Bee did great work for us. While this is only the 2nd time I've ever had my nails done professionally, I think my nails look great. It was a fun experience. Each technician took their time with us. I thought one nail looked a little bubbly. I asked Nathan to look at it, and it was remedied immediately --- no questions asked. Mom and I look forward to going back. I'm not sure why this place has 4.5 stars. I got a "deluxe" pedicure & gel manicure. It was rushed and the deluxe was supposed to include a longer massage and clay mask. She barely massage my feet and the paint was clumpy. The girl doing my nails had to step in for the girl doing my toes to fix it. When I brought it to the managers attention he didn't seem to care and just wanted to charge me even though I didn't get the service I paid for. read more
