I'm not someone who gets my nails done regularly, for me it's an indulgent and rare treat. Today was my first time to a salon in sonoma and it was definitely a treat! I had a very good manicure and pedicure here on short notice. They worked me in but I did not feel like they were rushing me in any way. The salon is clean well kept and friendly. It is located right near downtown square in Sonoma. The prices was average for both services. They have a good selection of OPI colors. The technician was very careful with both my nails and toes. I have natural nails now and love them. It feels so much better not having any fills or anything on them except color. They feel so much lighter. My friend and I had a delightful experience here yesterday! I called in the morning and was able to book an appointment for the two of us to get pedicures later in the day. They were busy with other clients when we arrived (we were a little bit early), but we were politely greeted and urged to select our nail colors. From start to finish, Mimi and Tony were friendly, professional and seemed quite skilled at their craft. My friend said it was one of the best pedicures she has had, and I agree. Even though they had other customers coming in, we never felt rushed and were allowed to linger and visit after we were done. The salon was clean and well appointed with a nice view out to the charming, tree lined street. I live 45 minutes away, but I think I will plan my business errands to Sonoma to include my pedicures at Beautiful Nails! read more

I have found my nail salon! From calling for an appointment through walking out the door it was a great experience. It has a nice calming vibe and everyone was friendly. Lisa gave me an excellent pedicure, was gentle, didn't cut my cuticles (per my request, some salons try to do it anyway) and gave a nice sugar scrub massage. As a recent transplant to Sonoma, I needed a pedicure. After checking out the reviews on YELP, I tried this place -- what a mistake. First of all, the spa chairs are in a state of disrepair, and a bit nasty. But I would have overlooked that fact if I walked away with pretty toes, which unfortunately was not the case. I asked the lady to cut my toenails short. She then explained that she was unable to do so. Now, having had many pedicures in the past (and knowing how to use a nail clipper), I was a bit shocked at this. But determined to leave with painted toes, I stayed. From there on it was a mess. The manicurist did not exfoliate my feet, nor did she put a base coat on my toes. When the experience was through, I looked down at my toes and she had painted my cuticles! (gasp) I just wanted out of this place! To learn, that they don't take plastic.. only cash.. So, nexttime, I'll try someplace new. read more

The man I spoke to on the phone made my appt then asked me if I lived in the area. I told him that I was just visiting, so he said in order to honor my appointment I would need to mail him a check for $50. I've been in town for six years, been through the nail places in the Maxwell Village and by CVS. Thumbs down on both. But my first time here I wandered in one afternoon for a mani-pedi, was acknowledged immediately and asked to return in 20 minutes because they had appointments. I did and had a lovely, lasting manicure with Tony who made polite as friendly conversation. The pedicure with Mimi was lovely as well, and when I called the following morning hoping to come in and use the polish to myself fix a mushed nail, she took me immediately and did it herself. They are very nice people, conveniently located and the mani-pedi lasts! So I can live with the fast massage during the services. They stop and make sure you're happy with the length of nails, with the shape of nails, with the color on the nails. Good customer service and I'll be back!! read more

Was in town for a getaway at my girlfriend's vacation home and decided to be good to me and get a mani/pedi....called on Thursday and Tony was able to fit me in at 10 on a Saturday morning. I was so pleased. I was warmly greeted and the salon was so clean and updated. The prices were very reasonable The pedi chairs had massagers that actually worked well and made you feel relaxed. Mimi was my gal, and she was so friendly. She enjoyed conversation and was very conscientious about my comfort all through the service. Nice massage with mani/pedi, too! I do get an opportunity to visit Sonoma on occasion. I will plan my salon visits around my trips from now on! read more

Worst experience! When done I looked at my toenails and saw lots of polish on my cuticles. When I asked to have it removed- Mimi was offended! Said she would "do any thing I wanted today, but I don't want to see you again"! WHAT? I was flabbergasted! What had I done? I'm the customer who paid for a pedicure! I tried to ask what was wrong and what just happened to make her angry- but she totally ignored me! I saw other reviews with the same comments! I have never written a review on yelp - until today! So you know it was a bad situation. Very awkward in front of others in the salon too. Worst, AND most expensive pedicure I've ever gotten. Called to make appt. and was quoted $25 for a French Pedicure, then told it was $30 once we started. I had to ask to have callouses pumiced, ask to have nails trimmed more, got no foot massage, no cuticle trim/push back, and the polish looks like it was done by a 3rd grader with White-Out. Called in for a 'walk in' and had to wait 1/2 hour but went to coffee shop 2 doors up. No problem as they were free when I got back. Did everything I asked for, soaked off my thick shellac instead of a buff off and took care with my sensitive nails. Tony gave me a lovely manicure and took time over my abused nails.
