Yesterday my nails were burned in the OPI dryer. The floor manager did not care at all and they charged me anyway. She immediately blamed me for getting burned!!!! I refused to argue with her, but addressed my concern. No apology. I did not feel well for the rest of the evening. The quality and customer service is severely lacking. I had taken a break from them for over a year after Kathy (the only person who they claim can actually do nail art in the spa) was rude and there were various other issues with customer service. This was the last straw. I will not return. By the way, I only got gel polish, not a manicure and it was $25. I have noticed the attitude and lack of professionalism in other nail shops throughout the area as well as beauty supply stores. I had a bad experience. I was convinced by the nail tech named Annie to to the OPI nails She said it would last 2 weeks. After 2 days it began to bubble along the edge and this was Sunday. I did not think the salon was open so I did not call and Monday was a holiday. I thought if I had time I would call to go in and have it repaired. I called and informed the salon of the problem and they said I would have to pay full price for the repair because I did not call on Sunday when I noticed the problem. So I declined, I was willing to give her a chance to correct the problem but not pay again. A much better place is on Burke Lake road near Giant by rolling road. i had no problems with them but did not make an appointment in time. Lesson learned. Good things are worth the wait. Just happened to stumble upon this place! The shop ping plaza it's in leaves a lot to be desired but once you enter the doors of Happy Nails... It's a retreat! Service at the reception desk was prompt, professional and efficient. My technician Gabby met me while I was choosing my colors and was very polite. The ambiance is very relaxing, soft music playing in the background and the wine bar definitely helps you relax and just enjoy the services you are there for. Gabby did an amazing job with her massage, not rushed thru, she made suggestions specific to my needs (she didn't choose the priciest stuff). I first came to this place looking to get a Gel Manicure and Pedicure done. The Spa Pedicure absolutely fantastic. I was in Hog Heaven. My God to see all that dead skin and callouses come off my feet and feel the air on the bottom I was like Ahhh what a feeling. Then when it came to my manicure Wendy advised me of a Dipping Nail process. I was like what is that? Wendy explained the difference between Gel Manicure & Dipping Nails. I went for the Dip as it was much easier and can I say that the polish last 3 to 4 weeks, versus Gel Manicure only 2 to 3 weeks. So yep I was quite pleased. I have been seeing Wendy for months now every 3 weeks, and she & I have even become friends too. I can not say anything horrible about this place nor about Wendy. I enjoy being pampered.. Used to come here way back in the day and I loved it so I decided to come back. First of all the receptionist is very rude. I was taken by this man for a full acrylic set and I see why it was just 25 bucks. Cheap dirty equipment. This place looks great though what's going on?? The receptionist forgot to inform him he has an appointment once he started on me so he rushed my nails and made somebody else paint my toes. I hit 2 of my nails by accident and messed them up all he did was paint over the lumpy mess. I asked the man doing my toes to fix my hand. He started obviously talking about me in his language to other employees. Furthermore they barely speak English for me to tell them what I want. Quality has gone down drastically in the past two years. I stopped doing gel manicure because it lasts about 4 days. Gorgeous salon and most appealing in Woodbridge, but their concentration has changed from quality nail service and hair wax to glitz, glam, wine and a bar that's far too large for the salon. Patrons are picking up the increased cost for the "new paint job" I'm no longer impressed with my services here and my past 8-10 visits have been less than mediocre. I kept going because of the convenience. I'm very disappointed. So the hunt begins for a new salon in Woodbridge/Lorton to receive mine and my families loyalty. Very unfortunate. read more

I really like this place and I think you can get a consistently good pedicure here. Some techs, of course, are better than others. But it's very large, clean and the chairs are nice. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because while the pedicures are nice, their manicures are usually pretty lacking. The few times I've had them done here, they felt rushed and turned out so-so. I've had my eyebrows waxed here a few times too and, again, some techs are better than others, but they've always turned out pretty good. read more

I went to Happy Nails to get a manicure and came out disappointed. I was impressed by how nice the place was when I walked in, that's the whole reason I'm giving two stars. I was a walk in but was quickly attended to. My nail tech's name was Kimberly and she texted throughout my manicure. Also I had tiny patches of gel on two of my nails and she charged me $5 to remove it? Whatever. She rushed through my cuticles then asked me to pay, I asked her to put a $5 tip on my credit card and she simply said "you don't have cash?" And when I said no, she walked away without a word. She seem dissatisfied with my answer and did a really shitty job at painting my nails, not covering the whole nail completely and did an uneven job. I honestly wish I didn't tip her at all. This is an expensive place, but doesn't deliver quality. Will not return. read more

The lady doing the pedi did half @$$ job, she rushed through the whole process because she was trying to leave. I had to ask her to use the foot razor and the whole time shes was making sneering comments. I just had a very disappointing experience here. I showed up at 5:45. Was taken to a Pedicure chair around 6 o'clock. The lady who took me to the chair walks away. Another lady came and filled the basin with water. She then walked away. The original woman came back and asked if I wanted anything to drink, but never brought never brought the drink. At 6:30 I was still sitting with nobody starting the pedicure and nobody acting like they cared. It wasn't until I got up to walk out that people wanted to help. I've been coming here for 6 years I like to have my nails and pedi done right. I may say something if my nails aren't even or if my gel nail polish bubbles I'm paying for service so I want good service. Today I was told by one of the nail tech as I sat at his table he said to get up and wait for another tech to do my nails because I complained about him not doing my nails right last time he did them mind you he did a horrible job and Nancy has to fix them. I have seen many texts in that please come and go some good some bad try to give everyone a fair chance to show their skills because you have to learn at practice but when you pay every two weeks $65 to get service done do you expect to get what you want. I've never been rude with no one their i have been friendly with everyone there including the owner Ms Linda. Then he has the nerves to talk talking his language then saying no his Face gestures his body language was horrible I already knew he was talking about me. I was so embarrassed I started to cry in the salon and no one cared to ask what happened what he say you only take that got up was Joe to ask me what happened it was I OK I got my new it done by another tech was fine at this point I just wanted to leave didn't even care to finish them up. By the time I got into my car I was so upset and I had been crying while I was getting my nails done it upset my stomach so much that I threw up. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK JUST imaging $65 every 2 weeks $130a month $1560 a year and this isn't counting tips. She never grumbled or scolded but quietly reassured me and, without drawing attention to the situation, suggested what she thought would be the best way to restore my nails to perfect health. WARNING! if you really know about GOOD nails I recommend you DO NOT go here! I got a full gel set for $45 two days later two of my nails popped right off! IT DIDNT EVEN HURT!! Just came right off! Worse place ever for eyebrows! I just came from there and I was So mad I didnt even hear the name of the person who did my eyebrows. To start off, she put wax all the way down to my crease line and the inner eye corner. Honestly, my brows have never been so thin in my life and I have two holes in one of them. NOT pretty at all. Happy nails? More like unhappy nails! I paid 43 for a gel refill & the lady didn't do my nails nice & I hated them. I asked to get them redone, because they said if I don't like them in three days I can get them redone for free. I went back and they wouldn't do them over again, but this lady named Lynn said she'd give me a full set for free. It hasn't even been a week though and my GEL nail polish is chipping. I didn't pay 43 dollars for my GEL nail polish to chip. I will never go back to unhappy nails again. The only reason I will go back is so Lynn can do my nails for free. read more
