My dog, Rocky, is a sweetheart, but unfortunately, she got a bit traumatized when she was a puppy because of a bad nail trim she received that left her bleeding for a really long time. Honestly, that incident was traumatic for me as well. Over the years of off-and-on service at Petco, we'd sometimes get lucky and Rocky would have Amy as her groomer. Only recently did I realize I could request a groomer, but last week when I didn't see Amy's name online, I immediately called Petco to put in a verbal request. NOT to my surprise, the groomer who answered shared that Amy was no longer with Petco and that she had started her own mobile grooming business.. then he gave me her number. Lol!! Today was Rocky's lucky day! She got her deep cleaning bath and pampering, with nail trim and buff - The Bath & Brush package. Very reasonably priced, comparable to salon rates, with the option for the 4 Paw Professionals mobile service. Since we just moved into our new home and I had some cleaning to do, I figured, why not, let's have Rocky pampered right outside our home. Very affordable addition to the grooming package; $20 for the convenience of having them come to you. Time is money, so I feel that is spot on since I live in Ewa and Amy is based out of Mililani. Anyways, long story short - if you need grooming, I say with 100% confidence that you should try 4 Paw Professionals!! They don't have many reviews yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. The vet clinic closes at 7 PM and takes their last appointment at 6 PM, so I'm grateful walk-ins are an option. Marissa at the Hawaii Pet Vet counter was very friendly, and I really appreciated Dallas's energy as well. The entire staff at the Medical Center was fantastic. The PetSmart manager was also so kind, and the team made us feel very welcome. This PetSmart will definitely be my go-to, not only because they have a grooming option but also because they have an on-site veterinary clinic. I loved that someone checked in on us during our visit to make sure we were comfortable, and a young lady even gave Scrappy a sweet welcome pet that made him feel loved. That kind of thoughtfulness means a lot. I also noticed they have great clearance deals on tough toys, which is perfect since Scrappy is definitely a chewer and destroyer, lol. Overall, this was an amazing first visit. I'm so grateful for the warm, friendly community I've found here in Hawaii, and I want to thank the entire PetSmart team for such a great experience.

She said that her mom opened up this business 20 years ago (sorry, I forgot to catch her name!) Next time we're also going to do a teeth brushing and maybe a paw shave too. 04/26/2026 @1:30pm: I just moved home and was hoping to find my boy a new groomer. I walked in and…read morechecked in and she seemed a little overwhelmed/wanting to get the day done with (we were her last client of the day). She asked me what kind of cut I wanted and I let her know I wanted a mohawk style cut and she said she didn't understand what I wanted, I then tried to show her using my dogs body and she was still confused and started getting an attitude. She told me to pick a blade size before she could proceed and I tried telling her that I wanted to first show her what I meant and she ignored it and walked away and turned off the music and then started to walk back. My mom had been with me and told me I should leave and not allow her to cut my dog. She must've overheard my mom say this because her attitude immediately shifted and she became a little bubbly and kinder. I let her know I didn't want the mohawk anymore because it seemed too difficult to communicate with her what I wanted and I would just do a trim all over and to round his face out. She then let me know typically only poodles do that cut and asked if I was sure I wanted that cut (completely unnecessary comment). I let her know he has been getting groomed and that is his typical cut when we don't do something fun/funky. I only stayed because my dog was in need of a haircut and I was already there. I really hoped the haircut would come out great since it was the same cut on his entire body and then just face shaping and she made it a point to let me know she's been a stylist for 30 years. I had to fix up the parts that were extremely uneven and I fixed behind his ears which were not groomed in the same places. She also let me know when I picked him up how much of a good boy he was for her so I'm even more confused by the uneven cutting. I will definitely not be returning and I am so disappointed by her service because the guy (Chris) who booked my appointment was so friendly and helpful.
