First of all, when my dog showed signs of distress, the groomer immediately started scolding her, as if she was taking her stress out on my dog. Like, WTF? When I tried to step in, she walked toward the door to the back room which was super sus. I could tell the other groomer, who was working on another dog, noticed how bad the situation was getting and stepped in to help hold my dog. So I continued to monitor what was happening. When she finished, she walked toward me with a defensive attitude and said she "trimmed one of the nails too short, but it's not bleeding so it's fine." WTF? I asked her to show me which nail she meant, and she couldn't even identify it. When I saw it, it was trimmed really short and clearly looked painful. No wonder my dog was in distress. Then, as soon as I got into the car, I noticed bleeding on her back paw. I ran back in and told them my dog was bleeding, and again she got defensive, saying "Where? Where?" and tried to yank my dog's paws to check herself. When she finally saw the bleeding, she grabbed some kind of ointment or quick-stop powder and said, "Accidents happen." Uh, no. This wasn't an accident, it was incompetence. Honestly, her license should be reconsidered given her hostility toward animals and lack of technical skill. There was even more BS that came out of her mouth, but I won't bother including it here. Someone like her should not be handling pets at all. I was speechless at how unprofessional she was -- and even more shocked to learn that she is one of the owners, based on the photo here on Yelp. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

My pug has a habit of scratching my mother and grandmother who have delicate and sensitive skin, so it's very important to keep the nails under control. Pugs are notoriously difficult to trim, and somehow Marlyna has discovered how to tame the beast! Thank you!
