I called Happy Rooter after another plumber didn't show up and the owner Sam was super nice. He chase me an hour window time that he would be by to look at my broken hose pipe that was connected to our main line. We had no water over night. He showed up and was on time! I was so happy with his service. He went above and beyond. He suggested that we do a water shut off valve at the main hose area so the secondary hose (the one that broke) if it were to ever break again then we wouldn't loose water to the whole house. He added the valve and fixed my hose pipe all in just over an hour. He was super nice, professional and reliable. I would recommend Happy Rooter to anyone needing plumbing service and would call him back again for any future repairs. Just hope I never have to! But that's part of being a home owner. Over charging for parts and then saying it's because you had to go them is deceit. You knew what parts were needed and they weren't anything special so why you didn't have them when you showed up to do the job the next appointment makes no sense. And then to lie and claim the part was $40 when it was $8.60 was lying. And then when I called to talk to the owner I was told he would return my call. He returned it alright. He was ticked off. Telling me he's the cheapest in town and that he had no clue who I was. No we are not friends so of course you have no clue who I am. But I would expect knowing I was a previous satisfied customer would have made a difference when I felt this time I was deceived. Nope. Sam was nasty towards me. I hung up because I wasn't going to continue to listen to him yell at me. At least the more expensive companies give a complete breakdown of cost and don't hike up a part charge to cover for gas. Telling me a $8.60 part could cost between $40 and $100. Ridiculous. Btw, cleaning up after yourself would have been nice and calling to advise you would be early when I explicitly said not to come before 10 may have made a difference as well. I'm disgusted with your company. It's a good thing you don't rely on the little guy to keep your business going. read more

We called Happy Rooter, got an estimate and hired them to do a major job: sub-floor re-pipe and trenchless sewer line replacement. Butch and Kyle came to give us an estimate within 2 days of our inquiry. The pricing was excellent compared to other estimates (especially by a well-advertised local company). Our brother had also previously used them and recommended them. We hired Happy Rooter last week. Butch and Kyle came on Thursday and Friday. Then Saturday, Butch, Kyle and Shawn came to complete the outside sewer line replacement and cleaned up everything by 2:00 pm. We were amazed at their work and diligence. They NEVER show up on time and they only offer hours during regular business hours; so when they run 2-3 hours (EVERY TIME I HAVE USED THEM) it becomes quite difficult to explain to bosses why you are returning to work hours after you said. When the plumber contacts you (usually an hour after he was supposed to arrive) they offer no way to reschedule with them. My landlord insists on using this company but if you have the choice DO NOT! Happy Rooter is awesome. My kitchen sink clogged up and I called Happy Rooter since they had done work for me in the past. James ran the line, cleared up the problem, and was soon on is his way. The problem was, when we ran the dishwasher, the sink backed up again. We called them back and setup an appointment for around noon the next day. James called me and pushed us back to 5:30 pm as other jobs were running long. Unfortunately, he couldn't make that time either and I was surprised when he and his crew showed up at 9:30 pm and finished the job! He said since he overlooked running the line the other way there was no charge. Happy Rooter is dependable, doesn't overcharge, and gets my highest recommendation. read more

Sam is amazing! It was 11:45pm and our toilets were clogged. We used a plunger and plumbing snake and neither worked. The water in the toilet bowl eventually went down only to get relocated in the bathtubs. I called multiple places trying to see if anyone could come out to help take a look at it - all said they could come in the morning at 10am (I know it was late but I was desperate). I found Sam on Yelp and decide to give him a call. He answered and walked us through how to get it temporarily unclogged (thank goodness). He was so patient, kind, and understanding. He came out the next morning and helped clear the pipeline incase there were any other build ups. The service was fast and the price was definitely reasonable. Thank you, Sam! read more

Beware! Do your homework with BBB and Contractor's board. Get a second opinion before you let these guys do any work on your home. They have many violations and complaints that I did not find until after I began filing my complaint with the Contractors Board. Happy Rooter did not get a permit for work done at my home until after they were notified of my complaint. Their work was substandard and I had another plumber re-do it in order to clear the permit. read more

They've come to my house to clear pipe blockages twice (two different lines) and just yesterday ran 40 ft of gas line and installed my new gas log set, which I love!! After reading all the bad reviews by people who have used happy rooter, I agree with most of them they do a subpar work they charge Waymore than other plumbers and I would never use them again. The last time I use them to come out to a rental they told me that the underside of the house was flooded from broken pipes and they wanted twi thousand dollars to fix it. I called out another company who crawled under the house and I went with them and found no water under the house there was a drain line that been plugged up they freed it cost me $75 and all was good do not use happy Rooter. read more
