After reading all the bad reviews by people who have used happy rooter, I agree with most of them they do a subpar work they charge Waymore than other plumbers and I would never use them again. The last time I use them to come out to a rental they told me that the underside of the house was flooded from broken pipes and they wanted twi thousand dollars to fix it. I called out another company who crawled under the house and I went with them and found no water under the house there was a drain line that been plugged up they freed it cost me $75 and all was good do not use happy Rooter. read more

2018, updating comments for Happy Rooter. This service company is still our one and only plumbing call when needed ! Since last posting, our family has had hot water heater repairs, a new hot water heater installed and kitchen sink replaced/installed. Every job has been stellar. Anthony and his assistant (I'm embarrassed I don't know his name), couldn't be more caring about doing a quality job. Even when a little item needs follow up visit, it's all good. I simply cannot say enough good about the care, service and work they have done for our family (4 separate properties over 10+ years). The two gentlemen who showed up were kind enough to take off their shoes after they were asked to do so but they sure made a mess in the bathroom. They unhooked the pipes under the sink, and when black stuff started oozing out, they helped themselves to a good towel and used it to soak it up. Why didn't they have a bucket? In the process of using the snake, they sprayed the black goop around the vanity and into a drawer. And so while they unclogged the pipe, I would not used them again. Their price was inexpensive but you get what you pay for. I would rather have paid more so I didn't have to clean up afterwards. read more

If I could give this company a -10, I would. The person who answers the phone has absolutely NO personality. Very cold. They should not be in customer service. You want the customer to be happy when calling. Not depressed when getting off the phone. I was desperate for a company that was semi close. Found this company and mistakenly phoned. This has been a few months ago. Needless to say, for a fix that cost $250-, from a reputable company, Happy Rooter wanted to charge $3000-. Stop robbing your customers. When we told our landlord we needed a plumber, he recommended Happy Rooter right away, which was my first sign that they were going to be great. I called on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to have a real-live person pick up the phone instead of an answering machine. The very personable receptionist set me up with an appointment for the next morning, quoting me a window between 11am and 1pm (after offering me friendly advice about having plumbing repairs done as a renter, and taking great care to ensure there would be no confusion that would lead to my husband and I being billed directly for the repairs). The plumbers showed up at 10:45am, were very friendly (again, even offering some friendly advice after I embarrassingly explained my attempt at DIY repairs), and fixed the problem right away. In fact, I joked as they were leaving that they were in and out before they had even anticipated getting there! (They were out the door at 11am). The problem was fixed, they took great care to clean my bathroom up afterwards, and they were extremely friendly the whole time. Sam always does a great job and has been taking care of our home for a long time. I was having a leak in between the first and second floor shower and he determined that it is a tile problem. HOWEVER - DO NOT USE the tile guy that he recommends (John Capp) if you end up needing tile repair. I had a really difficult time with him and ultimately we went with someone else. He no-showed or cancelled our appointment times THREE times, once without even calling to tell me he wasn't coming, and when I expressed that I was frustrated and found him difficult to work with, told me to go find someone else. AVOID JOHN CAPP. Sam is great though. read more

This is the second time we've used Happy Rooter and we couldn't be happier. They are hands-down the best plumbers ever (and we have been through more plumbers than we care to mention). They consistently do great work at a more than fair price, they are friendly and, each visit, they have fixed things we didn't even know needed fixing. We have used them for installation of a new faucet, drainage problems, and pipe replacement under our bathroom sink. We are so relieved to have found a top-notch plumber. Excellent job! I called them because my sink was backing up and had already had my handyman look at it and clean it once. They came out the same day and did a great job. They even told me how to clean the problem myself in the future (how to unlatch something to get at the top part of the drain before the p-trap). Very professional, honest and reliable. I've used Happy Rooter quite often (I have rental properties), and they have always done an excellent job. Once when something didn't work out, they returned a couple of times and made sure it was made right. On a recommendation we contacted them to unclog our sewer drain. Anthony arrived Monday afternoon and went right to work trying to unclog the sewer line. After a few hours he said that he was unable to get it unclogged suggested we have a trench less line installed. Anthony returned on Tuesday afternoon to try again to see if he could locate the problem before going any farther. To make a long story short it was determined the line to the main sewer was broken under our back room which made it impossible to fix. They returned on Wednesday @ 9:00, went straight to work jack hammering clay tiles and cement in order to re route the new line to the main sewer line. They finished at 2:00 pm. They cleared all the broken concrete and clay tiles and extra dirt. They were very professional and prompt. They were right on the estimate. We will definitely recommended them to any one. Not sure if I can give a 0 rating. I would if I could. I can say that he was very quick to respond. We are landlords and live over an hour away. Our tenant was having a problem with her toilet backing up into the tub. Our plumber was not available. Sam was very quick to respond, but once there he refused to do anything saying anything would be improper other than a major overhaul. He gave us a $2250.00 estimate to fix the problem. We were not going to authorize the work on the spot to a company we do not know without investigating the problem and getting other estimates. When asked if he would do a temporary fix until we could have our property maintenance person investigate and get further estimates he refused and charged us $92.50 for coming out. By the time we figured out we made a big mistake it was too late to call someone else so our tenant had to live with this problem overnight. Also the agreement from the first conversation was we would pay for the work, but the tenant felt pressured to pay and also to authorize the work. read more
