    Calamari

Happy Snapper Seafood Restaurant is a great place tucked away in a quiet little shopping plaza in Belle Isle with a little sign that I would never had noticed had I not been looking for it. Walking in, I was greeted by a friendly young gentleman. I had placed a to-go order and within minutes, my food was handed to me. I had ordered the grouper with fried rice and vegetable medley and the calamari appetizer. I have to say that both the grouper and calamari were excellent. The fried rice and vegetable medley were also pretty amazing. The prices here are very good. The grouper plate was about twenty-two dollars and the calamari was about eighteen dollars. The quality of the food could definitely rival more expensive restaurants. I will definitely have to return here and I will give it five stars for an incredible meal.

We had to take a trip to downtown Orlando and decided to stop here for lunch, though the restaurant was not busy, we saw a lot of take out orders going out. Our fish sandwiches, grouper and snapper were both well prepared and very tasty, the bread was nicely toasted and the toppings were fresh. The dill Yuca was a tasty surprise. Service was great. Definitely recommend.

Happy Snapper was a small nice off south side of Orange ave. As shown in the video place has sitting area. But it's not huge. Our server was okay could do better on asking if we ever been here and explain the menu. Felt a lil rushed. I ordered the Blackened Salmon (as shown below) I had two sides. The rice was okay. Broccoli was amazing !!! My mom had the fried rice and shrimp w/the sauce on the side. She said it was okay. I give my Salmon a 4/5 just next i won't order that white rice. Side note for those who ordered the crab legs everything is MP and sides are all sold a la carte. Just little note Will I return? Probably not. I had it and that's all i need.

This place is a neighborhood gem. Strip mall-ish outside, but clean and friendly inside. Everything we had was delicious from the shrimp fried rice to the paella. Service was great and friendly and helpful. Great place for fresh seafood!

Visited on a Friday evening about 1.5 hours before closing, so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The restaurant has a cozy, dimly lit atmosphere with limited seating--around six tables total. Service was quick, and our food arrived in good time. I started with the crab soup, which was excellent. It had a flavorful bisque-like consistency--not too thick or watered down--just perfectly balanced. For my main course, I ordered a seafood boil. Since it was à la carte, I chose snow crab, paired with corn and sausage. The flavors were on point, and I'd definitely order it again. However, for almost $30, I was disappointed that it only included one snow crab cluster. It felt a bit overpriced for the portion size. One suggestion for improvement: it would have been nice if they offered wet wipes or napkins for cleaning up after the meal. I ended up heading to the restroom to wash my hands instead. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd recommend it to others, especially if you're craving a solid seafood boil.

Wonderful hidden jam of a restaurant the owner is very family oriented and always makes you feel welcome. I have ordered from here many times and I am never disappointed.. The steamed oysters and shrimp scampi are my favorite menu items. 10 out of 10 would recommend

I got the crab legs, dill yuca, raw oysters and blue crab bisque. Everything was great but the bisque was the highlight. Next time I'm going to try the blacked grouper.

The grouper was prepared perfectly. Grouper is one of my favorite fish. One complaint was with the tomatoes. They were a very light pink color and had no taste. The fries were crispy and hot. The service was good

Pan seared snapper, dill potatoes, vegetable medley.

The appearance of this place is definitely a little underwhelming, but for what is lacking is made up in absolutely FLAVORFUL food!! I ordered the snapper, which is blackened and pan seared, it was served with mixed vegetables and dill roasted red skin potatoes. I dang near licked the plate! Best meal I've had all vacation!! The sever was a genuine sweetheart. I have already began referring family and friends. Definitely will be back.

This is my second time in. Love them !! Awesome customer service. Hot fresh, delicious food. I always want more after I'm done eating blessed are the hands that prepared the food. If you haven't been, pay them a visit. They are a hidden gem for sure. My brother ordered the blackened snapper and it was soooo good.

Blue crab soup- I took the pic half way through as I was too excited to get started eating when I first got the bowl! This is a MUST!!!

Okay everyone needs to run and have the blue crab soup! Like for real!! That soup was absolutely delicious, filled with so much crab meat, incredible fresh flavor and served piping hot freshly made. Even my husband whose not a soup person ordered it and said it was one of the best he's had. We also split the blackened whole snapper and really enjoyed it. Tasted very fresh, and great seasoning. The potatoes as a side is a must- they had such good flavor! Will def be back- especially for that soup

Not in what you would say is the greatest location. Just not in the place you'd think a restaurant would be. That's not a negative just found it interesting. We were seated right away and opted for outside dining. You can see a lake across the street but if parking is full it's kinda blocked. But we really liked the vibe there. Laid back. Had some music going. We enjoyed eating out there. All of our meals were excellent. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich (yum). We also got the mexi-cal bowl and the fajitas. They both were also yummy. We decided for the s'mores as dessert. We figured they'd bring out already made s'mores. But no. They bring you out the chocolate the marshmallows and the graham crackers and you cook it right there at your table with this mini fire thingy. It was good. The only thing I would have changed is that they brought out the chocolate ice cold so it didn't melt too well. But it was good. The star of our experience was our waiter. He was awesome. Very attentive, always keeping our drinks filled and super friendly. Having a great waiter just puts good meals over the top. Wish I would have grabbed his name so I could give him a shout out here. But he was working the outside tables on Saturday Apollo 18. Great job man. Overall, give this place a shot. Unique dishes that satisfies the taste buds. We'll be back.

We started with the She Crab Soup, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I then ordered the Dirty Rice Entrée, and wow--what an explosion of flavors! It reminded me of a New Orleans-style paella, loaded with perfectly seasoned dirty rice, andouille sausage, shrimp, and an incredible depth of flavor in every bite. My husband began with the French Vegetable Soup, which he described as magnificent, followed by the Short Rib Sliders, which were tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. For dessert, we indulged in the Peach Cobbler à la Mode, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. It was decadent, comforting, and the perfect ending to the meal. To top it all off, we enjoyed a frothy cappuccino served with a rock candy sugar stick--a beautiful finishing touch. The food, presentation, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. We can't say enough good things about our experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!
