Grouper sandwich with dill yuca
Indera H.

We had to take a trip to downtown Orlando and decided to stop here for lunch, though the restaurant was not busy, we saw a lot of take out orders going out. Our fish sandwiches, grouper and snapper were both well prepared and very tasty, the bread was nicely toasted and the toppings were fresh. The dill Yuca was a tasty surprise. Service was great. Definitely recommend.

Happy Snapper was a small nice off south side of Orange ave. As shown in the video place has sitting area. But it's not huge. Our server was okay could do better on asking if we ever been here and explain the menu. Felt a lil rushed. I ordered the Blackened Salmon (as shown below) I had two sides. The rice was okay. Broccoli was amazing !!! My mom had the fried rice and shrimp w/the sauce on the side. She said it was okay. I give my Salmon a 4/5 just next i won't order that white rice. Side note for those who ordered the crab legs everything is MP and sides are all sold a la carte. Just little note Will I return? Probably not. I had it and that's all i need.

This place is a neighborhood gem. Strip mall-ish outside, but clean and friendly inside. Everything we had was delicious from the shrimp fried rice to the paella. Service was great and friendly and helpful. Great place for fresh seafood!

Wonderful hidden jam of a restaurant the owner is very family oriented and always makes you feel welcome. I have ordered from here many times and I am never disappointed.. The steamed oysters and shrimp scampi are my favorite menu items. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Visited on a Friday evening about 1.5 hours before closing, so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The restaurant has a cozy, dimly lit atmosphere with limited seating--around six tables total. Service was quick, and our food arrived in good time. I started with the crab soup, which was excellent. It had a flavorful bisque-like consistency--not too thick or watered down--just perfectly balanced. For my main course, I ordered a seafood boil. Since it was à la carte, I chose snow crab, paired with corn and sausage. The flavors were on point, and I'd definitely order it again. However, for almost $30, I was disappointed that it only included one snow crab cluster. It felt a bit overpriced for the portion size. One suggestion for improvement: it would have been nice if they offered wet wipes or napkins for cleaning up after the meal. I ended up heading to the restroom to wash my hands instead. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd recommend it to others, especially if you're craving a solid seafood boil.

Pan seared snapper, dill potatoes, vegetable medley.

The appearance of this place is definitely a little underwhelming, but for what is lacking is made up in absolutely FLAVORFUL food!! I ordered the snapper, which is blackened and pan seared, it was served with mixed vegetables and dill roasted red skin potatoes. I dang near licked the plate! Best meal I've had all vacation!! The sever was a genuine sweetheart. I have already began referring family and friends. Definitely will be back.

Blue Crab Bisque

I got the crab legs, dill yuca, raw oysters and blue crab bisque. Everything was great but the bisque was the highlight. Next time I'm going to try the blacked grouper.

Grouper sandwich

The grouper was prepared perfectly. Grouper is one of my favorite fish. One complaint was with the tomatoes. They were a very light pink color and had no taste. The fries were crispy and hot. The service was good

This is my second time in. Love them !! Awesome customer service. Hot fresh, delicious food. I always want more after I'm done eating blessed are the hands that prepared the food. If you haven't been, pay them a visit. They are a hidden gem for sure. My brother ordered the blackened snapper and it was soooo good.

I'm a big fan of grouper, and whenever I'm in Florida, I make it a point to get a sandwich. Fresh grouper can be hard to find in the Orlando area, but this place delivered one of the best I've had. It was fresh, perfectly seasoned, not overdone, just right. Great service too.

I originally ordered sausage, egg, and cheese, but then I saw the bacon, egg, and cheese and asked whether I could switch it. The gentleman behind the counter said they could do both, then asked whether I wanted to add a hash brown too. Obviously, I said yes. He told me they would make basically anything I wanted as long as they had the ingredients, and I absolutely loved that energy. The sandwich was huge, super cheesy, messy in the best way, and packed with sausage, bacon, egg, and a crispy hash brown. It was a very generous portion and completely worth the price. This is definitely going into my breakfast-sandwich rotation. My fiancé ordered the Godfather, which was also delicious. It is definitely on the messier side, though, so if you are getting it to go or traveling any distance, I would recommend asking for the vinaigrette on the side. Ray's has strong neighborhood bodega vibes, generous portions, and the kind of menu where they are willing to customize your order instead of making things complicated. My only minor critique is that one employee could have been a little friendlier, but everyone else made the experience enjoyable. Another great visit, and we will absolutely be back.

The service was quick, we waited about 8-10 minutes for our order. The egg was cooked perfectly, just the way I like it. We both loved the cheese and the way it still dripped into the sandwich. The steak sorta tasted synthetic but regardless, my girlfriend and I commented that we would come again for their lunch items.

When booking the reservation we were told it would be $30 to bring our own cake. Because I eat here so much I asked to speak with the owner who wasn't available so I decided I would talk to "Alex" when I got there. We arrived and were recognized as past guest. I asked about the cake and was told that's the policy. I let it go still expecting a amazing dinner birthday celebration. We were all amen to a table for 10. Barely enough elbow room so I requested a small table placed at the end which was accommodated. Never thought there was an issue. To top things off there was no AC. Which sitting that close together would have made the experience even worse if the other table wasn't placed. We were told the AC was fine but yet the restaurant never got even close to cool. I had to fan my wife over and over during our meal. We were all sweating and uncomfortable. Yet the food was delievered very slowly but was good as usual. After the meal the server offered a free bottle of wine for 5 good Google reviews or 2 bottles for 10 reviews which many at the table did. NONE of this would have stopped me from going back. It's Florida and AC goes out but why lie? I then received the check and 20% extra was added for a large group. Normal. I even tipped the waiter an extra 20%. This morning at 10am I received a call from Alex the owner who said we are persona non grata in other words we are not welcome there again. When I asked why he said because we asked for a new table and asked about the charge for the cake and complained about the AC. This is how you treat LONG TERM customers in today's economy? We've been loyal for more than 10years. My recommendation is to NEVER eat here. If they don't value a customer of 10 years they will never value a new one. Our request were simple. Nothing was demanded or expressed rudely. I have spent tons of money there and referred literally a hundred people. Never again. My goal is to show people that Tartinis does not value their customers. For icing on the cake. I am a 100% disabled army veteran. I am asking all my brothers and sisters to share the message about Tartinis.

So the banh mi was huge! The bread was fresh and buttery soft. All of the condiments on the sandwich were fresh and crispy and added that perfect bite you want in a banh mi. The only complaint I had for the bahn mi was the chicken is a bit on the drier side and maybe it's because it's shredded. However, the condiments and sauce make up for the amazing flavor profile. I have added this to my collection for whenever I'm in need of a filling and delicious banh mi with a boba tea post mall errands.

Service was upbeat and patient even though the line kept moving. The staff did a nice job guiding first-timers through the menu and explaining the bakery items and drinks. I ordered: - Iced chai latte: honestly disappointing, it was not very rich or spiced and tasted a bit watered down - Empanada de carne (beef): hot, savory, and well-seasoned with a satisfying flaky crust - Hawaiian croissant (ham, white cheese, fresh pineapple): surprisingly good sweet and savory combo that worked better than expected I love how addicting and well the salsa de ajo pairs with the hot bites! The food overall was fresh and comforting, especially the baked items and savory bites. The chai just did not match the level of everything else. The vibe works for both grab-and-go and sitting down to linger. You can easily pop in for a quick bite or settle into a table and take your time with coffee and pastries. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and variety. Parking was easy in the small lot when I went, though it could get tight during peak hours. Great for anyone who loves Latin bakery classics and savory comfort food. I would come back for the food, just not the chai.

We were seated right away and opted for outside dining. You can see a lake across the street but if parking is full it's kinda blocked. But we really liked the vibe there. Laid back. Had some music going. We enjoyed eating out there. All of our meals were excellent. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich (yum). We also got the mexi-cal bowl and the fajitas. They both were also yummy. We decided for the s'mores as dessert. We figured they'd bring out already made s'mores. But no. They bring you out the chocolate the marshmallows and the graham crackers and you cook it right there at your table with this mini fire thingy. It was good. The only thing I would have changed is that they brought out the chocolate ice cold so it didn't melt too well. But it was good. The star of our experience was our waiter. He was awesome. Very attentive, always keeping our drinks filled and super friendly. Having a great waiter just puts good meals over the top. Wish I would have grabbed his name so I could give him a shout out here. But he was working the outside tables on Saturday Apollo 18. Great job man. Overall, give this place a shot. Unique dishes that satisfies the taste buds. We'll be back.
