So I've been to this place a couple times now with my friend and each time we come we under underestimate the size of the bucket of oysters and leave her overly full. For a bucket of raw oysters makes this place the most affordable place to get oysters. With your oysters. You get a bag of crackers and your own personal shucker. We've had the same server the last two times and I'm kicking myself for not knowing her name. But she is awesome. She does a great job of getting all of the oysters out of the shells and record time and she is always chatting with us. In addition to the bucket of oysters, we have also tried the fried oysters and the seafood boil. Fried oysters but the seafood boil was delicious. If you want they also have other menu options if you're not craving oysters. Our last visit I found a big Pearl and one of my oysters which is a rarity. So I felt very lucky. Lucky that I didn't chip my tooth from chomping on it. LOL They do have two types of hot sauces and can give you butter if you'd like some. They also give you horseradish to go with your oysters. Sadly, they did not have any soy sauce. Don't judge. If you're craving oysters at a reasonable price, head down to Lee and Rick's oyster bar. Out of the 30 years I lived in Orlando, I havent been to this staple. Today was the day and it didnt disappoint. For their 75th anniversary, they had a 29.75 for a bucket of oysters for all of Sept. Which the bucket, you get when eating at the oyster bar and about 30-35 comes in them. You could have them raw, cooked or both. I did half raw and the other half cooked medium. My server was kind and gave me all the works to have with my oysters. This included butter, horseradish, crackers, lemons, lemon juice, cocktail sauce, hot sauce and ketchup. He said the oysters get shipped pretty much daily. Definitely helped my oysters craving. Of course I was still a bit hungry so he recommend me a few items and I decided on the jalapeño poppers. What an experience it was! Amazing service, authentic amazing experience, watching the team shucked oysters right in front of me. So I have a large list of restaurants that win Best Of awards, and I'll RNG for where to eat on the weekends. One recent weekend, I rolled for Lee and Ricks! I had never heard of it, but when I got to exploring the website, I learned all about its rich history and how ingrained it was to the local community. Well, finding diamonds in the rough like this really get me excited, I was ready! We pull up, see this shanty town looking shack, and my excitement turns up to 11. I always negatively correlate appearance to quality of food. Fancy places make be suspicious, but places like this, I know there's good food within. So anyway, we go inside and see a dining reminiscent of the inside of a tugboat. Dark and nautical and a bar lined with ice and oysters. Very cool. We take our seat in a nearby booth, and start checking out the menu. I got some sweet tea to sip on while I browsed, and boy it was sweeeet. So be forewarned. Also, after we ordered, we got a whole sleeve of saltine crackers to munch on, which was very nice. Very Olive Garden and Red Lobster-like. It also went well with our entrees. I ordered the Steamed Seafood Platter (Shrimp, snow crab, mussels, crawfish, clams, corn & potatoes). I had been craving a seafood boil for a longgg time, so I jumped on the opportunity. It was a very good seafood boil for the Orlando area. Everything was a little overcooked and a tad big rubbery, but the seasoning was on point. I also got the chance to eat some of the Seafood Combination Platter (Fried shrimp, clam strips, krab cakes and fish. Captain size portions served with French Fries and ). In terms of seafood platters, this one was a much better example of a fried sampler. Everything was crispy and not oily or anything. Amazing shrimps. Definitely need that coleslaw to help break up all that heavy fried. I ordered a dozen of oysters steamed , they are MP so it was about $29 dollars for a dozen . I also ordered a half dozen of steamed peel and eat shrimp which is cooked in butter. They bring you out a roll of crackers and a thing of hot sauce . The guy shucked the oysters as he laid them on the table. I paired it with a lemonade and I was very satisfied. This place smells just like what you can expect from an oyster bar. The customer service was great and service was fast. I left full and spent less than $50 for what I got. I would def go back . Love Lee and Ricks! We've been here a few times always saying we want to try more of their menu, but we always end up just ordering 2-3 buckets of oysters. We sit at the bar and they shuck the oysters right in front of you. They give you sleeves of crackers, horseradish, hot sauce, lemon juice, and cocktail sauce with your oysters. I've tried counting how many oysters are in a bucket, but it's always been anywhere from 30-40 or so oysters. Some were as big as my palm! What an experience! I had no idea what I had gotten myself into when a co-worker recommended Lee & Ricks to this out-of-towner! I'd wanted some fresh seafood and boy did I get some! A worn cement bar greets you and fills up most of the establishment, which is where I'd recommend you sit as that is where the action is. Tiffany immediately served me a whole sleeve of saltines and some squeeze bottles (lemon juice, cocktail sauce and hot sauce). I asked her what sort of beer she had on tap and she listed 3 options and asked if I wanted a half- or full-pitcher. When I cautiously said the half-pitcher, she said good choice because it's $5 for the half-pitcher but $3 for the mug! Honestly, I am not much into oysters, much less raw oysters so I ordered the steamed seafood platter (just under $30). When the enormous platter arrived, I noticed there were no utensils and checked with Tiffany if it is an "all hands" meal. She laughingly but politely asked if I wanted a crab fork which I declined wanting the full experience. The seafood was super fresh, hot and delicious! So many different kinds (crab, crayfish, mussels, clams, shrimp with corn & potatoes too!) and huge tubs of melted butter! Tiffany asked if I wanted to try an oyster and I figured why not? She shucked one for me right there and it made me regret not getting the bucket of oysters! Super fresh and yummy, reminded me of the sea in a good way. If you're visiting the Orlando area looking for good oysters that won't break the bank (cheap compared to many other establishments in town)...go to Lee and Ricks. This holw in the wall restaurant modeled to look like a boat is in serious need of updating. The small entryway into the front door dawned a wasp nest with live wasps the day we visited in May 2025, so that was a bit worrying. The service was lacking for the emptiness of the dining room, but in our servers' defense, she was shucking oysters and using the oven to cook orders. Short staffed? I enjoyed the ice cold raw oysters and the medium well cooked ones. They were cleaned well and fresh. They come with horseradish, lemon slices, hot sauce and cocktail sauce. We enjoyed the complimentary crackers they provide while you wait on your meal. The homemade cocktail sauce is the bomb and we used 1/2 the bottle. My bro-in-law got the catfish and stated it was fishy, but he ate every last bit, so I guess it was still tasty. My hub got the fried white fish. It was breaded and seasoned well and tasted fresh. You sit at a bar and there is a trough with a trash can in front of you for you to toss your shells in. Your server is also your oyster shucker which is great because that's hard work. Our server immediately helped us to some drinks and took our order; we got a dozen oysters and the seafood steamer. The oysters came out immediately and our server did an excellent job of shucking them as we enjoyed them. They were delicious and came with a healthy serving of horseradish and lemon slices. We really enjoyed them! I do wish we'd had plates or something to put them on since they weren't that well washed. There was a lot of dirt on the outside and they got the counter dirty. The napkins weren't super heavy duty so it was hard to clean it off. The seafood steamer was a bit of a let down. It was overall under seasoned and overdone. It had clams, mussels, crab, shrimp, crawfish, corn, and potatoes. We expected more food than we got. All the seafood except for the crab was on the rubbery side. The corn was honestly the best part, but it needed some salt and pepper. We couldn't find our server anywhere, so we asked someone else for salt and pepper. She said she'd bring it but didn't. I also wish we had plates since we were splitting our food, but we were sharing the big basket it came in. We also needed much more butter since we wanted to pour it on the corn, but we couldn't get anyone's attention to ask. We waited about 30 more minutes for our server to come back to ask for the check, but she didn't. My friend went and found her to ask for it and then we paid and left. I think that the poor service was mostly a symptom of us going in so late and close to closing, but it's hard to close without letting people pay. I found this oyster bar a few years back when I was living in the area. It's a hole in the wall oyster&seafood spot with no frills and very VERY reasonable pricing. They have a bucket of oysters offering at the bar where you watch the phenomenal staff shuck some incredibly large oysters and place them on the bar with all the different accoutrements one would expect! The oysters are absolutely fresh and delicious for such a phenomenal price! Don't expect fancy cocktails but you can get beer and wine at an incredibly reasonable price. Fast forward almost 5 years later. I returned to Orlando and knew I'd be remiss if i didn't stop by Lee and Rick's to binge on oysters. Everything was exactly as I remember including the reasonable prices and large, fresh and delicious oysters. Our wonderful server Jennifer was such a boss shucking these large oysters and the overall service was phenomenal. It's amazing how 5 years later, it is exactly as I remember but you know what they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"!
