This place uses bad meat, both beef and chicken lo mien uses smelly and bad meat. Their bbq rib is not fully cooked and tastes bad. We ended up eating McDonald's and we wasted $60 on this place. This place is a SCAM, and btw, it is cash only. read more

Terrible. We ordered take out and, unfortunately, didn't try anything until we had driven about a half hour away. I have never given a restaurant review, but I'm a nurse and feel obligated because I fear someone could get sick. The chicken in the chicken and broccoli tasted bad. I didn't eat any of it and spit the bite out that I tried. The fried dumplings tasted freezer burned and had little black specks on them. Not sure if it was mold or if they were cooked in oil with burnt particles in it. We didn't eat them either. The General Tso's chicken didn't taste like any we've ever had before. It was coated in what looked like red jelly. My husband got a shrimp and broccoli dish and said it tasted okay. The egg roll was fine. We spent $46 for food that the majority of which went in the garbage. read more

A nice little mom and pop Chinese restaurant in Ticonderoga. Limited vegetarian choices but my wife and son love the tofu and vegetables in garlic sauce. I personally like more garlic in my sauce but that's me. The prices are a tiny bit higher than I am used too but the portions are excellent so it works out. read more

Perfectly serviceable Chinese food. What I mean is, this place is like a thousand other Chinese restaurants. They seem well set up to do take-out, but also have tables and chairs to dine-in. Food was good. Well made, exactly what we ordered. I see no reason why this place had a low average rating. I would eat here again in a heartbeat. read more

First time eating here and hesitant after reading other reviews. A great find for Chinese in the Adirondacks. For apps, wonton soup was delicious and fried wonton not greasy. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and chicken and broccoli for entrees. All excellent. #1 on our list for Chinese, even surpassing our take out available back home at our full-time residence. read more

Went there for dinner and was disappointed that they weren't flexible for a vegetarian. They had white rice with the bean curd and would not make it in to a combo with veggie lo mein. I had to order a separate pint of lo mein. There was also a problem in that on a Friday night there was only one person working so he took the order and went in the back to cook which took a longtime to get the food to go. While we waited another person came into get food and waited while our food was cooked. I would have been upset to wait to place an order. Stayed in Ti for 4 weeks and I've been here several times. The Teriyaki Chicken on a stick is to die for. Even if you order the small they give you an ample amount. I did find their fried rice a bit salty but the chow main was delicious every time. I go home soon to my usual Chinese restaurant, but when I come back to Ti, I know Happy Star will serve up my favorite dishes. I would have given a 5 star, but the only take cash.
